LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
GeoBrick replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, its certainly no widespread urban legend in my country. But then again, the word "black" doesn't come into the word in my language. ;) -
I just wondered; the marking colors of the Blacktron faction are infact the same as the Classic Space "Federation" vessel LL928, only with triangles instead of stripes. Who knows, Blacktron might just be the (para)military arm of said Federation, and trying to inspect civilian vessels and installations... That said, nice solution for a tile-based Blacktron marking.

It requires for sure extra pieces, at the least the blue reversed slopes. I modded the end of 10497 bit myself with a sloped end just below the tails besides the reverse slopes at the bottom, and was lucky enough to have the necessary pieces from the Emmett's Dream House set (70831).

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I seem to remember someone posted pictures of the XL-15 converted to Classic Space colors. -
Black Tron, meets Star Wars. Neat design. Marvelous use of those big tires as a setup for the engines. I'm curious though. I see what looks like a toilet in the cell. But what I'm not sure of is if the cell can be opened in another way then to disable the red 'beams of death'.

That's my impression as well. I can't see the typical edges of a sticker on the slope. -

I'm almost disappointed the Blacktron pilot comes with airbottles... It would've given him a profound reason to chase the 10497 LL928 to the end of the Universe and beyond. Love the new sloped controls that come with the ship, especially with its target display on it. Anyone else thinks the sticker on the slope of the engine section should be placed upside-down? And still no good look at the back of the engine section. I like to know if this time there's a better resemblance of an engine exhaust then a mere cylinder. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
GeoBrick replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the comparison pictures, SirBlake. I kinda curious to see how the new Falconer legs fit with the mainstream Falcon torso. Depending on how many I can get my hands on, I'll likely use the Falconer torso for the commander/lordship of a troop of Falcon soldiers. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

On some of the pics the tail is indeed a little bit angled. Maybe just an artifact of the camera? Otherwise, the tail might just be attached by a clip. I don't have the impression the engine part is big enough to hide a turning mechanism on three directions. -
If Reds are shuttle pilots, maybe Pinks can be starship pilots... I'm having our CMF6 Intergalactic Girl in mind here. She has a pink suit too.

Wow. That's no ship. It's a cathedral! A most impressive structure on the stern. On the technical side, I'm most impressed with your choice of element for the masts. Kind of curious what you used inside them to keep them from falling over.

Funny, I can spy more of the details of your MOC with the pics here then in person at Bricks&More a couple weeks ago, Barthezz Brick. The view in the dark of your display was beyond words though.

Three different Falcon torsos in the pipeline now. This is getting almost as good as the Crown soldiers of the Fantasy Era. -

Since the latest wave of CMF figures have seen some parts used in sets too this year, I wonder if the orc hints at what the rumored LOTR will contain. I just checked the Promobricks site, and they have a pic showing all the new CMF minifigs. -
Its gorgeous. Can't find a single straight/rectangular element on the build.

Marvelous scene... But my favourite is the composite bow.
-
"Ouch!" Grannie says "No cushion?" Nice vehicle, SERVATOR.
-
Beautifully done, Kloou. You captured the essence of a deluge quite well, and making it comicalliy with the used minifigs takes off the bite of it.
-
Nice techniques used in this beautiful model. I haven't seen it commented yet (and AFAIK haven't seen this design as well), but extra's kuddo's for the anchor.
-
Beautifully done. I think the com array is my favorite in your moc. At least, if the dish with the yellow 2x1 grated slopes is the array. Perhaps it is the defense turret?

Sober, but still complicated enough. Btw, I only see two elevator outlines? Or is the bay's entry hatch behind the Explorer the third one? And now you've given me a reason to build the Exosuit again.

Ye be thanked, Sir.
