LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the news! Do you think that the UCS Jango Fett's Slave I is in scale with the 75333? If there wasn't the long rumored UT-AT, I'd be very disappointed. -
According to a common source: 60473 The City Tower (D2C) - June release Since there won't be any civilian set (which is really disappointing) in this year's regular summer wave, this is really good news! 👍 Since it's "still only" inside the City (and not the Icons) theme, I wouldn't await too much: Maybe two shops on the first floor, a doctor's office and a regular office on the second floor, apartments on the third and fourth floor and a TV news studio on the fifth floor? And the base being 16x32 studs including sidewalk and a small park? And there could be around ten minifigs? What do you think?

I definately agree. Yes, I'm counting on a snowplow, too. Thanks for the news! An Arctic train sounds great - it's something fresh which we haven't had before. I hope it'll be a mixture of cargo train and passenger train containing an engine with snowplow, a passenger waggon, a container waggon with Arctic explorer stuff and a flatbed waggon with an Arctic explorer vehicle. What do you wish and think it'll include? If done well, it would for sure fit very well in the Winter Village, too.
-
Yes, they're bandits. But originally the Wolfpack had their own tower with bridge. So why shouldn't they get something similar now, too?
-
As addition, I could very well see some sort of "one theme in one set" set like they did with the harbor this year: Airport: medium sized passenger plane (only six studs wide), freight helicopter, forklift, transport vehicle, mobile stairs, tower, airport building Plus with the Scrapyard, Lego maybe shows us that they could release more specialized sets in the future, too. So there could also be some more random things like a garage (for parking cars), a car factory, a chocolate factory, a building-up a solar power plant etc., don't you think?
-
Thanks for the news! A new castle sounds great! 👍 I guess we'll see a new faction or it will be the castle of the Wolfpack. I personally can't imagine it to be Lion Knights or Black Falcons based. And the haunted house could be interesting, too. Do you think it could be fairground based (so with a cashpoint)?

As much a I would like new and more different and more seperate sold Trains sets, I fear that this won't happen (already) in 2025. Since these wild animal based sets have been selling very well, I bet that we'll see one more wild animal theme in summer - either outback, savannah or mountain/forest. Additionally I count on some nice new locations and buildings based on shopping, living, sports and recreation (like in summer 2023): some shops, a gym, a public swimming pool and a camping site, maybe?

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
This year's (bad) Winter Village set was revealed firstly about one week before its release. So I fear that Lego will hold this trend with future exclusive (especially unlicensed) sets, too. So I guess the reveal of the Renegade will be around Christmas and sadly not much earlier. -
I fear that you are right. But ... 1. If Lego already had gotten up after one try in the past, the company wouldn't exist these days anymore. They know now that retro sets with elements of nostalgic sets of the past (Lion Knights' Castle, Medieval Town Square) work most of the time better that a more or less replicia of the original set. So if they e. g. made a re-design of the Caribbean Clipper, but in the size of the Imperial Flagship, I bet that this set would sell very well. 2. The Endurance is not System scale and is only for displaying (in a showcase). Of course you can do this with a System scale Pirates theme based ship, too, and for sure some people would do. But the target audience here would mainly be people who then would use the ship for putting it into a Pirates layout or giving it to their kids for playing. So no, I don't think that (the sales numbers of) The Endurance will take influence on a Pirates theme based System scale ship. Yes, I agree.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Klaus-Dieter replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the news! Even when it will be "only" a Creator 3 in 1 set, a new Castle set for 2025 sounds great! Due to the massive inflation over the passt years, I fear that the size and number of bricks and minifigs won't be much more than in the previous Creator 3 in 1 castle. Which concerns the minifigure collection: Since it seems very likely that we'll see a tournament as Icons set in 2026, I could well imagine that Lego includes already (one of) the there included new faction(s) in this new Castle. Anyway, I don't think that the Creator 3 in 1 set will be Black Falcons or Lion Knights based, since Lego wants AFOLs to buy it, too (even if it primary will be JFOLs oriented). -
With Michael Bully Herbig's movie "Das Kanu des Manitu" ("Manitou's Canoe") is going to be shown in cinemas in summer next year, summer 2025 would be the perfect time to release some unlicensed (retro) Western sets. If Lego wanted to - but I fear that they don't want to.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the news! It's weird that we'll get an ARC in System scale, but the Plo Koon's Starfighter then will be a Microfighter. These days LSW most of the time is no longer fun for me (and I imagine for other AFOLs and for kids, too): You only get standalone (display) models, but the counterparts to play well with are missing. And since years there are no bigger decent locations to create with all together a nice and appealing layout. Very disappointing. -
Thanks for the news! I would highly welcome a new, unlicensed Pirates set next year! Like @Roebuck said, that the Imperials torsos will be removed from PaB doesn't say anything - they might appear there next year again. Plus have you thought about Lego could also release an exclusive, big Pirates set neither been based on Bluecoats or Redcoats, but on the Armada?
-
Thanks for the news! 🙂 The Junkyard and the Offroad Car look amazing, are something completely new and are consequently definately on my buying list! If the Ambulance had a detailed interior and place for a second paramedic (but I feat that it won't), then it would be interesting, too. And the Red Sports Car looks solid, too. In the Modular Spaceship I'm not interested since it's imo neither Space Port (City) nor Space (non-City). The Camper and the Lifeguard Car are with their eight studs bright much too massive and their fronts lack details (such as numbers for the cars). So I'll pass them, too. But which I really like in these two sets ist the comeback of the car roof windows - I hope that we'll see them in more sets in the near future.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I was not born yet til was only a small child when Classic Space, Blacktron and all these excellent classical Space themes were released. So I didn't get any of these sets. Nevertheless, when looking at pictures of these old sets plus looking at the new Galaxy Explorer and the Blacktron Cruiser, I kike them much more than the most Space sets after the late ninetees and much, much more than all these City Space ("Port") sets. Thanks for the news! 🙂 Although I would have prefered a space base over a vehicle, it is great news that we'll get a new retro Space set! 👍 It theoretically might be that the leaker only judged the different minifigures by the work they're doing in e. g. the box art (e. g. two minifigures are on the vehicle and two stand on the ground, repairing the "car"). But I think that it's more supposably that we indeed will get a new torso. Hopefully the two pilots have exactly the same torso like the one in the Blacktron Cruiser - otherwise this would be a huge disappointment. For the mechanics maybe they have the Blacktron sign on their torso? Very hard to guess. Anyway it's great that there'll be four and not only two minifigs in this set. 👍 -
I completely agree. Therefore imo summer last year was a great wave since it included a lot of locations and buildings located inside a city. I hope that the same will happen in summer 2025 - since things like a public swimming pool, a gym, a skate shop, a sushi bar, a new toy shop and a decent school are overdue.
-
I guess the plane will use the same nose piece like the two previous City planes.
-
Yes, a new airport fire truck is since long overdue, too. I could well imagine TLG releasing a new airport in 2025 or 2026 being built similar to this year's harbor: a tower, a small aiport building with terminal and lounge, a medium scale (meaning only 6 studs wide) passender airplane, a cargo helicopter, a forklift and a cargo transport vehicle. And then I wouldn't be surprised if they released a seperate sold airport fire truck at about the same time.

@Yperio_Bricks 1.: I mainly didn't wrote about MOCs / moccing but about sets you can or can not buy. And I remember very well that when I was a teen, after having built up some Star Wars sets, I sat in front of them, replayed the scenes of the movies with them. But shortly after that I was bored. Then I took some of the (unlicensed) Western sets and had hours of creative fun with them. 2.: SW MOCs are limited in style, too. I think you wouldn't count a pink, round vehicle as a vehicle for the Imperials. 3.: Of course you can create anything out of your imagination. But as long as it's not seen in official SW movies / books / ..., it's strictly seen not Star Wars but Space. But back on topic: The Endurance is of course a nice display model (for those who have the money and place for it). But that it would be interesting for (us) Pirates fans, I would have liked to get an updated Caribbean Clipper (to go with the new Eldorado Fortress) instead. 😢

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Klaus-Dieter replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It seems as I had overread this in the instructions - thanks for the hint! 🙂 Supposably you're right. But a new Yellow Castle does not necessarily have to be yellow, only it would need to have references to this old set. It could e. g. be tan (like a castle in the desert) and contain the factions which we've seen in the original one. These would be indeed a great choice. But I also would like a faction from the dining room in the Lion Knights' Castle of which we haven't gotten any (updated) torsos yet. Which I guess is nearly safe to say is that the set will include Lion knights and Black Falcon knights. Btw: If Lego released another retro Castle GWPs this year or in the next years, I bet for redesings of 6038 Wolfpack Renegades, 6040 Blacksmith Shop and / or 6041 Armor Shop (because these would be about the size of last year's Castle promo plus would not necessarily need any new torsos / minifigures and these would go very well with the LKC and the MTS). What do you think? -
Here's a completely new idea: Art Shop Break-In (40-50 Euros) a colonial style white colored building with big windows and flowers in front, with art shop on the first floor (cashpoint, physical art pieces on stands and paintings on the wall, one windows with break-in function), living room in the second floor (couch, couch table with small lamp, TV and cupboard) and art studio in the attic (= third floor) vehicles: an ATV for the robber and a Smart like small police car minifigs: robber, police officer, shop owner and painter What do you think?

What is your favorite Space set? (One only!)
Klaus-Dieter replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That's an interesting topic! 👍 Although I sadly don't own this set, my favourite Space set would be 6987 Message Intercept Base because it's the biggest and imo best looking Space base Lego had released so far. I really, really hope that Lego will give us a redesigned version of this excellent set in the near future. -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Klaus-Dieter replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Castle in City, as much as I'd like this, I doubt that this will happen. The only thing I could imagine would be some sort of Forest Exploration subtheme with some castle ruins. I guess that in the next years we'll get an exclusive retro Castle set every two years: - 2022: Lion Knights' Castle - 2024: Medieval Town Square - 2026: ??? Knights' Tournament / Black Knights' Castle / Wolfpack Castle - 2028: ??? Medieval Town Center (addition to MTS with missing buildings like bakery, town hall, trader's store, blacksmith, ...) - 2030: ??? Knights' Tournament / Black Knights' Castle / Wolfpack Castle - 2032: ??? giant (yellow) Castle (100 years of Lego) Plus there might of coursd be a GWP at least every second year. -
Thanks for the news! 🙂 I guess that HLC Apartments And Stores will be similar to the shopping street Lego released back in beginning of 2022 - this time hopefully with more realistic colors (and not that massive pink and violet colors). And I could well imagine there being included some sort of fastfood vendor, a beauty shop and a clothing store. What do you think? Plus I wish that the other new downtown buildings will be minimum two floors big, too, and could be connected to the HLC Apartments And Stores, so you could create a whole big street. The Beekeeper's House And Garden sounds promising, too. Let's hope that the new botanical parts from that Botanical Garden Ideas Set being there included, too.
