Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, thanks for the images! Utterly love the Bridge set and even love the Ghost Rider set, both are wonderful for the City fan in me. Might be ones for the Christmas list for sure! That "PP + GS" graffiti under the bridge, though! Someone very, very evil works at the LEGO stickering department, confirmed. -
[CONTEST] An a-Maze-ing contest!
AnnaBuildsLego replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting! I don't have the Maze set, but I might make my own game board, it sounds like a really fun thing to do! I'm terrible at MOCing, but I think I'll have a go purely for fun! Good luck everyone! -
LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series (2017) Rumors and Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Team Starkid CMFs confirmed! Truly a terrifying villain... -
The only solution: Amass an army of penguins to take on Batman in an attempt to get revenge for that movie. (Granted, I've never seen Batman Returns, I'm just assuming you dislike it based on your comment). It strikes me as odd that we're getting a Penguin Suit Guy and an actual System penguin with a different figure. Is that true? Seems like LEGO really likes penguins in this next series.

10218 Pet Shop, had to have one before it's discontinued! Not allowing myself to open it yet though, there are college assignments to do!
-
It will be released in the UK I think, at least through Shop at Home. You'll have to spend a good bit of money before you get it though, it's a promotional freebie. I absolutely love it, so I'll probably get Fun in the Park and maybe the new Friends Hot Dog Van.

Shop Promotion Date Thing
AnnaBuildsLego replied to Actor Builder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You should go ahead and order LEGO and use it to motivate yourself to finish your paper. That's what I do and it works pretty well - I have a brand new Pet Shop waiting on me, just gotta finish these damn college assignments before I can open it. I hope you get your Mr Freeze! Do you intend to open him? I can't decide what to do with mine! -
Just heard the news of this and didn't see it mentioned in the thread (my apologies if I've missed it) but here is a new small Creator freebie for June, a fountain! http://brickset.com/article/20923/creator-40221-fountain-revealed-on-brand-store-calendar Should go really well with the Fun in the Park set!

That Creator set looks like it will go wonderfully with the park! Love it! I hope I can save up enough money in time to get the Park in June then.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
You're totally right! I've always loved Spider-Man, he was my favourite superhero for years and years before I was introduced to the Flash and became a bit more of a DC fan, but these sets are helping me not choose one side over the other. I haven't any Marvel representation in my collection at all actually (except for an old Spider-Man 2 Spidey minifig) so it'll be pretty cool to get some new minifigs to fill that void a bit. The Marvel minifigs are just a little bonus for me personally though - the main reason I want to get the Bridge set is for my town layout. Wonderful three sets though! I wonder if it will be possible to mod a single Bridge set into a reasonably sized bridge without having to buy a second set. -

Can't wait to see what it looks like to combine two of those bridges! As a Town fan, that bridge looks wonderful, and the fact that it includes a taxi just makes things even better! Very exciting set. -
I hope the interior is relatively school-like, because wow, that looks great! I have to say, the set really appeals to me because it'll give me a bus to go with the bus stop from the City Fun in the Park set.

Personally, I think Brick Bank and the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters are spectacular sets, some of the most impressive I've seen. The Brick Bank, like all of the Modular Buildings, is spectacular, and I also believe the Firehouse is well worth its price, from what I've seen. I'm busy catching up on the Modulars right now, because of just being back this year from my Dark Ages, but I have the feeling that if I don't get either, I will deeply regret it - particularly the Firehouse. I would not at all be surprised if the Firehouse became one of those beautiful sets which people regret not buying once it retires. Now, Assault on Hoth, the Batcave, and The Village: I cannot agree more with the criticism of these. Assault on Hoth does indeed seem to be a collection of previously released sets and does not look good enough on display to justify its pricing; The Batcave is bare and looks terribly unfinished, making it also be a poor display set; and the Village is actually alright, but has such a hefty price tag for being a box of extremely common parts. I am looking forward to seeing the Winter Train and especially the Carousel, because I missed out on the old set. Overall, is it a slightly lackluster year for these huge sets? I think so, yes, but the overall quality of Brick Bank and the Firehouse, coupled with the quality of many of the regular release sets, make it perfectly fine for me. Less money to spend (money that I really don't have) - the fewer awesome LEGO sets, the more likely it is that I can actually afford to pick up the ones I want.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I usually just use the bump codes as a back-up. I'll feel the packs, settle on a pack I think is the figure I want, and then check bump codes just to be sure. It's just a nice reassurance if you see that the bumps match up after you've felt the pack - you'll know for certain then that it's the one you were looking for.- 4,155 replies

Love it! I might use paper roads to get my town going (considering how expensive road plates are for some reason), would you mind sharing the template you used? Thanks, and amazing layout!

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Stitch could have had a good few different possible accessories. He could have had a guitar, an Elvis CD, his baby bottle that he drinks coffee out of, Lilo's doll (although I imagine Lilo will have that in a future series), the Ugly Ducking book or just a little duckling to go beside him, his little blaster pistol, etc. I'm a little disappointed they didn't include the Ugly Duckling book, that would have fit nicely. I think Stitch is open to variants in future series' though, so they might save some accessories for that. I wonder if we'll ever see him in variant costumes like these: No idea how they would give him the antennae or the two extra arms, though.- 4,155 replies

Stitch is glorious. Wonderful figure, I'm going to try to get as many of him as I can! The printing indicating his tail is just the cutest, very well done. He's definitely the best figure in the series for me! Thanks for the review!- 4,155 replies

I still have the 2007 Service Station (which remains such a lovely set) so I'm definitely not going to shell out the money to get this new version. City has definitely become tremendously expensive - other than the Fun in the Park set, I'm actually leaning now more toward Creator and Friends as means of expanding my town.

How much is the 'Gotham Unleashed' DVD expected to cost? I'm interested for the Nightwing minifigure only, so I'm wondering if I should buy it or not.- 8,446 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Apparently I might be able to get a Pet Shop pretty soon! I don't have the money right now to pay for it, but my awesome mother is offering to buy one just because it looks like it's very close to retiring. Shout out to my mom, who is awesome. Anybody have ideas/easy tutorials for some ways to spruce up the interior of the apartments? I was thinking of making it my project when I get the set to deck the interiors out with improved kitchens, bathrooms, living room areas. Does anybody have any ideas for little mini-builds or ways to mod the Pet Shop apartments? -
Fun in the Park is an absolute DREAM of a set! It just looks beautiful, I can't wait to use it to inject some life into the little park set-up I already have. Already planning to have that poor hot dog salesman get a bit of nasty competition from the Friends Hot Dog van. Beautiful set filled with great pieces. Only thing I'd change is that I'd use the old football piece for the ball, but I have two of those, so I'll swap one in. What a fantastic set. I hope it sells really well, because I remember buying the civilian pack in 2009, as well as one of the Lego Education sets of civilian minifigures, and just loving them. I've always been obsessed with sets that focus on civilian life, and this is one of the best civilian sets ever, I think. Now, as for that bus stop sign - Can we PLEASE get a new Lego bus? I missed City Corner, it's one of my biggest regrets.

I feel that Stitch is far and away the best minifig in this series. Can't wait to get one! I also feel like as soon as this series launches, grab all the Stitches you can. It looks to me like his head will be easy to feel out, and he's going to be very popular, I think.- 4,155 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
AnnaBuildsLego replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 15 is definitely more popular/more in demand than Monsters was. Here in Ireland, every toy shop I go to seems to have a single Series 15 box which tends to be basically cleared out - and most toy shops also have a box or multiple boxes of Monsters which are practically still full. I actually found a toy shop out on my adventures that had 3 full boxes of Monsters and only a single box of Series 15.
