  1. Maybe because of dog show stereotypes, it could be a poodle?
  2. Knightmare Batman sounds like a good bet, and I could live with missing out on that, so here's hoping! I could probably deal with missing out on CW Captain Cold too, simply because we already have two great versions of him now (Grodd Goes Bananas and the new Mighty Micros set). I do love him on the show though, so I don't know, I think anything related to The Flash show being an exclusive would hurt my soul somewhat. I love the show so much, I really hope no CW characters wind up as Comic Con exclusives. I love Cisco so, so much. Him being a Comic Con exclusive would break my heart. Although it would definitely be better to have someone like him as the exclusive rather than a super-stylised unique figure like Zoom or even just the CW Flash or Reverse Flash would have to be. I'm lucky in that I, through freakish luck, came across a Green Arrow minifig for sale at a pop culture convention alongside all the members of the Justice League. I don't believe he's the legitimate Comic Con Arrow, but he's tremendously close and if it is a knock-off, extremely high quality.
  3. That looks great! Can't wait for that set, I like that we'll have slightly different versions of the Flash suit, so we can totally have Barry Allen and Wally West in unique suits. Captain Cold also looks great! I actually kind of prefer his face here to other version! I'm only just out of my my Dark Ages, what would be the best way to pick up those light blue legs for him?
  4. If they wanted to go with a more action-packed angle, they could do a Safari series. You could have a Safari Jeep, a Helicopter for moving animals to other enclosures maybe, things like that. There could also be a vet on location, possibly built into a van. Then the theme's big set would be the Safari Zoo with a few enclosures, a vehicle and a small gift shop or restaurant. It could have some action features like the ability to super-jump monkeys at your guests.
  5. Hey Robert8! Thanks! Yeah, I've seen a few of the new City sets! Definitely looking forward to the Fun in the Park set, it looks wonderful. I also like the new Service Station, but I already own the 2007 version so my town is sorted for that! I really hope a new City hospital comes out in the next few years, it's something my town is sorely missing. Hi TheLegGodt! Thanks a million! Woah, that is long! I guess I am lucky then. I'm really dreading looking back through all the sets I missed, but yeah, at least it's only a few years. I did miss out entirely on Lord of the Rings, though, that's a major bummer. I remember when everyone used to talk about how cool it would be to have LotR sets! Thank you!
  6. The recent modulars have had the trend of combining two businesses/buildings, and having some kind of humorous storyline involved with the buildings (the "treats Prohibition" in Detective Office, and "money laundering" in Brick Bank). Applying that as a rule for the direction TLG wants to go in with future modulars, how about a dentist's office next to a sweet shop?
  7. Totally agree! Flash needs his yellow boots to balance the figure out. Yeah, this is a total bummer for me. I'm a big DC fan but I don't really tend to enjoy the over-abundance of vehicles in sets, nor the constant inclusion of Batman. I'm not really a big fan of Batman (although he's great in small doses), so it puts me off buying full DC sets whenever great chunks of the parts count are taken up by Batman builds and vehicles. I tend to just pick up the minifigs for that reason, so buying any of the DC sets out now would feel like a bit of a waste for me. I wish LEGO would release a full Justice League league set like the Watchtower, I would buy the hell out of that. The only DC set out now that I'm mildly interested in is Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas simply because I love the Flash, but it doesn't feel worth it when most of the set is taken up with a Batman mech I would just throw right into my parts box. I do like Wonder Woman and her Invisible Jet because at least that is quite recognisable, but I'd rather save up and spend the money on Poe's X-Wing from Star Wars. Plus, if I want Captain Cold there's a pretty decent version of him in the Mighty Micros set. So, doesn't look like I'm getting Mr. Freeze.
  8. That would be terrible, especially if it was Zoom - at least if it were Firestorm we could still get a relatively similar-looking Firestorm minifig in a random DC set, whereas with Zoom, he is pretty much exclusive to the CW show in terms of design. If we got a non-CW show "Zoom," he'd be the Reverse Flash and look like an entirely different character than fans of the show are accustomed to seeing. Unfortunately it is possible that one of those could be exclusive figures, because as far as I know Funko is making Pop!Figures of Zoom and Firestorm this year, so they've probably been identified in the collectables market as figures people are wanting. I'd just love to see an official CW Flash set. I really enjoy the STAR Labs Ideas set, so anything based around that kind of idea could be amazing.
  9. Just out of my personal Dark Ages, so my favourites are all from several years ago (I'm only including sets which I own). - 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer from 2006. It's the first big set I really remember having. It's a sizeable, sturdy build which has lasted through the years. It also has pretty great interior space for minifigs, and I love the working escape pod and the mechanism for placing on Vader's helmet. It was pretty affordable back in the day, with tons of great minifigs. - 8038 The Battle of Endor from 2009. This is probably my favourite, and I don't even like Endor much. Everything about it is perfect. I don't think I have to say any more about it! - 7675 AT-TE Walker from 2008. I'll just give it the edge over the Republic Attack Gunship from the same year (even though I love that too) simply because it's a great model, extremely sturdy and contains my two favourite Clone Wars characters, Rex and Ahsoka. - 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter from 2009. Incredibly sturdy, fantastic model, and an awesome Vader figure. It just looks fantastic and is ridiculously durable, so it's wonderful. Very, very swoosh-worthy. Honourable Mentions: - 7672 Rogue Shadow from 2008. I used to absolutely love the character of Galen Marek/Starkiller, and his minifig is still one of the coolest I've ever encountered, and to my knowledge he has the only minifig torso which has ever included blood? The battle-damaged variant of Vader is also extremely cool and something I treasure. - 7673 MagnaGuard Starfighter from 2008. Definitely loses marks on minifigs and recognisablity, but what a sleek, swooshable ship. I still rather enjoy picking it up and giving it a swoosh around the place. ---- The next LEGO set I'm going to get will be Poe's X-Wing, which looks like a strong contender to make this list. I just love everything I see there!
  10. So, Mr Freeze will only get added to your bag on Shop At Home if you spend that amount on something specifically DC? If I buy something over that amount that isn't DC (I have my eye cast on Poe's X-Wing fighter) I won't get Mr Freeze with it? I'm unsure if it's simply wishful thinking on my part, but Kid Flash could totally appear in a future set/polybag in some capacity (Young Justice inspired or not) considering how popular Flash currently is. I would love if TLG gave us some more Flash-related characters! Imagine if we could have Kid Flash, Impulse, Reverse Flash, Jay Garrick... Young Justice is a fantastic show, so here's hoping Netflix picks it up! This is something I've noticed upon just recently returning from my Dark Ages. Around the time I left, it felt like leg-printing was becoming awesomely commonplace, with some really amazing figures like that golden knight from Castle. It's extremely odd seeing sets where now, printing seems to be rather minimal. With superheroes in particular, leg-printing really is often important to cement the details of the suits.
  11. I would love that! As a proud 'Puff, I'd say it's definitely about time we were represented in LEGO form. Fingers crossed for a Fantastic Beasts scene in which Newt flashes back to his time in Hogwarts, because then if LEGO got the license to Fantastic Beasts we could get him in Hufflepuff uniform. Or they could simply revive the Harry Potter license!
  12. I saw this over on Ideas, what a genius way to represent STAR Labs! I absolutely love how Wells' secret room is literally on the "reverse" side of the set. I'm a big fan of the show and everything here looks wonderful, from the set itself to those gorgeous minifigures. They could even use the new wheelchair accessory on Wells. Supported, best of luck!
  13. Hey everyone! I'm Anna, Irish female AFOL just out of the Dark Ages and back into LEGO collecting. I'm 19 now, and had been collecting LEGO obsessively from about 2005 to 2011, and just got back into the hobby this year. I'm mainly interested in LEGO Town - City and a bit of Creator, my first modular is on the way - and Star Wars, and these take up the majority of my collection. I'm also pretty interested in bits and pieces - no pun intended - of other themes, for example DC Superheroes because I am a big fan, or the collectable minifigs. I've never been particularly good at making MOCs, but my current aim is to take these boxes of stashed bricks out and create a meaningful town for my minifigs. I'm very much pleased to meet all of you, thanks for having me! I'm sure I'll have a great time amongst you all here on the forums. Everyone here seems lovely and helpful - I can finally stop lurking now and actually interact with you guys, woo! Many thanks! - AnnaBuildsLego
  14. New member, but if you're not in, you can't win! The Deep Sea Diver from Series 1 took a lift from some pirates and went down in a shark cage... Adventures ensue!
