  1. ^He has seams turned off in LDD, so I can't tell what he used. Probably a 4x4 and a pair of 2x3s with nothing connecting them. But my goodness, these projects are enthusiastic in their below-average-ness... oh, and this gem turned up in my "Similar" feed, viewing the pile of plates project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/134175 Methinks it's just an excuse to put printed tiles on the market, but come on, who would buy it? Or, for that matter, this: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/117992 poor quality aside, Brent Waller's massively superior version already got rejected! If LEGO was going to make this, they would have already. EDIT: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/148788
  2. I particularly like what you've done here with Ekimu and Lava Beast. Ekimu seems so much smoother, and the falcon post is ingenious... Lava Beast pulls off the "flaming death chicken" look much better that the official set, mostly around the lower legs. Also, I see you changed all the Shadow Traps to have friction pins... nice. I wonder why LEGO didn't do that... they're no stranger to sacrificing playability to stability. *cough*everyLEGOmechever*cough*
  3. Two exclusives? So, The Death Star and Winter Train? Or are they hiding YET ANOTHER D2C set up their sleeve?! EDIT: The Architecture sets don't come out until September? Why?
  4. I've been having trouble with flexible pieces stretching enough to connect properly. For example, the little chain thing in http://brickset.com/sets/41179-1/Queen-Dragon-s-Rescue? I can't get the soft axle to connect to both clips. It just sort of reaches an invisible limit and won't flex any more. Also, that hose piece from the LEGO Movie sets doesn't cooperate either... take the side build in http://brickset.com/sets/75872-1/Audi-R18-e-tron-Quattro. I couldn't connect the hose to both ends. Really annoying, especially the fact that these are official builds and really ought to work.
  5. So they needed to be able to accurately remake the sets digitally... Well then! City's gotten a number of new parts in the Volcano line, plus Fun in the Park... if that's the only reason LDD gets updated in the future, I say let Remake use as many new parts as we can so LDD 4.4 can come out! xD
  6. I suspect its flopping has something to do with the other movies that are out right now... Star Trek, mostly, but also Finding Dory and The Secret Life of Pets for the younger audiences. I really don't think they picked a good time to release it, and I'm not going to be seeing it anytime soon because Star Trek is currently out.
  7. I didn't even watch the video. What the hell was he thinking?! That suit is horrifying...
  8. Duel of the Fates, presumably a playset? YES! That might be the first PT set I get. I am psyched for more information... right now we have OT Stormtrooper Battle Pack, Yoda's Hut, mystery Thrawn set, and Duel of the Fates... WOO! Even if the rest of this wave is dreck, it'll still be awesome. :P
  9. Even though I should, by all rights, be excited for this... I despise the two movies Rowling and Yates worked together on. I've heard that they didn't actually cut anything out of Deathly Hallows... so the end result was oppressively grim, with the first half boring and the second half ridiculous and over-the-top without being fun in the slightest. Yeah. Entertainment should be entertaining in some way, guys. I can't truthfully say I want to watch a movie like those again, so if FB is anything like them, I'll just ignore it. On the other hand, if the concept of "monsters running amuck in 20's New York" manages to work, maybe I will give it a watch on DVD.
  10. That concept model looks really cool. I wonder what was inside of it...
  11. I would be fine with a half-sphere Death Star that looks accurate from the front... there's one problem. How would a 5000-piece LEGO model in that shape hold itself up?! I think, personally, that something that opens a la the Kwik-E-Mart is much more likely. Looks like the whole thing, stands up without additional support, and still has a fully accessible interior! The hinges might be a bit of an issue, though.
  12. I dunno about you guys, but I'm sick of black and red (and variations thereof) villains. Bring on a purple/gold Makuta! I just hope he doesn't turn out anything like Umarak the Destroyer. I really dislike that set.
  13. All right then! Please bring back a space theme...
  14. Cole is half-human, eh? That would explain his transparent arms in the Rock Roader and the green smudge on his forehead. So, wait, is Day of the Departed Season 7, or is there a full Season 7 after these two specials?
  15. @Starscream: Oh, believe me, there will be more memorable villains.
  16. I supported the Modular Construction Site, but it presently has 4,000 pieces. They would have to drastically cut down the size of the building under construction, and therefore the crane, if they wanted this to be a feasible set... parts limit is 3000 now. Also, I really hope that observatory becomes a set! I would totally buy that, even if it was rather pricey.
  17. Yep, new joints have more friction and those friction extenders help a lot. Although the Uniters having them on their ankles is really strange...
  18. Clarification: The Spider-Furno thing is basically just the constraction equivalent of the "someone's first time using LDD" models there are so much of here. Also, it's ugly, uses out-of-production parts, and doesn't seem to be able to hold its own weight with that design. I understand someone put thought into it... but that's not something that would become a set. As for the space freighter thingy... it just looks terrible, and again, I can't think of any conceivable way it could be a set. I'm sorry, I don't.
  19. Well that's... interesting. Like Angry Birds, I honestly never thought they would do this. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
  20. I went browsing through new projects, and I found something awful: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145188 Who would consider this a good set?! Or this: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/148333, maybe even this: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/148341
  21. Welp, I saw this coming. I really hope there aren't 30 sets for it this time... this movie is cash-grabby enough as it is...
  22. Interesting... very interesting... I think it looks real! Hope they don't suck as much as the last Pirates line.
  23. Why are you running it in Safe Mode in the first place?
  24. So the new show coming in 2017 is called "Star Trek: Discovery." No word on when it's set or who the captain is... except that it's going to "reflect cutting-edge progressive values." That's all the information we have. I'm not excited, especially because, AFAIK, CBS is still keeping it on their own version of Netflix that nobody has.
  25. I'd say probably Green Lantern, because he's getting his own movie alongside all the others. But I understand completely if they're saving him for the sequel, or leaving him out of the advertising because of how horrible his movie was.
