Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The one in the boat set has a new head which is used on the new tony stark figure with a grin and a sad/ scared expression on the other side. The avengers head is used on the exclusive one in the small set. -
Corey burton voices both cad bane and count dooku so technically he has two minifigs based on his vocal performance.Lets not even mention dee bradley baker!! (there are so many minfigs of him its impossible to count them all) If you look at magneto's head it has a screaming likeness to Sir Ian Mckellen in fact it would not suprise me in the least if they used his face when making the design. Same with jackman. But technically they are not based on movie appearences. The new bruce wayne minifig also looks a hell of a lot like christian bale and with that hairstyle and suit i can't find any comic that it could be based off and now there have been two dark knight versions of batman so i suppose depending on how you look at it he has had three minifigs in his image.

Damaged? I think not!! Maybe thats just how they mold them now cause i have the helm's deep set and that "mark" is present on all but really i couldn't be less bothered!!! It is obvious that it doesn't cause any problems with the armour so really it doesn't really warrant concern. In fact i thought that it was just a new curved feel to them lego was introducing!

I'd like to see a set with new yoda fighting a flesh version of sidious in the senate next year for about £59.99 minifigures: yoda(same as the one this year) flesh sidious/palpatine with one side of face evil smile with same sort of design as the scarred part of face that papatine had in 2012 and the other side a scowl, mas ameda and two shock troopers. As rots is next in line for new sets to join the ones released in 2012! Judging by the aotc range this year I would wager that rots is next.I'd like to see padme's shuttle on mustafar to really recreate the scene from rots when anakin and obi wan meet and begin the duel perhpas with a cloaked obi wan and a pregnant padme i'd imagine a price about £29.99.Minifigures: obi wan, anakin, padme, artoo and c3po. I'd also like to see obi's starfighter from the opening space battle of rots maybe with anakin's yellow starfighter and a less happy version of anakin but not evil with perhaps one side of his face a commlink same with obi then perhaps a tri fighter in there to complete the set. Price £39.99 minfigs:anakin, obi wan and two buzz droids. For a big set its obvious that for this range a jedi temple would be best. This would have to be price about arkham asylum in the superheroes range so about £129.99. It would have to make up the exterior look of the temple but as sets based on large buildings do it would have to not be truly to scale (minifig wise) The main building would have to be the large hall area with a few small rooms off the side of it like the library and the place where yoda teaches younglings. The three towers could have things in them as well. The small towers could have small things such as the communications centre and the large tower could have at the top a large room for the jedi council chamber. Minfigs would have to be quite a few: Hooded dark anakin,2 generic jedi knights,4 501st clone troopers,1 jedi master, two younglings, madame jocasta nu and bail organa it should also include a landing platform for his speeder and his speeder. Obi wan in this wave should have printed legs similar to cw and a new torso design like the cw one but more movie like. Also a battle of utapau set for about £69.99 would be good it could include:general grevious's wheelbike a new printed boga a tan version of the laat and two crab droids. Minfigs:Obi wan kenobi, general greivous new rots version, commander cody(phase 02),two 212th battalion clones and one superbattledroid and one regular bd. For clone wars it would be brilliant to see sidious from the clone wars design recently shown in the clone wars episode "the lawless".Perhaps in a set with his cw shuttle and maul and savage maybe maul will have his new more human like legs in this set.Sidious could have a shadow printed on the top half of his face so his eyes look shaded by the hood with perhaps a scowl and the other side of his head could be without the shade with an evil smile.

They are definitley flesh not grey they look same as his hands take a look at the image again. This other poster you speak of i cannot seem to find!! The only posters i remember were the one released with lego club magazine with all the characters and gollum and the one of gandalf and bilbo at bag end. The shadow at the side makes one of the arms seem grey but the arm in the light is definitley the same colour as the hand holding the axe and same flesh colour as the head.. It is flesh clear as day.

No it can't be it says desolation of smaug at the top and thorin is not wearing his grey armour you can clearly see he has flesh arms.

If Barad-Dur ever is on the cards i would like to see either one set in the scene that you say the way to mt doom. (I'd like to see a mount doom also) Or the prologue of the fellowship of the ring.Either way i'd like to certainly see a minifigure version of sauron as there would be no other opportunity to get one!!! having said that, we might see a necromancer figure in the winter wave of hobbit sets!! I'd like to see a set with Azog as i was saddened not to see him in the unexpected journey wave. Also radagast would be good. I think what would be very cool would be a set with the trolls and the campfire and the huge rock gandalf smashes in half. Minifigs: Three trolls, one pony, bilbo possibly with a scruffier jacket as it had got quite wet and roughed up in the rain.,Gandalf and killi. Imagined price point £40-£50. I think for radagast a small set with his sled and two wargs would be good (with rabbits of course) Minifigs: Radagast the Brown, hunter orc and another orc perhaps azog as he was replaced by the figure who was in this scene in the set that should have been his. Imagined price point: £11.99. LOTR-Wise i'd like to see The Bridge of khazadum!! The balrog from the video-game and the actual bridge and a play feature for the balrog half of the bridge to break off!! Minifigs: gandalf the grey with hair cape staff and sword,Frodo with a regular upset face rather than the posessed one. An orc wearing a helmet perhaps. Imagined price point: £19.99. Boromir's Last Stand would be good or amon hen. Could include a tree for aragorn to be pinned up against. I don't know what its called but the big stone table type thing with the stairs that aragorn fights uruks on top of. Minifigs: Boromir(with a horn),lurtz in armour, aragorn with green cape, merry and pippin and maybe one uruk .Same sort of size set as weathertop. imagined price point £39.99-£49.99. The table type thing should be about the same sort of height and maybe have a launching play feature to shoot a figure off the top (perhaps like in palpatine's arrest In star wars). I'd like to have a set of the witch king fighting eowyn and theoden. It should include two horses and the fell beast for the witch king. Minifigs: the Witch King of Angmar, theoden without helmet and perhaps other side of head with some scarring. Eowyn with hair and includes helmet as well, merry in rohan armour,a ringwraith and maybe an orc to balance it out. Imagined price point: £25-£30. also some sets making up the battle of pelenor fields that can be used together. One with an oliphant and a horse or two including aragorn, legolas, and about 4 evil men that use the oliphants and maybe an orc for about £69.99. another set with a siege tower and a wall section of minas tirith. Another one with the same sort of thing but with a catapult each containing four gondor soldiers and some orcs and maybe one with a troll for about £35 each. And then finally in the spirit of helm's deep a large set with the large mountain type structure with the courtyard on top and an interior inside with the throne room. Also in the set the gates which attach to the wall sections mentioned above also the battering ram. Minfigures:Gandalf the White on shadowfax,Denethor,Faramir,Pippin in gondor armour, two trolls,Gondor captain, and two orcs. Price point about £100-£119.99.

The same sort of mold for the large scale minifig torches could be used obviously with a molded helmet though.Cause those are as tall as whitecap bay. Just a thought. Oh wait this was already said two pages back apologies. -
"Welcome inspector" I too am a fan of javert. Those designs are really good nice to see someone making them based off les miserables!! Have you seen the new movie? You could probably make some good designs from that.Ive recently been scouring my collection trying to find the perfect, head, hair and torso for a russell crowe javert!! Sorry if i'm a bit late i neglected to read the dates of the posts!!! .

Looks like an awesome lineup for the summer range epecially the minifigs darth maul cw,jango fett and count dooku.Just after seeing darth sidious in action in the last episode of clone wars with those two sabers i bet he would make an awesome cw minifig his costume is unique to cw after all.

I think it looks good but would prefer a clark just in the suit as that has more use really. But eh! In regards to the lego batman movie i believe it is based on the game but completely reanimated so not reusing game footage! I took a screenshot from the trailer and from the cutscene of lego batman 2 and the style and animation is completely different take a look: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ I'll buy it as the animation looks greatly improved for the film and i'm a sucker for exclusive minifigures. -
New picture of darth vader empire strikes out dvd exclusive minfigure on hothbricks: http://www.hothbricks.com/2013/01/the-empire-strikes-out-en-dvd-le-26-mars-2013/

Thats what the box says. Its probably a preliminary cg design for the official image! The figure will actually have the medal either printed ,or maybe one of the detachable ones we got in the olympic minfigure packs. Either way an exclusive minifig is an exclusive minifig and the special was quite enjoyable.

REVIEW: 76004 Spider-Man: Spider-Cycle Chase
legofreak86 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ace review! This set is great for the price point it has! As you get two vehicles and three awesome minifigures.I would reckon that nick fury and venom are going to be big draws for the set. The car itself is very well designed! It seems lego vehicles are becoming more detailed every year recently. The cycle (although spiderman wouldn't really need it) is very nicely designed also and probably could be used for any of your superheroes! I think its wonderful that lego can give us three minifigs and two reasonably sized vehicles and maintain the £20 price point. This set impresses me and i will certainly be purchasing it.- 62 replies

REVIEW: 76001 The Bat vs Bane: Tumbler Chase
legofreak86 replied to PhillipJFry's topic in LEGO Licensed
The good thing about Bane's symbol stickers and the Bat logo is the models look fine without them! The whole sticker you put on top of the Bat I personally would put on, as it makes it look more detailed. The Tumbler may not be the one we were hoping for but it's the one we got! The best way to salvage it if you don't want to mod it, is just not to put the stickers on as it looks much better without them (in my opinion). I would be interested to see what people come up with after modding them though. I will certainly purchase this set for figures alone batman and bane are just too good to pass up and its a fairly decent set! Oh and before i forget, Ace review! -

Super Hero Caption Contest! Week Four

Santa: You think your amneisia is bad! I've been redesigned so many times that I don't even know who i am anymore! -
Nice, it is reminiscent of the one used in the original 1989 batman film. Especially with the wheel on the front used to open it!

the Lone Ranger is played by Armie Hammer so i'd have thought that he would be in all the sets as he is the main character. Depp is playing his sidekick so I would think he wouldn't be in all sets, as Lego's strategy with characters is to put the main character in every set. They then spread the secondary characters around so you have to buy all sets to get all of them. There is a fair bet that depp's character will be in over 2 sets though. The trailer should give you some idea what the sets are based on.
