  1. Yeah I agree that's got to be a new one. The face has a completely different expression with the mouth and different eyes plus the pant colour. Hopefully Thor and cap will have new designs also.
  2. My last ones were a bit unreliable. On topic I'm really looking forward to these new hobbit sets (mostly for the minifigures). it is sad that there has been no erebor of smaug this wave. I suspect that the next wave of sets for there and back again will include him and erebor to end the theme with style probably a very large erebor set I could see coming. This year's choices however do not surprise me one bit. they are following the basic pattern they did last year. One well known place from the film which is lake town (bag end last year). One new location/expanded battle scene from the film (Dol Guldur sets) and finally one action sequence from the film involving new characters (elf set). I do wonder however what it may have been like if Lego had known about it being 3 movies if they had I reckon they'd have put the mirkwood spider one and the barrel one in this year's range and the unexpected journey sets would all be from that movie and they'd probably have 2 other scenes from that movie instead. From this assumption, I would guess as Lego haven't accidentally put There And Back Again sets in this wave that the next wave would have the amount of sets AUJ had, rather than the shortened wave due to the desolation sets last year. I'm planning to get the two desolation sets from last year anyway so I basically will have a full wave of scenes so I'm not fussed.
  3. Blimey that's a good price!!!! Do they sell it on pc with Elrond? I might get one if that is the case. And they don't just checked! Darn I wish I had a console!
  4. No probs! Happy to help
  5. Just thought i'd say it but the Elrond polybag is only £7.99 on amazon uk at the moment! I was under the impression it was not available with the videogame anymore and I've seen eBay prices reach ridiculous levels so this is probably quite a good deal if anyone here wants to jump on it ( and like Gollum bash it over the head with a blunt instrument til it looks dead) It does have delivery on it though. Its £7.20 plus £4 something delivery I think! Just thought I'd put that out there for all to see.
  6. To resolve the whole bottom step issue you could take a normal flat square 4 stud panel and stick it half under the step then put a smooth 2 stud across panel on top of the half sticking out. Quite simple and would probably work!
  7. True! I'm looking forward to it any way because of the figures and the scene from the movie.
  8. Apart from that however it looks reasonably accurate!! Its a bit smaller than the set but detail wise its generally good. From the layout of the set and the Lego details I can see an epic battle going on here at some point in the film. It is a large open space which makes it prime for that sort of thing!
  9. Same here. I Only got the riddles for the ring set last year so I want to do a major Lego hobbit catch up!
  10. Same here. Maybe because it is a small set and the others they have listed are larger ones? In my catalogue I got today guys in the UK it lists the sets for release 1st December and the prices are as I expected but reasonable: Dol Guldur battle £69.99, mirkwood elf army £29.99. lake town chase £49.99 so I'm guessing Dol Guldur ambush is £20 or under for what you get. I personally hope for £15 but I doubt it will be! Its annoying cause I like the figures and want to get it with Dol Guldur battle to connect it, but £20 for a door and 3 figures? Better be great big door as the shelob set was worth it for the giant shelob(much bigger than the door)! I would love for it to be only £12- £15 but that probably won't happen!
  11. excellent visual of red skull in this episode at 3:15 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES5ydKmJzcw
  12. Falcon has also just appeared in one I am watching currently. It was about the mandarin. It basically was taking the mickey out of the movie version and he shock horror wasn't an actor.
  13. This is quite interesting plus one of these shows thor wearing a helmet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qgz26GHfU8
  14. Slightly Unrelated but gives a good view into the hobbit and what is going on a bit more in depth. Watch for 2:47 where Sylvester McCoy (radagast) makes a Lego related joke. Warning this video may contain a swearing grey wizard.
  15. I agree!! How could anyone think that the penguin in a Lego set for kids would have a cigar its quite obvious he is holding the remote so I don't see how people think it is a cigar or want to use it as a cigar. The coat is clearly a fur coat as Lego has never printed ashes on a Lego figure torso before and the pattern matches the look of a fur coat! Simple as! Tell you what though it would be good to see some 2014 marvel set pictures in similar quality!
  16. I don't think the phrase has ever been used so accurately before but, close but no cigar!
  17. Yes I know that! I was just saying he had a sword because on the box art it looked like he didn't and in all the video/photos seeming to depict the movie scenes of this set he had one. So nice Lego gave him one. Not that those swords are hard to come by. I love the radagast and I think if I looked correctly radagast has a different facial expression on that page than in the set photo. A double sided face I hope? Also after seeing the new trailer on the live stream last night I can confirm that the orcs in the previous trailer are marching through the ruins of Dol Guldur. Perhaps to this fight. Footage also showed Gandalf in a cage under an eerie green lit scene with scars on his face looking sad! Take a gander:
  18. AH so those are the dungeons of Dol Guldur!!!!judging by the trailer and footage I saw tonight on the live stream that seems accurate! Looks like Gandalf has his sword in this set after all? the box art didn't show it yet we are yet to get more views of that set from Lego so only time will tell I guess. I look forward to collecting the sets and seeing the movie. I need to catch up on AUJ sets I think though!
  19. Genius yet again oky! All three gave me a good laugh.
  20. Wow finally Lego releases a proper evil base even if it isn't for superheroes! Also: LEGO MORGAN FREEMAN!!!! Got to get this set for that reason! Plus I like the look of the movie and the fact that Lego is hitting the big screen. A few months of firsts really: First Doctor Who in cinemas then Lego in cinemas! Who is next I wonder. Lord business looks crazy but very cool. Judging by the set freeman's character will go up against business! There is an epic battle coming I feel.
  21. Shame they chose two weak and feeble animated series to make sets of I mean not having Thor 2 sets I could have coped with but not getting any sets for Captain America 2 next year??! Infuriating!! Its like they have disregarded the movies or at least Disney have! Glad Disney are letting marvel do there thing with the movies and not interfering otherwise they'd probably ruin those like they do with the TV series' and the Lego sets. At least we get some interesting characters next year . That's only a small consolation though...
  22. You can see in this picture they are dark tan: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130130173947/lotr/images/1/1d/Orcs_t600.jpg the lighting in the eBay listing is quite exaggerated to how the figures look in the set images and I suspect they look identical to the set pictures in real life. They are certainly not grey in the film!
  23. I say it is probably real due to the printing and the fact the face looks exactly like the one in the game and he also has other 2014 figures in fact he has flash and batman from 2014 in one listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Super-Heroes-Brandnew-2014-Trio-Set-Man-Bat-Flash-Batman-DC-Comics-/221308228614?pt=DE_Allesf%C3%BCrdKind_Spielzeug_Lego&hash=item3386ff9406 i'd say that pretty much answers the question on whether this is real conclusively.
  24. I'd like to see some Thor the dark world sets as due to the amount of potential sets in the movie it is ludicrous Lego's march wave doesn't include sets based on that. I've seen the film and it is a crime it got no sets it surpassed iron man 3 in every way possible.
  25. Malekith would've been amazing to have as a minfigure as would Odin, sif, Jane, Heimdall, Kurse, the warrior's three, dark elves, Loki, asgardian soldiers, Eric selvig, Darcy. Such as shame they missed out on such an awesome line they could have made.
