Since this is a contest, a lot of entries are often not posted until they are complete. So there will be (hopefully) many more entries closer to the deadline.

Crane problem
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Dafgek81's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
"This thing all things devours: Birds, beasts, trees, flowers... Gnaws iron, bites steel. Grinds hard stones to meal... It slays king, and ruins town, And beats high mountain down. I am time." J. R.R. Tolkien got that right! From his book, "The Hobbit." And I know, I just revealed myself as a true nerd... -
Crane problem
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Dafgek81's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@nerdsforprez With, age, just like everything else... As the batteries get older and are not used, the caustic materials in them will gradually begin to leach out of them, causing the corrosion, which ruins the electronics. @Dafgek81 At some point I built the crane alone just to get the experience, but as far as I remember, it worked fine for me. I would double-check the gearing... -
Wow... Usually, the Batmobiles are notoriously difficult to build, but this one looks great! Cool functions, and it drives pretty well.

Tonight's Update: Progress has been made! I figured out how to connect the rear wheel and driving axle to the swing arm, now I just have to figure out how to mount that to the chassis... Which still needs to be built. Crappy pics are in the spoiler, sorry for the poor quality. I should (hopefully) be getting a real photography background and some lights soon.

This looks interesting... The suspension is a new style for you, rear wheel drive, adjustable spoiler... Cannot tell if that is V-8 or V-10 engine... Not enough to make a guess on. I wish I had enough parts to make even one supercar...

Tonight's Update: 1. I am making progress, though I cannot show it here, I have discovered several things that will NOT work... Ergo, I have found a possible method. It is not in bricks just yet, I need to see if I can even make it work before I show it off. I may need to significantly rework my mystery function in order for it to be successful, it requires a crap ton of moving parts, all of which need to be synchronized. So I could post a photo of a pile of randomly connected U-joints, Cardan joints, bevel gears, linear actuators and some shocks. But it shows nothing at all, and I plan to get somewhere tomorrow now that I have figured out what I need to do. Sorry there is nothing to show, I will have photos tomorrow for sure.

Congrats on finishing this behemoth! It looks great, too bad it cannot drive well. Functions sound cool, I will wait eagerly for the video. Also, your title has a typo. Not a big one, but it should say "International...."

Cool model, it looks great and works well. Now you need to make one of those little baggage cart "trains." When I first started getting into Technic, gosh, was it really 6 years ago?! My grandpa looked at what I was doing, then went and told my little brothers "Sorry guys... It looks like your brother is building replacements for you."

Great review, I will definitely pick this up, it is full of useful pieces... Especially sand green! In general, pick up an Ideas set first because their production run is usually limited. As I sadly learned...

Update for today: 1. An apology: I said I would do this yesterday, then totally forgot to. My bad. 2. The chassis: Nowhere near as far as I was hoping to get yesterday, I had a ton of trouble with how I wanted to add the rear suspension and drivetrain and mystery function into the same suspended swing-arm... However, I am happy to report that I believe I have found a solution! See in the spoiler below. I hope to finish the rear swing-arm prototype today. 3. The bodywork: Hahahaha! Great joke! ... Yeah, not even started except for part gathering... See a pic in the spoiler.

Campaign 3- Taking Ground 6/15/17 - 7/31/17
Leonardo da Bricki replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
Ok, that is fine. I will keep the one I already have. -
Just a quick update for tonight: I have begun forming the chassis, so far it is not worth showing (plus my camera battery is dead) but tomorrow I will have photos of my progress. I did learn that the rear wheels and suspension will be much trickier than I thought previously, in order to accommodate my unusual function... Sorry I don't have anything to show for today!
