  1. Yeah, the only reason the Inn is slightly taller is the roof doesn't have two angles. I hope to order the elements I lack this week to build it during my vacation.
  2. I'd say this one is best. Its more crisp then the other two, and the colors in combination with the sail don't clash.
  3. Wow, this Medieval Blacksmith is really popular in the USA. Just sampling a couple cities I've been to in the past gives an out of stock note every time. Over here, it is quite readily available.
  4. Nice looking. Now I wonder how a cabin like this would have looked on the inside in the 18th-19th century
  5. This kind of shoulder armor is a bit exagerated compared to real-life medieval armor. But that's something you often see with Lego utilities. The left arm would normally be used for carrying a shield, which supposedly covers your left shoulder too.
  6. Funny little builld. I don't know if it was intended, but the Dachshund seems posed to go a'huntin' that rodent up ahead while the minfigs aren't aware of a thing.
  7. I see nothing but lion shields in that set...
  8. Now those are well-crafted siege works -and engines! I can't help but notice that some of the defenders are in no hurry to get to the heat of the action.
  9. Its... incredible! A nice array of different colors, lots of little jokes, and a pretty straightforward style. And I can only echo Phes' question: is it done already, or are for instance the medieval market village houses in the back a placeholder?
  10. It gives a nice, rustic feel... except for the warrior of course.
  11. Yeah. And I won't mind a bunch of extra yellow bricks one bit.
  12. You're not the only one. You should see my "King's Army". It's only 20 or so of them, but I used every blue-tinted torso with a crown on it from the Fantasy sets. Those came out when I was still in my dark age, so except for the Medieval Market soldiers they're all second-hand. It makes a nice bunch with dark grey and light-grey tinted legs, 3 types of helmets and 2 types of shields.
  13. In a sense most of the AFOL's are army builders. I bought a couple extra myself, and depending on how many sets with them (that I like) will come out in times to come I probably purchase a small number extra. Its just how much of an army one wants/need. I simply don't need hundreds of the little buggers.
  14. 3in1 sets are usually around for a year or two, certainly the bigger ones. So its safe to say the Falcon outfit will be in production (and from time to time available on B&P) for at least as long as that.
  15. It does have more of a civilian vibe then of castle, despite the two soldiers. A watermill on the left, an open tower on the right, bright-colored flags hanging from the entrance towers... gives me the feel of the entrance to a market town. Especially in combination with the yellowish houses.
  16. I thought it was a tree.
  17. Looks nice indeed. Kinda a drawback is the red-white heraldry on the gate towers, but blue flags on the flagpoles and blue Falcon soldiers. Can't see shoulder guard pieces on the soldiers, but if there were, they'd be in the way of this type of helmet. Since this looks to be a leak of the box art, I wouldn't hold my breath on revised minifigs.
  18. At first I literary couldn't get head nor tail of the design, but it definitely is impressive. The flow of its lines are very smooth, making it difficult to grasp its size.
  19. Its a beautiful update on your project. The door/window frame color of the pueblo house contrasts nicely with the walls. On the wigwam, quite a job making it stable. The rounded shape looks as good as can be achieved with Lego bricks.
  20. Marvelous effort, Sleeple. The slopes make the tower look strong enough to withstand a bombardment. And the detailing finishes it nicely.
  21. Heh, reversed roles. Nice use of those red shooter bars. They help give the cell 'door' an evenly look.
  22. Never seen such a mast with misaligned notches, but from the looks of it, it might be a good piece to connect a lateen-type sail to.
  23. Beautiful, but... argh, someone is showing off his goats again! ;-)
  24. Heh, the 'modularity' possibility for what pops out of the house after detonation is nice. For example, an arrest team instead bathtub.
  25. That's where a modular setup could come into play. On the one hand sets created with the classic view in mind (ramparts, towers, knights, prisonblock, armory, you name it...), and on the other hand the abovementioned Great Hall, Castle's Kitchen, Servants' Quarters, Stables, Lord&Lady's room(s). And to meet both ends, secret passage in and out of the castle for the Lord&Lady's offspring latest tryst interest.
