  1. I don't know why, but I really like the stairways cover.
  2. Yeah, that's the usual thing. You can check for this on the small print of the current GWP. One GWP per househould, and return the GWP if you return sets buyed with the GWP.
  3. The castle (and queen) are supposed to be for the Lions.
  4. We know. Its just so that non-official pictures or links to them aren't posted on the forum per the rules. I suggest you remove the link ASAP.
  5. It is a nice story, only too bad the last link (imgr picture) doesn't show up in my browser.
  6. We can only hope those shields are printed. For all we know those are refurbished from the "Castle in the Forest" sticker sheet.
  7. It is for both online and lego stores purchases, for a limited time period (usually a couple weeks to a month), and until they run out. For online purchase, the main factor is you put enough monetary value in your shopping bin (in sets), and once you're eligible, the GWP('s) is (are) automatically added to your shopping bin. In a physical legostore, you better ask an attendant first if the GWP('s) is (are) still in stock.
  8. Looks cozy. And definitely more organic looking.
  9. My god. That deux-chevaux, it is beautiful. The house itself looks rather monochrome, but the wall shingle detailing makes up for it. Love how you used the windows in a 90° angle, and the use of superfluous parts for a doorknob is simpy genious.
  10. Nice little scene here. The wore-down look of the roof is quite the finishing touch. Can I take it some of the equipment worn by the soldiers isn't regular lego (wide-rimmed helmets, halberd, flag spear)?
  11. Personally, I hope not. Maybe its time to change our view on the required "roominess" of castles. Especially in a set designed towards AFOL's.
  12. Without a moat, there are at least two other possible options: in the castle well, or the inevitable princess companion for a first kiss. I just hope there won't be too many sheep in the set. I recently received an order with a whole flock of 'm. Chicken, pig(lets) and cattle are always welcome.
  13. Is it for sure there's a moat included with the set?
  14. That's a nice way to use those whale bones for the trees.
  15. Heh, that's quite a cute looking piglet. Next, we need a lamb.
  16. I find it an interesting technique for the bow and stern. The sail is nice and smooth, a good improvement on how the sails were build at the 3in1 pirate ship. An interesting way to depict ravens with the black flippers and horn. All in all, I'd moc it a bit shorter, remove the cabin and dragon head-and-tail to make it look more like a knarr, a norse merchant ship.
  17. There's a reason school boarding houses exist...
  18. Haven't found this feature either at our country's site.
  19. Nonono, it's going to be a proper moat-and-bailey setup on a 48x48 raised baseplate with a viking raiding party! One can dream, right?
  20. That looks like a well-designed catapult there, good Sir! I especially like the way you build the wheels, and the throwing mechanism. Maybe the 'spoon' at the end of the throwing arm is a tad small compared to the size of the catapult? I feel a bigger dish might be better.
  21. And yet another data point finished. The above is a good suggestion. It saves time on sending the results of the survey to all.
  22. Oh wow. The jibs and gaffel sails are top notch. Beautifully done!
  23. Looks like you're off pretty cheap by bricklinking the set. Good for you. I was in luck that due to the ordering mishap I didn't have to pay €10 extra because of the region I live in.
  24. Its quite, to say the least. Good job on the colors used.
  25. It's not a hair-winged helmet combination I've ever seen. Looks to be a new mould at first glance. Of the ship itself, the sail is way better then the method used for the 3-in-1 pirate vessel of two years ago. OTOH, not too convinced from what I can glean of the head -and tail of the ship itself. Looks too massive. But perhaps I'm spoiled by JonasKramm's Lego Viking Longship.
