I guess that it all comes down to how much you love the models that you have built.. You can always rebuild a model later if you wanted... If you're looking for ideas on car building, I have comprised a decent list of builders from all over the globe with picture links to their work... You will get more than enough ideas HERE that should help you travel in whichever direction that you are looking to go..

This is fantastic... LOL... 50% of the people supporting there are not 18 and most people don't follow the guidelines... If I were you, I would upload it anyways... -

Here is the new 8 tooth gear.. It doesn't slide into the holes of the liftarms like the older one did... The Lego part number ID is: 6012451 Here is the Bricklink link... Shoot me a P.M. or email... -

My very own Supercar - WiP

I would also seriously consider trying to rework your Hand of God steering system to be as simple as possible, because with that many gears being used to work it, when you start adding the weight of the body, you may run into issues with the steering not wanting to work smoothly... -

Glad you like this gearbox idea and decided to incorporate it into your model.. I have actually been working on a smarter redesign of it that uses a center differential(for All Wheel Drive) and I also did a chassis that I redesigned about 20 times till I got something that was clean, simple, and lightweight... It has the Hand of God steering going through the center of the Driving Rings instead of the front drive shaft... This chassis is also using the new hubs from the 42000 Grand Prix Racer... I went with just rear wheel drive because I was not happy with the performance of the CV joints in combination with the steering of the new front hubs... This new styled Gearbox module design is amazingly smooth and solid... One (2 actually) key piece is without a doubt the new 8 tooth gear... Shoot me a P.M. if you're in need of any of these new gears.. I have a ton of them... -
I'll say.. I am very impressed with the new Lone Ranger sets...

That is my wife's store.. She has the prices set at what they are because she doesn't want to sell them... It is more to try and promote the model at Cuusoo... Buying new 8450 sets is how she got the flex axles in the first place, so yeah, that is a given that the best way to get them is by buying the entire 8450 set at a cheaper price... Looking at that seller's feedback, they are from South Korea and seem to have had some issues in the past... Personally, I think that car looks better with a White 19L flex axle for the windshield base... I used a black one, but it seemed to lose it's shape... What's funny is just a year ago, I had bought several of these 8450 sets brand new on Ebay for $21.49, $26.00 and $31.00...

LOL.. No nothing like that, but when I was sending the invoice, I couldn't believe that the high bidder did in fact live in my city... I don't know who he is, but I googled his name(with the city) and he has a dental practice here... With 8 seconds left, this was heading to Australia... And then the sniper came in....

Lego Technic 2h 2013

Yes, I strongly feel that this little guy has 4 wheel steering... Even more so now than when we first got the early prelim pic that showed arrows insinuating that all 4 wheels steered....- 902 replies

Cleaning models

Studless models most definitely have the advantage here in ease of cleaning... -
I am happy with the amount raised, but I was shocked when I found out where the high bidder was located....

That was really awesome of Huw to do that...I think he has the only non-technic based site that featured this(Besides www.wired.com) You could probably build the Red/Black version of this for under $300.. I would say that I probably have closer to $425 in this one(That is counting $15 a piece for those Black flex axles that Steve gave me)

5 of those parts are Black 19L flex axles which are near impossible to find and the wheels cost me $50 to get chromed and tinted, plus there are 20+ Black bushings(averaging $1+ a pop) and I don't know how many 3L black friction pins(which are around .20 each now) It would be impossible for the average guy to start from scratch and build this is exact model for under $300... I am going to be very honest, I am disapointed with the 3 main corporations that are gaining exposure from this charity auction as they have not supported me with this...

Lego Technic 2h 2013
Paul Boratko replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I was looking at the 8 tooth gears on the far left side and seen that there was a red one in the middle and at first glance assumed that the axle passing through them was meant to possibly turn a different way, and then seen that there was also one on theo other side(that had 2) and realized that it had to turn the axle... I remember hearing about this as well... Maybe it is just another small pullback..? Didn't someone have a set number for it a few months ago..?- 902 replies

Lego Technic 2h 2013
Paul Boratko replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Those new red gears probably have holes like the 16t clutch gears ... Because even if they were frictionless, they would still turn the axle... Or are they meant to turn the axle..? Nevermind, they must be like this..- 902 replies

Lego Technic 2h 2013
Paul Boratko replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
One thing that I've noticed with all of the 2013 sets(including first half sets) is that none of them are using flexible axles... Some have the flex tubing, but no axles.. I Wonder if Lego is doing away with them for various reasons or if it was just a coincidence that there just wasn't any need for them...- 902 replies
