Decide what scale you want to build this at. If you don't want to go Full-Modula-Mode, you should decide what details of the building are most important to its look. Focus on those details. I have kept photos of what I'm replicating on hand for reference. If you're going very "hard-core," get measurements of the building and make sure the scale is right. I would continue to look around at the wonderful MOCs the users here post. Looks like you're off to a good start!

The rower looks so bored. "I can't wait until the weekend." Great set up!

So, is it Ninja Go or Nin Jago?
iammac replied to Andy D's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the info Aanchir. The other one I remember being confused about was Chima. "Chime-a" or "Chee-ma?" Oh well, some times I mispronounce it purposefully just for spite. -
It's for people like you that I joined after reading this site for several years!

[MOC] Melty McMeltface and Smashy McSmashface
iammac replied to Funky Koval's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Smashy McSmashface. Need I say more? -
"As the romance of the night flickered from a small ember into a robust flame, neither the slightly unattractive man's redeeming fedora nor the charming girl knew what dogged corruption was blossoming below them...Meanwhile, on the roof, BRICK FEVER!" A nice MOC.

Nice! I have to say that the helicopter is the hardest vehicle of all to make in Lego. You've done a nice job here!

Oh my. Never before have I more wished I could shrink to the size of a minifigure just to experience this plaza. May I suggest an ice cream vendor? Amazing work!

Wow! This is a beauty! She looks mighty yar! I like how you put stripes on the deck. Nice touch. Can I ask who gets to eventually keep this wonderful ship?

Littleworlds: I like how you used technic to hang those lights perfectly! I agree a few colors could liven up this number! Exetrius: This was the funniest thing I've seen all day!

Hey, neat design. I like that old school figure btw.

Wow, your attention to the little details really sells this moc. I like it!

Undoubtedly your cars are an appropriate scale for reality. I like the advanced techniques throughout. I guess they just look a little too real to sit beside the modular buildings. I feel like tossing out the idea of minifig compatibility would enable these to catch a more cohesive look. Excellent exhibition of advanced skills though, I like them a lot!

I would strongly recommend you have a look in the Train Tech theme here on EB.

[MOC] USS Poseidon - Minifig Scale First Rate Ship of the Line
iammac replied to shiplover's topic in Pirate MOCs
Looks amazing yet again! Can I ask what the super glue is for? -
Looks great SpaceMonkey. I think the essence of the car is there, regardless of accuracy of minute details... Do you plan to make any other kinds of cars at this scale, say, a Chevrolet Impala circa 1967?
