According to the Brickset data base, the smoothie stand is cancelled, but there'll be five more sets: 41319 Hot Cocao Van (from the Snow Resort subtheme) 41328 ? 41329 ? 41330 ? 30402 Ski Practise (polybag)

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you all very much for the information! (As a in principle non-Ninjago-fan) I'm not interested in all those battle machines and creatures. But the two civilians in the only set, of which we've seen a complete picture of, look good (the male has a 2x2 brick sign on his torso). And a fish in a new color - in this case light blue - is always welcome, too. But the most curious I'm about that market stand, the grey temple and mainly the huge Exclusive. I hope that they all will either be City or Castle compatible. Btw: Do you think that in the rumored Ninjago City set the main focus will be on buildings with a detailed exterior, open backwalls and a decent interior, too? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 18 Rumors and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you all vey much for this information! I'm a huge fan of these custome minifigs. And I'm a huge CMF fan in general. Having one or two custome minifigs per series is really great and these are next to the historic minifigs and the City compatible minifigs the ones I'm always the most looking forward to. But a whole series of only custome minifigs is some sort of sale of these minifigs. I wish TLG went back to its CMF roots when there were two regular, unlicensed and unthemed series a year! -
I would be highly surprised if there was no Winter Village set. I bet for either a train station (which would be the most logical after last year's Holiday Train) or a candy shop. And which concerns the Fair theme: It was rumored that there'll be a carousel this year (since unluckily the Creator Fair theme took a break last year because of the release of the Friends Fun Park theme). The release date for this one should be mid May (like the two previous ones) - but info and pictures on these show up only very shortly before release. So I fear that we've to wait minimum one month before we know.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for these pictures, Robert8! In the second picture you can clearly see that the mysterious character is one from the Pirates theme - either a pirate or an officer for the Imperials. (He holds two Pirates pistols and has one of these three-sides-hat on his head.) I personally think that there is more than one in each box and that it's always the same character (so no differences in color or even design). That only the shilouette is shown on the box is imo only a merchandise trick to get people more exciting and more wanting this character and minifigs of this series at all. Well, let's see if I'm right ...- 1,421 replies

According to Brickset: 30355 Jungle ATV 40256 Create The World (Is this a creationist promo set?! ) Thank you very much for the link, Lego_Talk! Btw: So "Fun at the icy cold beach" will be available already in June, too?
-
According to Brickset: 30208 Smoothie Stand (polybag) 41320 Frozen Yoghurt Shop I personally would have preferred an ice-cream parlor over a frozen yoghurt shop. Nevertheless it for sure will be a great set, I think. Do you bet that it'll be part of the beach subtheme, too? Or do you more think of an urban set? It's excluded that it'll belong to the winter sports subtheme, isn't it? I bet that it'll look very similar to the Juice Bar from 2014. Btw: When I look at all listes Friends sets for this year, 41319 and 41324 are missing. So there are maybe two more Exclusives of which one might be the playground eanair reported? Thank you very much for this information, eanair! If this was more or less the final set, then it for sure will be a pass for me - much, much too girlish-like.

I'd like a Grand Restaurant: - 16x32, exterior looking similar to the Grand Hotel, but in tan and with thicker columns - first floor: entrance with red carpet, reception in the middle and on both sides round stairs to upstairs - second floor: huge buffet with many different food parts, two tables with chairs to sit at and eat - third floor: kitchen with typical big kitchen interior and small cold storage room - possible addition: food delivery truck / van What do you think? Btw: I bet that with more and more animals being released in the Friends theme and since there are already many different, it's only a question of time til we'll get a Circus theme.

Thank you very much for the links, wooster and Capparezza! I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed about the interior of the buildings: The Modern House has only a very small couch and a stair (plus a screen on the wall) downstairs. Instead of that stupid dog, I'd have prefered to get a table inside. That there's no room in the attic of the Family Home is really a shame (no more pics would have been needed if TLG kept one side open). Plus having the bed room and the living room without wall between them isn't nice, too. Last there are missing two stairs downstairs next to the dining table. Nevertheless there is some interior. And the exterior still stays hillarious! Btw: Can someone detect from the pics which the first building alternative of the Family Home is (the second one is some kind of villa)? Is it something similar to the Grand Hotel?
-
According to the CG EXclusive: It's very likely that the small sailing boat shown at the Legoworld layout will be included. But did anyone detect which CG stuff will come with it? I mean: That helicopter above looks exactly like the one from tthe CG Heavy Rescue Helicopter set and it's absolutely unrealistic that there'll be one heli in two sets, isn't it?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the news! I'm really surprised about this series was already shown at NY Toy Fair - a very nice touch by TLG! And I have to say that this series is imo one of the best CMF series ever! I dislike the dwarf and would have prefered the medieval maiden to come not with an elf hair piecem but a regular one. But apart from that these are awesome minifigures with great accessory!- 1,421 replies

Thank you all very much for the news! For me the ski lift stays a bad set. The 4x4 is ok, but not really stunning. In contrast, all other regular Friends sets for summer are awesome: The ski hut has a very detailed interior. It's a pity that there are missing the sidewalls in the back. But apart from that it is a very nice set. I must cancel my previous opinion about a hospital in the Friends theme - it namely couldn't have been done better in the City theme: Ok, the dark pink elements disturb, but luckily there are only very few of them. And the heli looks ugly. Apart from these, the exterior as well as interior are very realistic looking and include many details! My opinion about the ice rink changed, too. It is of course too small, but the side structures are a nice addition so that the set as whole looks really good. The surf shop is a beauty! I really like it how much details TLG put in it! The beach lounge and the catamaran do look excellent, too! Btw: I'm curious about which set we'll get as an Exclusive. An ice cream parlor (in addition to the beach sets) or a winter sports shop (in addition to the winter sports theme) would be really cool. Since we already get the hospital as a huge building: Do you, too, think that the Friends Exclusive will be a smaller building?
-
Since this set seems to be the biggest one from the JE subtheme, I bet that there will be a crocodile and a panther or jaguar included. If I remember correctly, pics of the City and Friends Exclusives show up very late - about one month before their release. So I'd guess we'll get official pics in May. (But take into consideration that there aren't yet many official pics of this year's summer sets whereas there were last year - so the date of pics showing up might even be later.)

I completey agree with you, Legoman123! At about 0:33 in the following video you can clearly detect a big tan statue with a small cave next to it, a golden tumbler as treasure on its top and on the right a river with a small some sort of rope bridge above. So the Jungle Explorer Exclusive supposably will include: - huge double rotor helicopter - 4x4 - cargo boat - watchtower - ancient statue with cave and part of river with rope bridge above Suppoably this is the best, but even the most expensive, set of the whole line! I completely agree with you, makoy! I was really looking forward to the FATB set. But now that we've got detailed pics, I have to say that the result is really disappointing! The Jungle Exploration sets are - apart from the missing HQ and a missing huge temple and that the big vehicles are for my taste too huge - amazing!
-
Thank you very much for the pics, bitbamboo! It's really a pity that there is no public open air swimming pool! But: These new houses are hillarious and I like TLG for releasing these sets which are compatible with the regular Lego City houses because they have no backwalls and are nevertheless very detailed, have a nice interior and are very realistic looking! The most of the three buildings I like the modern house - simply amazing! Keep on that great work, TG, and offer us many more of these buildings in the next years, too! Since this simmer we then have enough houses to live, I hope that 2018 will bring us some great shop buildings! An office would be amazing!

Thank you very much for the info, Cwetqo, and for the pics, Nequmodiva! I'm completely disappointed by the outcome of Fun At The Beach. At least we're getting two new kid's pants and three new trunks (blue, red and green) and there seem to be some nice new torsos. But there are only very few minifigs wearing swimwear, a small sand shovel and a sun cream tube are missing, the volleyball net should have consisted of cloth, the lifebelt should be yellow (Do they throw Advent wreaths?!), the "watchtower" has no ladder upstairs and there is only one sunlounger. The ice cream stand is pure irony - it absolutely can't be defined as such! In contrast to that there is some stuff which imo is really out of place for a beach scene: the kayak, the deep sea explorer diver, the dog, the dustman and the man hunting for gold. It seems as if TLG saw that the FATP sells very well and so in a very short time wanted to design a new set with many limits. The Coast Guard sets are quite ok. Nothing stunning here and many stuff looks very similar to the last time we got it. I'm a bit disappointed about the CG HQ not including a garage with roller gates and a car with a small boat. But hey - at least we finally get a HQ! The heli in this set is ugly, but TLG bothered to design a more fitting heliport. The civilian boat looks really decent. From the outside the CG ship looks really well design. I like it that there isn't a heliport on its deck. The appliance with crane for the dinghy is cool. Whether I buy this set will depend on how decent the ship's interior will be. The Starter Set looks nice - especially the car. I don't care about the heli since I hoped that TLG will offer us a bigger one in a completely new design (somthing more military-like looking with two cockpits). About the seaplane I don't care, too. Only that the small rescue raft looks really cool. But the 4x4 looks brilliant and the trailer with the boat looks decent, too - I consider to buy this set. I like it that TLG included big buoys in the HQ and the 4x4! And the red signal flares are fun. I really like the Freight Terminal. Like already mentioned a time ago, I miss a depot building very much! But everything other is perfect: The truck with trailer, the container stacker and the forklift look brilliant, the high rack does its justice, there is some nice cargo and the gate simply stunning and a perfect addition! The Bus Station is a real beauty! Of course (like nearly always) there are some minor things to critizise - such as that the grandpa should have been replaced by a more common man (like the father from the FATP set), the bus sign should have been replaced by a screen showing the next busses stopping by, TLG should use new colors for the bikes since red and azure are used really much too often, and the newsstand should be minimum four studs deep. But otherwise it's perfect: We get a small newsstand which adds a nice and realistic atmosphere, the bus stop itself looks decent and the bus really cool - the double door for the wheelchair to get inside is a nice, new thing. Honestly, the most excited I'm about the Jungle Exploration theme which is imo done very well! TLG learned from last year when we got in the Vulcanoe Exploration theme cool vehicles, but nearly no scenery which disturbed very much. But now the Jungle Exploration theme has some scenery in every set - even in the smallest one! And this scenery was designed with much love. I don't like the two huge, blocky vehicles which will again include nearly no interior, I fear! And I miss a tent (for the explorians to sleep) and a cage (where to lock the panther / leopard). But the small boat in the Starter Set is really cool! The helicrane couldn't have been done better for its size. And the quad included, too. The halftrack vehicle isn't my taste, but the small vehicle included and the little location are nice and the panther is very cool. I could have lived without the small heli in the Research Location, but the ruin, the crashed plane and the some sort of amphibian vehicle are all well designed. The kayak is beautiful and the leopard ingenious. Ingenious is even the waterfall in the Mobile Laboratory. That the croco can come out of it is funny. I like it that they added the meat eating plant in this and in the flagship set. For sure I'll buy every of these sets! I, too, am really hoping for a new city square / main street / etc. with minimum two buildings. Since only one civilian building this year - which is btw in the Police theme - would be really disappointing. But I could well imagine that there won't be such a set. Remember 2018 is the 60th anniversary of Town? So TLG for sure keeps something big and mainly civilian oriented for then. And consequently it might even be that there won't be another civilian set in 2017 because they think that it then could compete against it. I personally bet that the still undefined set will be a JE Exclusive since its set number is exactly between the biggest JE set and the smallest CG set.
-
I hope blue, too! Yellow or green would be fine, too. But white and red are some sort of already overused. Btw: In principle we really can't complain about TLG regarding the release of train sets. Except for 2012, from 2010 til 2016 there has been minimum one train set every year.
-
On the one hand there is absolutely no sign yet that there'll be any Train set this year. Plus the WV Train late last year makes it more unsuppoably. At least a Creator train this year sounds unbelievable to me. On the other hand there is still one City set left on the sets list which will be an Exclusive and which isn't already attached to a subtheme of City. I personally bet that it'll be a Jungle Explorer Exclusive. But who knows? Maybe it turns out to be a train set. An elevated train is since very long overdue and a new track repair train would be welcome, too. In the past years the City Exclusives have been shown at Legoworld Denmark. So it's supposably that this year it'll be the same case. Consequently in about one month we should know which two City Exclusives we'll get and even whether the one unattached of them will be a train set or not.

Why Tuesday? The Nuremberg Toy Fair starts this Wednesday. Plus legomilk mentioned some time ago that supposably the first pics will surface on the first of February. So it's still maximum two days to wait, I think (and hope).
-
Ah, now I firstly see it! Yes, it is - you are indeed right! At least I can't imagine how they could attach the propeller to the cockpit otherwise. Will it probably be used in the CG Rescue Seaplane?
-
Thanks for clarifying, just2good! Looking at the prelim pic of the the biggest JE set, I must say that it's much better than the Vulcano Base - namely because it includes a decent location. That the vehicles are too big was to await. But the small canoe looks great. And a panther is very welcome, too. All in all I'm really looking forward to this theme and I'm curious to see pics of the (other and final) sets.

Thank you very much for the info post, K_Tiger! I'm sceptical, too. On the one hand these descriptions sound like a fake since the Sports theme was said to be fake and there aren't til now any set lists for this theme anywhere, another animal mould for the City theme (a gorilla) is very unlikely, the author doesn't mention the crocodiles you had seen and that a tribal warrior attacks the explorers sounds very unlikely, too. Plus an Exclusive shown at London Toy Fair?! On the other hand maybe someone wrote tiger but meant leopard, he might have overlooked the crocodiles and that the explorers hunt for gold sounds realistic. Plus when looking at the prelim pic at reddit there's a red, ancient looking canoe. It's possible that a tribal warrior sits inside. And so it would even be possible that there are tribal warriors in other sets, too - and then it would even be logical that they want to defend their treasure. Besides, the Sports 2017 topic hasn't been closed by one of our admins til now - a sign that the Sports theme is still correct? When Nuremberg Toy Fair starts, we should know.

Thank you vey much for the pic, LegoLeroy! I'm absolutely no Halloween fan, but do have to admit that this Halloween set looks very well designed! But I don't know if I'll buy it or not. The only thing I'm surprised about and even a bit disappointed is that there for sure won't be any summer and Thanksgiving sets. Because since they are located in the year before Halloween, TLG would for sure even release them before and even have the pics of them earlier on the instructions of the Easter set etc.

Judging from the prelims: In contrast to the majority of you I'm completely disappointed by the outcome of the Fun At The Beach set. I really, really hope that this pic is very prelim and that TLG changed a lot til the final set! The things which disturb me the most are the absence of the baby minifig, that the ice cream stand is much too small and seems to be a soft ice selling cart, that there are only two kids and that only two persons wear trunks. If this was really final, then this set would imo be really unattractive since the biggest reason to get multiples of this set are excellent, beachwear wearing minifigs! The bus station itself looks good. And the bus, too. I only hope that the final version will have a roof. In principle the newsstand is a neat addition. But its depth is much too small; it should at least be 3 studs (inside) deep. But all in all a nice set and finally a new bus with station! I like and dislike the Cargo Terminal set at the same time - but more like than dislike. The vehicles are really decent looking. And the gate house with the barrier is a brilliant addition! The big shelters are nice, too. But which I really, really miss is the acutal depot building - where is it?! Nevertheless all in all a cool set. Yes, he definately holds one. From what I remember the planned merry-go-round was displaced for later than 2016 - suppoably because of the release of the Friends Amusement Park sets. And several members here who know better than I stated that it will indeed be released. So I bet - and hope! - that it'll be relased this year. Only this would make sense. One year break is bad anway. But if TLG did desplace it into 2018, some people would persumable loose the interest into the Creator Fairground sets.
