I remember that comment but I still have my doubts. If we assume that the Technic version of the PU hub will have similar dimensions, the set would look much better and more balanced without the IR receiver, and the cable arrangement could be better too. Additionally with the proportional control of PU the "all time wheelie mode" could be easily avoided to, having a standard mode with ~70% throttle and a boost mode for the wheelies. Would have been also a logical introductory pack for the Technic PU parts with the L motor equivalent. I guess we'll never know but once the Technic hub and the new motors will be introduced my first thing will be to test them with this set to proove my point

Interesting to see how differently it behaves for you, maybe my floor is not as shiny and tidy as yours For me it did wheelies all the time, regardless of the surface or with/without rubber inserts. The only way to start in non-wheelie mode is to turn first then go straight, but due to the speed it was almost impossible to set the direction properly. Really looking forward to build the B model because so far I'm a bit disappointed with this one, so much potential but the set really cannot use its power.

If you check it on the German S@H you can buy the PF parts included for 64€. From this perspective I think it is a good part pack :) -

Not sure if anyone made a verified list, S@H has all 9 sets listed with price and piece count. -

But at least we have the first plain white sticker :) Anyway I think the stickers are a must for such a set, race cars usually have plenty of them. The white being different is a shame though.. -

I was really surprised to see that as well. I started to look for pics of the original car to see if it was intentional :D -

I'm sure it's simply a question of price/piece count/functionality balance. Everyone was complaining about the price of 42056 and the messy gearbox, well here is the low budget version without one. Win-win -

Wow, never expected to see a windshield on a Technic model. Don't say I don't like it, just weird :) I can only recall 42033 that had it. -
Those renders OMG I'm sure you mentioned already so sorry for asking again, you make the renders with Stud.io?

I was also playing with the idea but honestly this build is already very balanced with the L motors and it has a great performance. The motors are structural parts of the build so it'd need a major redesign to incorporate the buggy motors. Additionally I don't think 4 buggy motors would fit and the 2 BuWizz units could not handle them anyway at high/ludicrous speed on rough terrain. With 2 motors you either make it RWD which is again a completely different behavior either try to put them somewhere in the middle but then you need lots of additional axles/gears meaning a lot of potential weak points in the drivetrain. Once I'll build this one I think I'll also rebuild the original sized buggy from @agrof with the 2 buggy motors to compare them, but I don't think there's too much difference in speed. The smaller one I currently have is much lighter so it can use better the power of the buggy motors.

Your fantastic build is just getting better and better, I'm truly amazed! Can't wait longer to test it, can you please confirm if the files on bricksafe are updated with the latest changes? Starting to collect the pieces right now :)

Technic 2019 Set Discussion
kbalage replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I would say yes, as it is not that difficult to motorize the basic sets with these parts. The app-controlled Batmobile has also a good starter PU pack, 42095 will be similar. -

I don't think we'll get it at this point, probably in a 2HY flagship model.
