Preventing LEGO sets from getting dusty
TeriXeri replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Instead of blowing dust off, I use a small tube + brush attachment for vacuum cleaner (looks like a garden hose with a plastic tube at the end to put in attachements), it's small enough to soak up dust between studded areas, but not strong enough to just suck up attached pieces into it, it's basicly the combination of brush+vacuum. (Google Micro Vacuum Cleaner Kit to get an idea) Canned Air and such would just spread the dust and not remove it from the room. -

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Shopping Street certainly is nice, full price is too much, but on discount, I like it more then the Donut Shop. Shop buildings are not very deep in terms of interior but I can see those roads easily work with other 3-in-1 scale buildings as it's all plate-based. -
The more I look at it , the more I like it, but Barracuda Bay and Chinese New Year are higher priority for me when it comes to larger sets to get, so I'll probably just end up getting some 3-in-1 / City sets instead of this later.
-
So in 2017, the kid lived with his mom in this house ?
-
Not bad, just think it'd be a bit too large in a City / 3-in-1 scale town (I don't have other modulars , but no City Police Station either yet). It's low priority for me, but if I end up getting this I'd probably use it as a starting point of a custom Police Station or some other build, quite a lot of cohesive color, Tan from top to bottom is quite nice. I do hope those flat cap police officers come in regular sets again.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
As for buildings, I agree Creator 3-in-1 mostly have been a bit more complex buildings for years now, but also come at a slightly higher age target group based on the box number, City is mostly 5+/6+ , Friends is mostly 6+ , Creator generally 8+ on most buildings. I'm just glad City actually does offer a range of building/locations now, since the retirement of their People Packs (I'll take it back if we see one in 2021), some themed locations like the Skate Park are nice. That said, I do hope Creator 3-in-1 will still offer a Villa/Family House type set in the near future, but Friends 41449 Andrea’s Family House does look quite nice at first look as well. -
I just got the Fire Stone Mech this year (still have to build it) , but will certainly try if it can be modded with knees based on the 2021 mech. Right now looking forward for the "islanders" season 14 sets. I say islanders because they would be a nice stand-in to go with 2020 Pirates sets.

First picture I saw was super blurred, so guessed on the low end but yes, looks at least 50 now.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
It's certainly a new color, and based on the size , it's the second ever use of the 2016 Prison Island Boat hull. I just hope the €30 price is correct, would be a great set for that price imo. Xtra had Traffic Lights from 2018-2020 (retired in Europe), wouldn't surprise me to see a new version release like Xtra plants got a second version as well. Also Xtra Traffic Signs would make sense , would also be nice if it included more of those glow in the dark street lights. -

So the Surfer Beach House can hinge on both front and back to have access to the inside, that's great for easy interior access and different display. Also 3 surfboards, one in sandgreen. -
REVIEW: Monkie Kid 80006 White Dragon Horse Bike
TeriXeri replied to Pchan1983's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The base price isn't the main issue, yes it's high of course, but it's the exclusivity means the theme has no discounts, which has an even bigger effect compared to other sets that can regularly see 20-40% off in some regions. I understand exclusive sets have a place, but in Monkie Kid's case it's the entire theme. Not saying that LEGO doesn't have discounts, they actually do, usually only at a few moments or when a theme is already retiring, and then sold out shortly after.- 2 replies

LEGO Creator 2021 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
New Motorcycle looks great, big improvement over 2017 imo. Race Car Transporter has some nice looking Formula 1 type cars, overall, I can see the set can be fairly easily modded into a Town-scale racing set with the 4-wide style they have. Beach House is fantastic, certainly for me on-par with the 2020 Toyshop in terms of parts/detail/colors, and those sets are good starting points for small scale buildings with the windows/doors etc. -
Cupcakes certainly gets my vote for being the most creative set of early 2021, it's just a great idea for a LEGO set.
-
So Creator 3-in-1 has another (90s)Space inspired minifigure in a 2021. I could certainly think that a 3-in-1 Castle themed set would be possible if nothing else shows up.

LEGO Ninjago 2021
TeriXeri replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
LEGO managed to make a Mech with knees, certainly interested to see how it's built. -
Well, they are likely meant to represent Cherry Blossom flowers, just like we have a lot of other frogs in sets meant as roof decorations, or Lion Suit ears (lion dance) etc same thing happens with recolors of bananas and sausage pieces. Anyway, It's a 2-in-1 set with green leaves and pink leaves, so they use frogs for the shape, still a funny use.

And there are lots of (looks like at least 10-20) pink frogs in the Bonsai tree set.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I think it's fantastic they throw in a figure in a small Creator set, and a throwback to Space for sure with that nice head. I don't mind the re-use of the torso from the 2020 rover as it's a good torso. Quite a nice color scheme/parts in the set as well. -
LEGO Creator 2021 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ok official pictures are starting. Cyber Drone is actually a Sci-Fi set with a minifig with a transparent lightblue head in Spyrius Droid style and the Space torso from 2020's Rover. Lion set looks nice as well, with an ostrich and warthog alternate builds , certainly a striking parts-pack with flame yellow and darkred. -
I agree here, I'm probably part of the Target for Legacy sets, I never collected Ninjago until 2019, I found the Legacy Monastery a great starting point as it has a full team of ninjas+wu in it. Now those smaller sets are a nice chance to get some legacy season villains again like ghosts and snakes.

Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
TeriXeri replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Great sets for sure, actual return to a real City layout, and the new roads look good. Even the Townhouse is nicer then expected, thought it was less deep initially. Love the colors, plants, and what looks like Labrador dogs in brown and tan. Scale wise, the streets and buildings fit perfectly with 3-in-1 scale buildings. Interesting choice for a Dojo on the second floor of the Pizzeria, but perfect for kids for bring Ninjago characters to a City. -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
TeriXeri replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
100% fake, and a meme. -
I'd like to see some Castle Interior type set(s) , like the Harry Potter Classroom "books", those look great, instead of using Harry Potter themed things they can have something like a Throne Room, Treasure Room, Dungeon, and Outer wall or something as Castle playsets or expansion sets to a Castle set/wall system. Currently not collecting Harry Potter sets myself so €30 is a bit much for 1 of them, but if they end up on discount I might reconsider.
