These are really good match. I do hope that sand red makes a comeback.

Thanks! I'll look out for it when I'm in the Lego shop on Thursday then. TBH this would have been easy day one but it didn't really wow me in the way I'd hoped it would, but I'd be gutted if it retired before I picked it up.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I mean a Tiamut hand hand coming out the ocean set in the style of the incredible Ninjago dragonstone shrine set would have been beautiful. But TBH I don't mind this film having a lame set as I have very little interest in it. It's an easy skip cinema wise I mean it's controversial for all the wrong reasons ( Hiding the leads face because of his race, Associations with the military industrial complex, uncomfortable connections to current day real life conflicts and massacres, betraying thier moral standards to cater to foreign markets, I could go on.). I mean if I was a big Captain America or Falcon fan I could probably try and look past that but this movie sounded relatively boring to me before it even started sounding shady. -

I say this at least once a month, but he really should have been an anniversary fig. Disney tried to make Phasma the Sequel's 'Boba Fett' but it's absolutely Sidon. -
I look forward to seeing it! Translating one of my digital mocs into real life is something I've wanted to do myself but not yet gotten round to.

How to Train Your Dragon - 2025 Rumors & Updates
Agent Kallus replied to karrit's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sure these will provide us with some interesting parts. But it's not really on my list. I did read some of the books as a kid and I've seen some of the films as an adult but it's not really a franchise I have any strong connection to. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Agent Kallus replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
So we have January: Series 27 May: F1 September: ??? I'm guessing it's too early to know really. But we have known things early before. Do we think it's more likely to be licensed or not? -
What is your favorite Space set? (One only!)
Agent Kallus replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Of the ones I own (which isn't many) I think I'd say 21109: Exo Suit but it was the most fragile set I've ever had but it's quite nostalgic for me. I think it's one of the first sets I when to buy in the Lego shop on it's release day. -
So am right in saying this set is set to retire at the end of this year?

Sidon Ithano!!! His species have no set ageing rate, I'd roll my eyes if he was somehow old enough to be in the High Republic (and I love the High Republic) but he could be old enough to show up in Mando or something in that new republic era. -
@Peppermint_M could this thread be pinned to replace the 2024 one?

I mean it's incrediblely unlikely but WB, DC and Universal could come to some sort of arrangement . More likely than the Lego Zanner Toobin movie. Probably even more likely than the Lego Brum V Postman Pat's black and white cat movie. I still think while unlikely DC is a non-zero probability and since this is the DC thread I will say that the concept of a Lego green lantern movie is a pretty perfect fit considering their powerset. I could see the lantern ring creating bricks and they then piece them together to make all Thier constructs. Of course this whole Live action nonsense throws a spanner into that idea, as it kinda ruins the whole thing and I'm not sure they'd want 2 separate live action green lantern continuities confusing audiences ( then again that seems to be thier exact plan with Batman! But he's Batman)

There are images out there for 3 more of the 2025 sets: 71489 Cooper's Flying Video Game Controller (266 pieces, $19.99) 71490 Izzie and Buchurro and the Gaming Bunny (252 pieces, $19.99) 71491 Mateo with the Z-Blob Action Racer (485 pieces, $49.99) Personally they don't really do anything for me. The nightmare dreaming has an interesting helmet with a plume but it'll probably be too video-gamey (despite most video games not generally having that look) for my purposes. The carrot guy is something too I guess. Looks like the hero vehicles will share a touch of neon yellow.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
No one is a bit hyperbolic. I mean blade as moon knight is weird one off what if character id rather get Ralph or Lilia over him (Especially if Ralph is in the Quicksilver outfit from the Halloween WandaVision episode). I mean we already have blade and moon knight on shelves Quicksilver had one Minifigure from 2015 before I'd even joined EB (I was a mere lurker then and now I'm a Duke ). I haven't seen Echo yet but I'm guessing that he's just a civilian? And I'd only really want Lilia and Ralph is their less generic outfits. -
Zane! I hadn't even noticed him because it's a white background picture and he kinda blends in the white background. I don't see any yellow on the blue F5 member who people think could be Jay. ( But then again I missed Zane entirely. Maybe I need new glasses) Also new Live action???!! Ninjago movie rumoured from universal? What why? Might never see the light of day but all the same WHAT????

Hates? Lego (TLG) is a company not a person, they aren't a conscious entity with thoughts or feelings they cannot feel hate, Thier employees and managers can I suppose but if there was a true dislike then I believe they simply wouldn't make DC sets. Now I suppose following my logic you could instead say that Lego prioritises Marvel over DC and that it's designer perhaps prefer it. But that still lacks nuance, since these things are multifactorial! I think the true reason is that TLG are seeing a greater demand for other themes than they are for DC and are thusly not fully capitalising on its potential. It's hard to argue that the current pop cultural climate isn't more in favour of Marvel over DC ( Which IMO we can majortively blame on a slew of incompetence in WB) though Batman is still perhaps the world's favourite superhero. But I have hope that we might be starting to see a relative renaissance for this theme. Where Lego realises it's potential to make more interesting and varied sets and hopefully that'll sell and encourage them to continue, the advent of a new movie universe helps my optimism especially with a proven and competent (but not flawless) Storyteller helming the ship.

Yeah that's not a village, it's a shrine at best, still looks cool though. I'm sure that that's not jay. It sounds like we have the elemental master of Thunder as one the forbidden 5's elements. And I'm okay with that afterall thunder is actually quite different from lightning IRL ( though this guy useing blue lighting bolts muddies that a bit). Morro I'm glad to see. I mean technically we've seen all of the now in some shape or form - Nokt and Rox in the show ( and the others but only in the shadows) then we had the green chained one and bug eyed red one leak earlier with this blue one being the last one. Though your right the blurry pictures hardly count as a good look at them and show designs don't always line up perfectly to the IRL figures ( Nokt will probably be pretty spot on but Rox's little metal teeth mask will likely be printed not a separate part like in the show and if it is a separate part there'll be the neck attachment point ( a separate part would be fun as then it can be used elsewhere).

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I do agree that the guild tie is the least likely of ones I listed though TLG do sometimes surprise us and pull things out of left field. Though the Minifigures would be another point against it as all the others mentioned could just use a tie pilot plus some reused imperial troops, whereas you'd need mining Guild operatives for the mining guild tie to make sense and I don't see TLG using a minifig slot on that. Another Tie they probably won't do would be Sabine's masterpiece from season 1 of rebels. Would be interesting to see though. An imperial set I'd actually like to see more than any Tie would be Last/le gunship. Which thanks to it's appearance in Ashoka ( ABC that setting it as part of Thrawn's fleet so that it has a live action precedent so it'll likely show up again in the so-called Mando-verse) seems quite possible.
