Oh, I definitely like that statue! And the * form is something to be proud of too.

I haven't mentioned yet, but thanks for advising us for the availability of the torso's and horses. :)

Now all we need is a new animal mould with articulated arms, capable of holding a magic wand.

Things really sell out quick. It looks as if you took the last of the.. ahem... pants. Thing is, I checked my list on B&P barely 9 hours ago, and none of the items was available then. Now the wait is for more Falcon shields (and legs) to become available again.

What exactly constitutes a "real" Castle theme?
GeoBrick replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Missed them a second time then. :( -
Definitely a house to be liked. With just a hint of greebling, the use of wood bricks on the door side, and the kind-of decal above the door its a lust for the eye. Kinda looks like the large curved window on the side is meant as a religious extension to the house, but perhaps its meant to imply an elvish style? At least, the female minifig seems to have big ears. One question, any reason why the overhang of the roof on the door side is two studs large, and the curved window side only one?

Well, you have blacksmiths, and you have blacksmiths. I consider the Medieval Village blacksmith to be a down to earth blacksmith, taking care of cattle's hoof, and other iron utensils for daily use in a village or town setting. The blacksmith of the Ideas platform looks more like an armourer to me. Which is why he has such a nice house. There's money to be made for a good armourer.

Can't wait to see how you'll handle the roof! And did the Blacksmith's Lady Knight wandered off somewhere? ;)

Heh, that's funny.

Seeing the minifig choices Lego has made for the Medieval Blacksmith set, they indeed seem to take the safer route. I wouldn't be opposed to see more Falcon Knight minifigs in a rumoured 3-in-1 set though.

A good background choice for the walls. But what I like the most on this build is the furniture (especially both types of stools) and the teatime/dinner nook at the window.

That's no machine! It is art.

A nice scene. Not too overcrowded with greenery, but nonetheless busy enough to let the eye search for the little scenes. Appearantly its a rather rich farmer if he could afford a stone house, whatever his (and her) facial expression is. ;) Could you please show a pic of the little tower on the left of the build? I can't make out if its a well with a high-pointed roof, a sort of small belltower, or something else entirely.

Even way before them. IIRC, the Phoenicians of the city of Tyre traded this dye across the Mediterranean Sea before even the Greek founded colonies westwards.

Things sell out quickly. Only the legs were still available. :(

I've had a number of missing pieces until roughly a year ago. Since then, I haven't had to apply to Lego for new ones.

Its gorgeous, Paul Corbak. A beautiful example of a medieval French city. It's almost impossible to discover all the techniques you used here to create such an effect. The scene with the wheeled beggar strikes me the most here.
-
If I were you, I'd report it through the missing/broken parts section of Lego.com. I had a big dented plate on the bricksquare modular, and Lego sent me a replacement plate with no hassle.
-
Oh man, that last one is hilarious!

A modular build up your castle theme... yes, one can dream. :) And, like with the Ninjago city sets, the outer edge could be made as water tiles too, representing the moat.
-
To be frank, for me it is not an issue. I posted the pic as a jest, not a complain. Good to see the mixing of old(er) falcon minifig parts with the new(est) ones fit reasonably well. I like to create a bit of variation within a 'faction'.

A re-creation to be proud of. It comes pretty close to the real world mill. And the landscaping is superb. I especially like how you managed the corner slopes of the mill's base. Are the blades turnable?
