It is not to everyone's taste but I find it rather cool (Alfred) Yeah clay face and the vehicle are great ideas plus Ras would just be superb I've always wanted a Ras since batman begins. Then I watched some tas with him in and he is awesome. He is like batman's equal got the same fighting style and skill. Plus he is like an eternal adversary as he has the Lazarus pit. A minfigure of him would just be superb.

TBH despite the fact that a lot of people clearly against it I would imagine that the "Flagship" £79.99 set ala bat cave would be Wayne manor now that it has a lot of screen time in the new batman cartoon, it could be quite usable if they add some good details and some features like elevator opening fireplace/grandfather clock/bookcase/wall. They could make it so Ras and another villain are attacking the manor and Alfred, Bats and Bruce, batgirl and or knightwing are defending it. If they wanted to make the set very cool they could have a battle damaged Bruce Wayne or something like that or give him a different outfit perhaps similar to the beware series. Anyway yeah I'd say a logical £80 set to flagship the wave would be the manor. Exclusive could either be something mos or arrow related or another bat set with some exclusive figures. The £30 one is confirmed so I hope to see what the small, medium, large and flagship sets will be. With Alfred's beware makeover we could get a secret agent Alfred with two pistols and a bowler hat. I'd personally prefer something more comic related with Alfred but I wouldn't say no to beware's version. The bat vehicle in that set could be a bat mech like the one seen in brave and the bold or something seen in beware. I want to see riddler (check), Ras al ghul, Killer croc, Man Bat, clay face, mad hatter and maybe scarecrow again as I'm unlikely to ever get the arkham set.

Glad to hear Ras is appearing in beware that means there is a good chance he will be part of the dc 2014 range. From what I can see they are following the 2012 pattern and doing 6 sets in Jan 2014. I reckon they will be predominantly batman based sets judging by what we know and have heard from fwoosh. Judging by this the £80 one ala 2012 bat cave could be the one we see Ras in. This riddler set unveiled is the equivalent in the line to the 2012 batwing set. (3 minifigures two vehicles £30 price tag) I highly doubt apart from maybe one dc related set other than batman like with the lex luthor mech in 2012 that we will see any sets of Dc not related to batman as at the moment there are no big dc productions scheduled for 2014. Batman is the character that seems to appeal to kids the most plus with his own new TV show and it's modern new direction I would bet kids adore batman currently. The kids may say wow a flash figure that's a nice extra but they buy the sets because they like bats! That's obvious as the batman sets are very popular. Plus if there is a non-bats dc set it will most likely either be green arrow related as he has his own show now or another mos one as the movie is still very popular and will be in 2014. The only chances of seeing more non batman heroes will be in batman sets as extra characters I hope to see batgirl, Alfred etc this year as well so I'd say not counting the superman 2012 style £20 range set we may only get one more JL member (hopefully lantern). Unless of course arrow (TV version hopefully) is the star of the £20 set. I doubt we will get sets focussing on the league until 2015 to be honest as that is when the movie will be coming out supposedly. I really hope so! Mega Bloks certainly don't have the construction rights as Disney own the merch rights rather than Sony. This could mean it is a possibility. Its certainly one I'd like to see come to fruition!

Nope peter Jackson said in the interview section that the dwarves would have their final showdown with smaug towards the end of the movie. Whether this means they do injure smaug then smaug flies off to lake town is unknown. Then again PJ could've changed the action in the movie maybe smaug and lake town come into contact and then he flies back and the dwarves get in on the action. I'm sure bard will probably be involved in that anyway for reasons that I will not mention. The article as I read it had all that info in a paragraph. They were not separate quotes they all related. It was a whole four page spread of Peter Jackson talking about what we will see in the movie when he was asked that general question. Fran's comment may have been unrelated but she joined the conversation after PJ said about the dwarves fighting smaug. He said that battle with the dwarves was really going to amaze audiences and improve that part of the story giving a better end than what happened in the book. Then again Walsh could have been talking about another action sequence as she was a bit vague.... Still 4 more sets not including this one sounds good to me! More than that then that would be exceptional.

Now we have proper pics batman looks pretty cool with grey hands, and the belt is definitely accurate as is the symbol. The riddler looks surprisingly good. The question marks printed on the jacket and the whole purple and green feel really looks like something riddler would wear! Love the scarf! The costume in total makes him look like he could've come out of wacky races. Death race to oblivion springs to mind! At least the cane is gold rather than red even if it is still a crowbar. That hat on riddler as well! Flash looks awesome glad to see him finally. The bat mobile looks really cool and the colours really work well! Even the orange cockpit works with the design of the vehicle! Riddler's hot-rod looks not half bad in real life! Lovely to see a grey and black variant of our dear dark knight, even if it is slightly inaccurate to source material. Glad they ditched the circle logo this year the new one just looks much more modern! Very impressed Lego! Come January,this will be in my collection!

PJ said the final battle with smaug would heavily involve the dwarves and heavy artillery and one mightily bleeped off dragon. He said a definitive confrontation of the dwarves with their enemy smaug would happen near the end of that movie. Fran Walsh said it was the largest scale action piece PJ has ever attempted!!! I reckon the biggest set will be that and it may not be lake town where the whole thing takes place it may spread to lake town but I think it could be erebor where the main dragon battle is fought in dos. Depends how pj is swinging it. He just said it is awesome and it will make our jaws drop. I should think smaug could appear in that set. the source is the big dos special in empire magazine!

Agreed there wouldn't be a market for them as people would have them already or be not that interested. I mean design wise the spider one barely made up for it's price tag! The figures are cool. I should really get some auj sets before nov as I have none of those but from what I've seen I'm quite impressed with them. back on topic I doubt highly lego will recycle those sets as they probably have something even better in their places planned for the wave.

Indeed I'm looking forward to the physical pictures of the set and figures. Glad to see Thorin has his dos design of torso without armour the one we saw him in the barrel scene in the trailer.

There is still hope for those two in the rest of the dc 2014 wave which Is looking increasingly likely to be completely batman related! I'm looking forward to seeing what else appears over the next few months....

Hope this means some ep3 sets I'm crossing my fingers for yoda vs. a redesigned sidious in the robe design seen in rots! Plus just noticed tarfull has a really detailed face print in one of the photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could this mean redesigned printed Chewbacca and wookie warriors??? I think so!!!! Also gree has 2013 clone helmet shape.

I hope we are getting physical pictures of the riddler chase set in good quality this year rather than just the two leaked bad quality and cgi ones! I want to see riddler's full torso and cane and what batman looks like close up so I can judge for myself. To me its a cop out they are not revealing the minifigure line up for winter or at least revealing one marvel set as well as dc. I'll take what I can get though if we ever get proper pictures from the con of the physical set so we can actually see what the figures look like! I was hoping fbtb would have them same as last year! Where are all their lego reveal photos? Unless they are waiting until the end of Sunday to upload all of the Lego reveal pictures in one and not just dc superheroes.

So hope that is like with Bilbo was last year at comic con for unexpected journey!! If azog doesn't turn up in one of the sets I will be angry as hell! Hopefully this figure will be in the hobbit set they are revealing at the weekend like Bilbo was at the last con.

I'd advise picking up the 2012 ones he is in. There was that huge batwing type vehicle seen in the trailer for Lego movie which looks awesome. as they are doing 17 sets for the movie of lego I would not put it past them to have that behemoth bat flying vehicle as one of them which could include black bats as it is his vehicle. the 2012 ones are pretty much still availiable everywhere and the black one is in 2 different sets. The bank one is really cool as is the batwing so which ever take your pick. But this may appear in the 2014 lego movie line:

Just remembered this image. The promo art version of the beware the batman television series had a grey suit with the same colour gloves and a black cape and cowl. Mystery solved I guess they were given concept art again:

Oh yeah the model looks like the statue!!! Awesome. I think it is partially new 52 based as I looked up the costume and it looks similar minus the belt. Yeah perhaps it is their own design this year nice to see a grey and black one though! I was hoping for one of those. Not too sure on gloves though...

hang on a sec I just watched the first episode and the suit is jet black! It isn't grey the colour of the cowl and the suit is all jet black! It is a shinier black but it is still black! Clear as day! Maybe because the original concept art for the suit was grey with a black symbol Lego decided to go with that design. That's a shame cause the one in the show isn't grey. Plus the belt is innacurrate as the real belt is straight and this one has the bits at the ends of the belt with a circular curve to them plus there is no triangular meeting point in the middle. I'm starting to think this Is based on something else and only the car is from beware. Just found an image of the beware action figure completely different colour scheme and design. Either Lego were deliberately trying to make this design inaccurate or this is based one something else. The figure is worlds apart:

Then shouldn't his cape and cowl be the same colour? if he is grey in the show. Plus still can't tell the riddler's cane and what his full jacket looks like.

If nothing else at least it'll be gold by the look of it. Even if it is a crowbar. Hope its a cane though. I am looking forward to seeing the batman variant up close to see how it matches up with the one from the show its based on. I also hope he has a new backside of face hopefully a teeth showing grimace rather than a smile. As it is a beware the batman variant then that could mean they have changed the mouth but clearly judging by the other figures not having cw eyes I think Lego steered clear of those. The Flash looks very cool I especially love the circular mold of the helmet as it is far more accurate than the bucket from the movie and videogame of Lego batman.

Based on the pics of Spidey's back of torso there is no denying that figure is an amazing Spiderman 2 variant, the back of the torso is identical to the back of the suit in every way possible in lego. No it curves downwards I'm sure of it! The crow bar is straight at the top. This curves downward like a question mark. Wait a sec if it is the question mark he may be holding it so the mark is facing toward the side of the image that riddler is on. Meaning the bit we can see is where the symbol begins to curve from the stick itself.The question mark is not entirely visible as the engine blocks it. I'm disappointed about this being the only superheroes reveal and no figures by the look of it but I look forward to seeing better pics of the figures and if riddler has his cane tomorrow.

I zoomed in the picture and if you look really carefully it looks like the gold bit curves downwards and looks 3D. Due to the fact that it is curved then I would reckon that may well be a bit of the question mark of his cane! Well I'll guess we'll see properly tomorrow. It really is looking likely. Fantastic! If it is that would make up for the racing jacket. Plus the gold matches the bat mobile wheels and has a part in shadow and a part where light it reflecting off it making it look lighter same as the bat mobile wheels.
