Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good point. I'm a fan of both so I don't mind either way I just really wanted Wayne manor because of the fact that my bat cave is missing an Alfred and the original is ridiculously expensive to get hold of. An X mansion though would be fantastic it would be nice to have an Xavier to play chess with my magneto and if they like they did with the magneto figure and Ian Mckellen cheekily make the prof's likeness look like Patrick Stewart! It would also make a change from the barrage of Spiderman. It would be something unique! Actually good point about the manor missing the cave I hadn't thought about that! Stark tower was just an example of somewhere where not much happens. I don't expect one unless they make an avengers tower for avengers 2. Good point I suppose with the internet and replays of the show and popular culture kids would've seen the watch tower. I'd love to see one if nothing else than for Martian manhunter! You're right I just fancied an Alfred maybe they'll shove him in a smaller set! -

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I see your point but it is the most iconic building in the batman universe and if you ever have watched btas there are always scenes with Wayne manor same with comic books. Plus bane breaks into Wayne manor before the Bat cave and knocks out Alfred and then bats and bane fight down to the bat cave. Ras al ghul fights Bruce there and then burns the place down in batman begins, The riddler and two face break in there and kidnap Dr chase in forever. Mr freeze tries to kill Alfred, Barbara and Tim in the new batman adventures there. You could say the same about mcu stark tower. An office building where tony stark is attacked by Loki. I mean apart from that not much really goes on there does it either? Its a matter of whether Lego would make either exciting and include lots of features and interesting rooms and cool array of mini figures. shaggysanchez They could include all the villains they want! Did penguin and Mr freeze or bane and poison ivy ever team up and break into the bat cave? No! They make up their own scenarios for sets. Heck with stark tower they could add baron zemo, red skull or even galactus and justify it. My point is a set isn't just what it is its what tlg make it if the scenario is exciting then so is the set. The thing we are forgetting is the Lego sets are not aimed at us older fans they are aimed at Lego's target audience: KIDS!! kids aren't going to see it as a nicer haunted house they are going to look at it and say wow! Wayne manor! look at all the figures and play features they'll play with it for hours on end like Hogwarts like helm's deep like any other set. I doubt we will see a watch tower until justice league movie. Not many younger kids of today have actually seen the old justice league animated series or read many comics starring the Jl. Lego's target audience have probably only seen brave and the bold and the dark knight trilogy!!! The only place that age group could've seen the watch tower either in brave and the bold or the Lego batman 2 video game. The manor on the other hand is iconic every person that age who likes superheroes are bound to have seen it. I'd love to see a watchtower but I don't think that they'll do one until the justice league movie comes out. -

I wouldn't call it the worst movie I'd say phantom is in that category but clones I personally had no problem with in fact apart from phantom I love all of em. On subject I'd go gunship as the sail barge doesn't really have much appeal certainly not to me. I mean the original had guards and Boba Fett and han, solo,Chewbacca, luke, leia. The only principal characters with this one are leia and jabba and for a £100 price tag you don't get many good figures in my opinion as artoo units are a dime a dozen, jabba is available in a far superior set and the rest are sort of background characters and without Han or chewy or Luke you can't really justify such a high price plus the design is not too good. The gunship however has three well known characters updated and one that had never been released until now. Plus two brand new clones and two super battle droids. I never personally got a gunship so I am very happy is a new one and the design is spot on. I'd say the price of £109.99 on that one is easily justified. I'd go for that one if I were you but that just my two cents on the matter. -
Am I the only one who thinks the new Jango Fett looks better with classic grey pistols rather than those Bland and boring hoses? The problem with those is when you make him hold the hoses as if he is shooting them, they don't really look like pistols! Plus in the film the guns were long yes but they looked like futuristic revolver pistols not like smooth long hoses. I think currently that the pistols they used for the old Jango Fett are the most accurate version out of the two. Then again I think the new pearl silver pistols from Lone Ranger would work quite good too. I'll have to do some experimentation.

I do also I just think Wayne Manor would be a nice way to finish the batman aspect of the line off. -
My ideas: jan14: Dc: Wayne manor Battle £100-£120: includes: Alfred, Bruce(black suit),Batman(grey and black suit),Batgirl, Nightwing,Dick Grayson, Ras al ghul and Talia Arrow vs The Dark Archer £11.99 Includes: Arrow and Dark Archer arrow's quad bike and a vehicle for Dark Archer based off Arrow TV show. Man of steel: Krypton Chase £24.99 Includes: Jor el(gold armour),Zod (hair on krypton he had no helmet) (krypton armour),Rebel soldier (in krypton armour),kelex (oval robot thing) Includes Haraku (dragon creature with four wings)and Kryptonian gunship (smaller than black zero Dropship and very bug like) Man of steel: Zod vs Superman final battle £49.99 Includes Zod without helmet but with hair so hair has to fit this time Lego! in Armour,Superman, Lois lane(in army jacket and pony tail),Perry white, Jenny. Included in the set: lex corp Truck for zod to use against supes, maybe a destroyed piece of sidewalk and a tall building(about bugle size) for supes and zod to fight near. Marvel: Thor the Dark world: 2 sets based on action sequences from the movie no doubt. Minifigure wise I'd like to see: Thor (2013 movie design),Jane foster,Odin, sif, heimdall, maybe Loki with a more accurate face,Malekith is obligatory as he is the movie's main villain. Captain America 2 3 sets like with Iron man 3: minifigures to see: Captain America (2014 movie design), Nick fury (mcu design), Black widow (2014 design) the winter soldier and crossbones. Depending whether Disney did buy the merchandising rights off Sony which I read they did. I'd like to see Amazing Spiderman 2 sets. I'd say 3 sets like with man of steel: minifigures I'd like to see: Spiderman both 2012 and 2014 designs),Gwen Stacey, Norman Osborn, green goblin, peter parker, harry Osborn, electro, vulture, rhino and lizard from 2012 film and maybe aunt may. That's just some ideas for 2014. summer and January.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Bane, TDKR batman and Gordon were all shown last year at one of the comic cons! I do see your point however. I'm hoping like with arkham last year they reveal the figures included in A Wayne manor set. I hope the actual manor is revealed in Oct like arkham a perfect way to top off the batman line. We really do need one because we still have no Alfred and its just something every self respecting Lego batman line needs. I'm hoping minfigure wise: Alfred, Bruce (black suit),Batgirl, Batman maybe grey and black that'd be nice, Ras al ghul, Riddler,Talia and Nightwing as robin is already in 3 sets 4 if you count the new polybag. That would be ideal. -
Vader (we need him in a system set),Palpatine (updated with tan face and hands like worm tongue and perhaps a double sided face and robe printing on the legs) Luke (ewok village version) and two Red royal guards (like the original shuttle set) Price point £39.99 (if it can be done with marvel and dc it can be done here) If they wanted to update Vader I suppose they could give him leg printing as he has a long Kama that descends from his waist to his boots which they could just give him a cloth piece. He also has dark silver knee caps and they could print the feet like they did with Boba also his legs have textured rubber lines going down them so they could print that just take a look there is a lot they can update to make him even more accurate: Here's a nice example of what new printing could do for Darth some one made a custom on the net:

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I certainly did. I say they did quite well on the mos line although a krypton based set with jor el in his golden armour would've been nice and for what it represents metropolis showdown is a bit small. If they had not put that army car in and put a plane in the Smallville one that would've been completely accurate. Playfully is good too though. -

Yeah, do they mean patriot. Is there a heartbreaker polybag now as well? -
Good point. I guess no it wasn't! It was the fault of unscrupulous people and uncaring WH smith employees.

Having seen the film, this set is very accurate. However the armour hair problem is unforgivable as zod only wears the helmet in one scene (Smallville battle) he is mostly seen with armour and no helmet throughout many of the key moments of the film. I know that michaelmgf on YouTube has cut a section out of the back of the armour of one of his zod's so the hair fits. I am usually a purist but I may be forced to do the same. maybe if I file the back of the armour down a touch til the hair comfortably sits there it may work. I already have Smallville battle and the metropolis showdown so I have one zod with a helmet already. When I get back zero escape I may have to file down the black of the neck area of the armour to accommodate the hair. Still on the fence about it though. link to his video:

No explanation no. I suppose they did a pretty good job with the sets and nobody is perfect so I'll overlook the ladder and flick fire system in that set. -
One way to think about it I suppose. However that is 100 polybags that 100 children would not be able to get though as that is who the promotion is aimed at. I don't deem that moral. Legal yes but moral, no! That is the reason Lego stopped the sun ones because too many ended up on eBay and too little were given to those that would appreciate them.

Indeed I witnessed first hand a man buying two boxes (100 Urukhai) for about £50! Good point the elves would undoubtedly be the same. Then again as I say another Gandalf couldn't hurt! Could be useful parts for custom Sir Ian Mckellen figure. Or some other use.

I'd like to see another Two MOS sets. Now I will endeavour not to reveal any details that would ruin the movie for anyone who has not yet seen it. Krypton chase £39.99 includes a large dragon type beast I would think brick built like ninjago dragons. One kryptonian gunship. Minifigures: Jor-El in golden armour like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Wuhe7PMZL.jpg (same as current jor el but wearing gold armour piece moulded with the S symbol moulded into it. Zod same as current figure but wearing kryptonian armour with his symbol moulded into it in and a black cape like this:http://media.comicbookmovie.com/images/users/uploads/53693/smdcdstat16-w1000.jpg also armour can't be too high, hair has to fit same with jor el as he does not have a helmet at this point. One kryptonian soldier with armour same as zod with some kryptonian symbol, perhaps Tor an's and a male face and brown mutt Williams hair. Robot helper of jor el's is seen in the clip they released last Friday, Oval shaped with a circular screen on the front (stickered or printed) easily made. Lara like this: http://i1.cdnds.net/13/21/618x412/movies-man-of-steel-lara.jpg . The second set idea is for a huge battle sequence in the film that was sort of represented in Metropolis showdown but for such a large scene it was a small representation that really should've been a flagship set with more in it. Superman vs. Zod £79.99 includes: Superman, Zod in armour but with hair no helmet and no cape, Lois lane: http://icdn9.digitaltrends.com/image/man-of-steel-amy-adams-lois-lane-and-christopher-meloni-colonel-hardy-800x600.jpg in that outfit and pony tail so maybe its time for no cheekbones, Perry White and jenny like this: http://latimesherocomplex.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/manofsteel19.jpg?w=600. Two krypton soldiers with armour like zod's but not identical with helmets and two army personnel and jor el wearing an open printed over robe over his s suit so some of the S is visible: http://i43.tinypic.com/1zpkzf4.jpg Included in set: Kryptonian ship like black zero drop ship but larger and with an interior and a golden colour this: http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t389/TheEst/Films/Man%20of%20Steel/man-of-steel-kryptonian-spaceship.jpg:original Big army plane looks like this: http://a.abcnews.com/images/International/gty_us_plane_dm_130503_wg.jpg, Lex-corp truck and a destroyed sidewalk. Inside the plane include a cockpit like quinjet that leads into the storage area which includes a small pod this: http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t389/TheEst/Films/Man%20of%20Steel/man-of-steel-krypton-hope-space-ship.jpg~original. The inside of the kryptonian ship should include a large room with a control chair in the centre and a sticker on the wall to represent the DNA chamber.

Just thought I'd throw this bit of news out there. Its nothing major but if uk fans haven't got Gandalf the grey yet then this might help you: http://www.brickset....D=6801#comments I personally do have one its a shame they picked that poly over the elf one which would have been ideal. It is perplexing they picked this poly at all as the hobbit pt2 doesn't come out until Dec! It would've been better to do a different one from the lone ranger or something like that. Then again another Gandalf couldn't hurt. Especially for 80p! Any news on when the 2013 lotr sets will be hitting the uk?

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree! Talk about the sets people. Ideology has no place here. On another note picked up metropolis showdown today, small set but nice and it gives you superman and zod which are my first man of steel figures not counting jor el! I think the best way to display this one is to have zod wielding the girder at superman and the car looking topsy turvy with superman in a leaned forward position on a piece used for the cosmic cube to give the illusion of hovering plus the leg at the back covers it up so you really get a nice illusion. Will definitely pick up black zero escape next week. My only complaint with these sets is Zod's armour/hair problem it really is quite a bother as zod rarely wears his helmet in the movie and mostly wears armour with his head and hair showing. I also wish we had got different variations of zod's armour as the one he wears on earth is not the same as krypton one. Apart from that I'm satisfied that the movie was represented faithfully in the sets. If there had been more space for more sets then I would've liked to see two more. One set on krypton as surprisingly a lot of action goes on there. Also a larger one to properly recreate the final action sequence although metropolis showdown is mostly correct but just only a tiny section. -

After seeing the movie I love the fact that the set is very accurate to the scene it is based on plus there is a reason zod is not wearing armour (watch the movie and understand) In fact this set's scene is in the trailers. -

I was only going to get that and the Smallville battle but I have since decided due to the pure awesomeness of the metropolis showdown set's subject matter that I just have to get it because of that scene. Its only £10 in Tesco yesterday so maybe I'll pick that up tomorrow. Nice that black zero escape gives you a nice place to display your jor el. Shame no set set on krypton! The scenes with Russell riding the you know what if you've seen the film were just breath-taking!
