Incredible models! You’ve added so many nice touches to the bodywork, the rims are the icing on the cake. The Video was perfect - exciting and good vibe!

Thanks guys. I feel like the trick to the success of this car was the preparation prior to designing. Dugald chose this car well, as it didn't have a roof (more panel placement elsewhere) and the colour combo was similar in real life (tan interior) Some smaller details were ironed out even before we got to the end, like removing 2 of the suspension control arms from the front suspension to be used for the opening of the doors. These seemingly small processes helped massively at the end of the build, as we were able to create the Butterfly doors and other sections by stealing from different areas. Hey Meatman! I totally know what you mean, the real doors open much further and more upward in real life. But as all things Technic, we are left with limitations. As you can see in the video, the angle at which the doors open do not allow any more movement - or else the bodywork would be compromised. There were around 800 parts left over as LvdH has stated. Yes, the red hose was cut in half, and the lights were cut 4 studs shorter. This was a tough descision as I didn't wat to mod. any parts, but alas the final product is much more appealing when modded. So beware - scissors required! lol Yep! Thanks again @LvdH for your parts help on this one. Very cool man! I'm hopefully starting instructions tonight. Hey Guys! This car is a collaboration between @DugaldIC, @Didumos69 and @Lox Lego . Dugald created the incredible framework, Didumos69 made the 8 Speed gearbox, (thanks dude!) and I completed the bodywork (with some serious help from my Bro - thanks B!) With a body that draws crowds, two seats, dihedral doors, and enough air intakes for a fighter jet, the McLaren 570S will arouse envy in all who see it. Its carbon-fiber-and-aluminum construction, 562-hp twin-turbo V-8, murderous exhaust note, and preternatural steering ensure that it’s no showpiece, either. Mclaren 570s - Art by lachlan cameron, on Flickr I've added a Lipo battery, S-brick and PF lights to showcase the car. Whats not to like! Fantasic shaping on the roof and wheel wells. I feel the back center is a stud too low, but thats just an observation. Great job! -

This car is action packed! Great work on the door mechanism and functions, but of course the bodywork is best! One of the best I've seen of this car +1 for the colour scheme -

Thanks a lot @LvdH!! Yes that’s tape. I just added it to show what full red will look like as the owner will paint the parts, and I will not. The doors are on multiple hinges and due to the weight of the door it goes low sometimes. That’s why I placed that small panel at the back of the door to help it slide into place when it closes. Wow thanks man! The client was quite excited about it too ? Right on, thanks :) Hey meat man! If someone happens to want a car designed, and we have agreed upon certain terms, then I work to the requests of the customer. Also, I can keep my black curved panels in black and all is well ? Thanks Leonardo! Nice to see someone understands the tape. I feel if I painted it folks would be not ok with that. Anyway, had a blast building this car and plan on designing many more. -
The Honda CR-Z is a sport compact hybrid electric automobile manufactured by Honda and marketed as a "sport hybrid coupe. The CR-Z combines a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain with traditional sports car elements, most notably having a 2+2 seating arrangement and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The CR-Z is regarded as the spiritual successor to the second generation Honda CR-X in both name and exterior design. You've done a good job on a very hard car! I agree with others - The rear lights could be adjusted. Also, the front bumper on the sides seem to be missing a panel. Great progress!!

Hi @agrof, the front suspension on the original setup it is still weak. It is simple, the front of the car is simply to heavy to hold all of the weight. There are many other ways to create suspension setups (without torsion bar) that maximize spring strength. The depends on the control arm length, angle of the shock and if the shock is leveraged or not. My Bugatti suspension is an example of a leveraged setup that will hold much more weight than normal due to the leverage arms. Even suspension like the front of the Lemans racecar 42039 (inboard front suspension) is quite strong because the control arms travel more than the spring due to the angle the shock is on. Like all vehicles in real life, different lengths and positions in shocks, control arms and angles are chosen for the best solution. Bugatti Chiron Framework by lachlan cameron, on Flickr

My gosh I couldn't imagine you running out of parts Cheers!! Now that this has been built I won't be doing a mustang for a very long time... Thanks @Pvdb! That is a really good Idea, thanks for that. It would have looked much better. Time to spock up on 1x1 beams now... Thanks! I've recently finished the instructions for the Mustang, they're avail. at Rebrickable! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-14616/Loxlego/1967-eleanor-mustang Chromatic effect - 67’ Mustang by lachlan cameron, on Flickr I bought all my chrome parts from Bubul bricklink store - great prices and selection! https://store.bricklink.com/Bubul 67’ Mustang Chrome bits by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Mustang lighting by lachlan cameron, on Flickr

You explained it perfectly KD :) Hi! Yes, I will Make instructions very soon and post them on rebrickable. Thanks @Offroadcreat1ons - I couldn’t pass it up. It suited the car too well

Thanks all :) Leo - I've got tons of chrome now for new builds - excited to use them. Busterhaus - I stole those cobra's from one of my sons Ninjago sets. I saw them and immediately knew how i could implement them. I was also fond of the white and black combo, I had originally wanted to do a blue stripe, but the parts took a while to arrive thru BL and black seemed decent so I stuck with it. Hey guys, thanks for the comment :) I was influenced by @LvdH to use those rims and tires as they suit the build. I'm glad I used them, and had geared down the steering as a vehicle this weight can damage the steering if it has a larger turning radius. I has more of a turning radius that what was seen in the video, but I was filming and steering at the same time so I didn't turn the wheels all the way. I always gear down the porsche rims (As Lego did in the Porsche set) because the wheels have such a deep dish that if they turned the full amount they would rub on the suspension arms. Can't thank you guys enough for your help Technic_addict, KD and LvdH. Look forward to meeting you guys again later this week :) Thanks for the correction - clearly a bigger Mustang fan than myself Cheers Hey meatman, thanks for the comments. I was asked about removing the 2l connectors from the wheel arches already, but it just doesn't look right. The extra width of the 2l connectors cover the small gaps around the wheel for an overall better appearance. The roof was a touch different than I would have hoped, but its unique and I grew to like it once it was built. Thanks all - onto my next challenge with @DugaldIC - STAY TUNED! 1967 Eleanor Mustang Engine bay goodness by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
