Spectacular!!!!!! Azog and radagast. Wow necromancer sounds cool! I guess he will appear in more of a physical form after all in desolation then as he is the antagonist of this set from what I can tell from your comment splendid! So let me get this straight Dol Guldur battle (the big set) includes: 2 orcs (new gundabad), radagast Gandalf, azog and the necromancer? That's awesome!

That'd be very cool! I personally don't mind as due to price and other things preventing me I haven't got arkham yet so it would be alright to get that one. However the face didn't exactly inspire confidence in the figure when I saw it hopefully if it is the same then it'll grow on me. I still have 2008 one so its alright if it isn't that attractive. .

Nice!!! Love that scuba batman that does as the person before said look like the best £13 set ever!!!! Wow that's two new batmen in one wave! The grey and black one and the blue scuba one. You never know they might even have another variant in this wave of batsy! Remember 2012! They had three batman variants: Black, grey and blue and Jetpack. So this year it could be something similar Grey and black, scuba and another type of suit colour/variant. Just a prediction.

Croc would be amazing!!!! Then that'd mean we got: a new joker, new batman, new penguin?, new riddler, flash, batgirl, Nightwing ,man bat and killer croc all in one year. Plus all that in only 4 sets plus the penguin robot henchmen and the joker one.

The venator was a set you'd look at for a second and a piece would fall off. A right pain if you ask me. I don't have an ISD so that would be pretty awesome if we get one in 2014.

Yes Trench had a really brilliant look and temperament in the series. He seemed very much like a classic star wars villain: intelligent and precise and pure evil. A military genius and an intriguing character design. I wouldn't mind seeing a figure of him in some shape or form. I'm not too keen on spiders but I strangely didn't find trench scary due to the way he talked/acted.

Yes the description that Kris said was "White orc" which it is safe to assume refers to azog especially as Lego have said a future set would include a white version of azog. Due to the information said I could see this large scale set being the classic knight's kingdom style heroes vs. villains set with a large fortress. We already know that Gandalf the grey, radagast the brown, the necromancer, azog and a regular orc are said to be included with a warrior with a big red beard and a short name. Bolg is only four letters and the description of him being taller than other minifigures is accurate to the character. So judging by what has been shown/said I reckon the basis of this set is Gandalf and radagast go to Dol Guldur to figure out the truth but walk into a trap set by the necromancer and his orcs as shown in the trailer (It's undoubtedly a trap" Gandalf claims before drawing his sword with radagast close at hand.) and an epic confrontation between wizard and orc breaks out also with the necromancer. Or maybe they go there something happens and then they return with help. Either way I reckon whilst Bilbo and the dwarves go through hell in mirkwood and the elves have their fights with orcs that the Gandalf and radagast attempt to stop the necromancer and figure out just what is going on. There we are my two cents. Either way I think this may turn out to be another popular Christmas item like goblin battle was last year as it was listed on the top 10 Christmas present list done by toysrus I think.

Yeah I kind of had a mental blackout after cloud city. My mind just went blank so I just posted the ones in my predictions.
-
Apologies. That wasn't my intention. I was merely referencing what the line could potentially give us in the future and what inspiration for sets exists from the series.

Good point there! We need either phase 2 cw Cody or ep 3 rots Cody good thing is that the clones in helmets and armour look similar to the pt clones so therefore you can cross over your pt stuff with your cw clones to make the biggest army.

Yes but the clone wars cancel was sudden the Disney thing didn't confirm the end of the clone wars it just confirmed who bought the company. Two different things we are talking about here. The clone wars announcement came out of nowhere around season 5's last episode if memory serves. It was anyone's guess whether Disney would keep CW when they bought the company until at least a month after the announcement that Disney bought star wars was made. Think about this example. Lego's hobbit line was made to cover events of two films but then Jackson split them into three and expanded a new character throwing Lego completely off guard so they had to label two sets not set to appear in a movie til this December preview sets. If Lego didn't know anything about that til it was too late then it is unlikely they would have known that CW would be cancelled. I would be sad to not see them finish the CW brand of sets with the remaining important characters: Admiral yularen, Darth sidious, pre vizsla (season 4-5 ), dutchess satine, bo katan, an updated Hondo and I'm sure there are some more troopers left for them to make.

Here! Here! I have no problem with the CW faces as they are made to resemble the clone wars animation style not their movie counterparts so it would make no sense to have them share the design of the prequel and original trilogy stuff as then they would not look accurate to the show. Besides mine fit in very well with their PT and OT counterparts. In fact I can't wait til xmas when I can get some more CW I'm still missing Obi Wan's new look, Darth Maul robotic legs and believe it or not I still have no ashoka or phase 2 stuff. I can see another clone wars and star wars lego orientated Christmas on the horizon for me..... lol

As we now know the winter line is now confirmed through prelim pics. This is how I could see the summer line going. It is beyond unlikely that Lego will release rebels sets as they plan their waves a year in advance and most likely thought CW was set to continue. The rebels show doesn't even start til autumn 2014 so the earliest we will see sets of that will be Dec 2014. With that in mind here are my predictions: Yoda vs. Sidious senate duel £39.99. This set would fill the spot yoda vs. Dooku did this year. It would include a large podium for sidious and a senate pod. The podium would have a rising feature and the senate pod could be launched from a launcher mechanism which would allow to recreate the pod throwing scene. The bod would also have a flip panel where two characters standing on it would be launched in opposite directions. Includes: Palpatine(brown robes and a paler whiter flesh face with the same sort of detailing as palpatine's arrest but double sided one with a scowl and one with a smile. Yoda (same as Dooku set)and two shock troopers using the new helmets introduced for the Kashyk battle pack next year. Padme's shuttle £29.99. This set would be padme's shuttle from the revenge of the sith scene where she goes to confront Anakin on mustafar. The set would be the design of the ship from the movie with the ramp for boarding at the back and a corridor interior leading to the cockpit. It would also include a opening with a sliding door for obi wan to hide in. The set would include Padme (episode 3 mustafar outfit), Obi wan (hooded episode 3 version from grievous wheel bike January set hair also included), Anakin in brown cape and hood like the palpatine's arrest version but with a cape and hood and c3po. The Emperor's throne room duel £59.99 includes a large scale play set of the emperor's throne room. Complete with opening elevator doors, double staircase, a large platform with designs and the emperor's swivel chair in front of the large observational window. Also has a large area underneath the platform for where Luke hides when Vader goes after him. It also has a collapsing walkway/platform above the top platform which can be collapsed to send Luke falling down the stairs and lever which can launch the emperor over the rails into the reactor off the circular platform. Set includes: Luke skywalker (ewok village design), Darth Vader with leg printing, The emperor with a new tan or very pale white flesh colour for his face and hands with a double sided face one of anger and an evil smile and two royal guards. Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter £19.99 either his JSF from Aotc or his Eta class fighter from rots. depending on which it would be either rots obi wan with printed headset or AOTC obi wan with printed headset and r4p17. darth Sidious's Eta Class shuttle attack (store exclusive) £49.99: Includes palpatine's clone wars shuttle from the episode the lawless. Shuttle includes turbo lasers and an opening back with a spacious corridor and a boarding ramp and a cockpit that swivels up and down and can fit one minfigure. Included in this set are: Darth Sidious CW version with outfit he wore the lawless and a double sided face with shade over his eyes which are yellow and an evil smile on the other side a scowl (equipped with two gold handle red sabers), Darth Maul (the lawless) includes dark grey legs with kneecap printing and black tunic on the torso with a bit of his chest showing through (armed with a red lightsaber), Savage oppress (robotic arm), Pre vizsla (series 4 onwards design) armed with darksaber, Bo katan and Obi Wan (Red mandalorian armour). £199.99 Lego/store exclusive. Cloud city: Includes a large layout of cloud city with a torture chamber for solo a conference room, a landing platform big enough to hold the falcon, A carbon freezing chamber for the duel, a room where Luke gets thrown out onto the catwalk and the catwalk for duelling and underneath the play set an aerial for skywalker to hang on. Play features include opening sliding doors, breaking window for Luke to fall out of. Rising carbon freezing platform, catwalk with breakaway rails and columns, statue in the city with exploding feature. Set includes: Luke skywalker (besbin design with dark tan hairpiece used in millennium falcon set), Darth Vader (with blue and red buttons printed on his torso piece rather than red and green and leg printing. leia (cloud city garb), Chewbacca with c3po on his back with gold handcuffs, R2d2, Boba Fett with leg printing but cloud city armour, Lando calrissian (2012 head and new torso and two toned cape),4x storm troopers one imperial officer,2x besbin guards and Lobot.

Indeed! Revenge of the sith hasn't been in cinemas since 2005 and we still are getting sets from that every year, especially next year and the 3D cinema showings were cancelled for that so what does that tell you. If the company simply stopped making sets of the films that aren't in the cinema then quite frankly there wouldn't be any more sets until 2015 and we would've waited since 2008! Point is even though clone wars isn't on TV Lego will continue to release sets from the show until they have used up the material and planning for sets they have left. Lego plan their set waves a year in advance meaning Lego didn't know that CW would stop this year so its not a far stretch of the imagination to expect some more CW sets after the winter line. Rebels doesn't start til autumn next year! The earliest we will see sets of that will be December 2014! That is not going to be in the summer wave! Leaving a gap for the movies and clone wars in the summer. Logic gentlemen.

Updated palpatine with a more accurate skin colour other than grey like a tan or fleshy white. Luke in besbin outfit with leg printing for pouches and gun strap with a serious expression for once and the hairpiece from the millennium falcon in dark tan. Yoda (original trilogy) with slightly older face with more wrinkles printed and with the outfit he wore in empire strikes back. Darth Vader (ESB) with the torso printed with red and blue buttons on his chest piece rather than green and red and printing on his legs. Grand moff Tarkin with CW dooku's hairpiece in dark grey a printed uniform and a double sided face that has pupils and looks like peter Cushing. Cloud city Lando from empire strikes back with double toned cape and the new comb over hairpiece commonly used in the superheroes range. printed torso. Luke skywalker (endor) with camo hat and printing like the original variant on the torso with black arms with a serious expression and a scared one. Episode 3 sidious in brown robes and with a accurate skin colour as mentioned for episode six palpatine. Padme (episode 3) The outfit where she confronts Anakin on mustafar. Cw sidious the outfit he wore in the lawless, lawless darth maul with tunic and printed normal legs, pre vizsla post season 4 with scars on face longer cape and antennas on helmet, bo katan and satine.

Wow this just reinforces that I really need one of those 2012 tie fighters and an x-wing!! In fact when it comes to original trilogy vehicles I am oddly lacking I have a lot of troops speeders, locations e.t.c but no starships from that era oddly. Blimey I never realised how big those new ties were!!! No wonder these ships needed docking ramps and ladders in the films!!!
-
I strongly agree! Plus we still need series 4-5 pre vizsla, CW sidious, season 5 Mandalore design darth maul, bo katan and duchess satine to name a selection!
-
It worked for me! Its the box art slightly bigger plus the usual official picture of the set in it's entirety out of the box with a white background with the figures in front of the set lined up. This could be a sign that the rest of the official set images may be on their way soon. That is a hope not a statement.

To each his own. I actually thought that the Ultimate Spider Man version of doctor octopus in the show was an insult to the character. I only bought the set with him in as Spidey was included and even if the inspiration for the design of the character was flawed it was still doc ock and I didn't get the 2004 one so this was the only opportunity (I figured) to get a doc ock in a set. However if the comic version is the one in the next year set I will welcome it with open arms opposed to the joke that the ultimate one was. The old 2004 version though will never be replaced however as Alfred Molina's performance was so pitch perfect it defined how the character should be played in cinema.

I hope you are right! Game ock is the best design yet. The face makes me instantly think of the 1994 animated television show as does the lab coat and outfit. Handy thing there also is that with those hooks on hoses you'll be able to have your doc ock supported by his claws when posed but you can probably turn the arm's round for when he uses then whilst standing on the ground! the perfect compromise. So villain wise this year could be amazing: A better doc ock, Ultimate Goblin, Modok, winter soldier, whoever the black hooded guy was and electro? That's a villain packed year finally our marvel rogues gallery can catch up with the ever growing DC/Batman multitude of villains. That's possibly six new villains for 2014. plus there are still the Xmen sets which could give us some more villains. Maybe if they are DOFP sets we could get magneto (film version).

Good point. In the game doom has hired and allied himself with every bad guy of marvel universe and as far as I am aware judging by the trailers and images there is a lab level involving modok. So I reckon the lab set will have purple panted hulk and the set will involve MODOK and the other villain trying to experiment with the cosmic bricks. That's just a prediction based on the fact it is a lab set.

Ok that's true, but his primary look in the series is the blue glowing no outfit look. That original look was limited to that episode. Plus the videogame version has no boots whereas the TV show one does. I think with pure yellow legs (mistaken for yellow but really a paler colour) it is more likely to be sandman. That's a hope really as sandman is quite a good and usable spider man villain. I'm not that familiar with electro outside of the 1995 animated television series but from what I've heard he is quite iconic. As the person clearly specified yellow legs I think it is most likely sandman with sand legs. I could be wrong however.

As for the cap set I think you are right as in the filming it shows winter soldier attacking a large green jeep (which was mentioned) wearing a dark green uniform. Also in the filming black widow and Steve Rogers in casual clothes with shield are present. The scene described as a destructive highway battle. they may be combining the motorbike from the filming of another scene or even this scene with this scene and adding cap in his winter soldier gear. The motorbike in the filming was dark green as described in the descriptions given by Kris kelvin. : http://www.movieweb....ter-soldier-set. I'm hoping the avengers set includes Red Skull as I fear it will be our only chance to get him. Sounds promising though red skull and modok? That's two villains from marvel to add to our rogue's galleries. I do Hope Coulson shows up in a USM set like the one from the videogame. Yes a shield jet would surely mean Coulson as there are no well known shield agents other than Coulson and fury in the show. Nice to hear GG is getting a glider set. I actually quite liked the design of GG from USM. I don't think green and yellow person is electro as in the show he is glowing blue and doesn't wear a yellow and green suit. I think a stand in for or just colours look different sandman is far more likely.

The only Malekith in the game is apparently the comic one. Odin might though. It annoys me beyond comprehension that Lego would fail to produce a set for such an excellent movie that they have the rights to make sets of. why do it from iron man 3 and not this or cap 2?
