    Probably because many people just don't appreciate Technic and accept it as actual Lego.. I've been to numerous shows where people will take pictures of everything there and completely pass by the Technic stuff like it is invisible, or make 15 minute long video reviews of a show and for some reason omit the Technic.. I was at a show a few years back and overheard a group of guys discussing about how my models shoudln't be in the main room and instead should be out in the parking lot..

    Is no problem.. Many people didn't see or quite understand what was happening here becasue it was in one smooth motion..

    While not as sophisticated as Pvdb's mechanism here, mine actually has 2 directional movements at the same time.. When the door pivots forward, a tan bevel gear rolls along the turntable changing the door's forward position.. By the way, the Koenigsegg turned out great...! :thumbup:

    Why would Lego release this model with printed camo parts...? You cannot buy this car from Porsche with camo on it.. They only did this at the Toy Fair shows to add a sense of humor to the model and create some hype.. The production model will more than likely be an official Porsche color.. I would have a hard time believing that Porsche would allow Lego to release one of their prestigious cars in a color that they do not produce it in..

    IF this model is based off of the newest Track Porsche 911 GT3 RS, it will definitely not be black..

    The dimensions of this model are nowhere near 1:8 scale..

    That was exactly my thought as well.. There doesn't really look like there is anything to actually "Shift" there..Probably more so of a visual indicator.. Someone mentioned something about a parking brake.. I would say the chances of that are pretty slim considering Lego isn't going to offer any features in this model(or any model) where parts could be broken..

    If I were a spectator at this toy show, the first thing that I would have pointed out to whomever was demonstrating there was that the steering wheel is on upside down.. What is it with Lego and putting the steering wheel on upside down..? Even in the offical pictures and boxart for the creator Ferrari the steering wheel is on upside down.. I was wondering the same thing because the new driving rings take an extra bit of force to engage and disengage and now you would be working 2 at the same time off of one lever..

    That snowmobile hub wouldn't work here as it is only 3L and the space between the steering arms is 5L.. It also wouldn't support this large wheel very well.. This is most likely just the newer style hub from the 42039.. You can even see the DBG pins from it snapped into the wheel.. I would say one of the knuckles is covered by that yellow tile(I am assuming it is attached to it somehow) and you can kind of see a bit of the other one with what looks like a steering link on it.. Or this could be using some type of new similar hub as it also kind of looks like a LBG towball being used.. Perhaps a rear hub modified with parts..? Maybe this is how they attached the tile to represent the caliper..?

    Not sure where you're getting the 8 shocks from, I am just talking about the 4 in the rear.. One on each side would most likely easily hold the body weight, which is why I am assuming that there is some more going on back there..

    You don't think..? It looks like a lot more parts in the rear of the Porsche to me... Just look at all of the stacked liftarms in just the back of it.. There really was no "Back" on the 8070..

    Actually there are quite a lot more body parts in this Porsche model.. The 8070 was pretty simplistic.. Mainly 6 panels in the back and a few flexible axles..

    Even the 8070 didn't need multiple shocks to support the weight of the battery box.. Granted there is a bit more weight in parts in this model.. Too bad those guys couldn't get a pic with the hood in the front open..

    There must be some heavy equipment in the back if it needs 2 shocks on each rear wheel to support it..

    Yeah, this particular Porsche 911 GT3 RS is only rear wheel drive.. These are the 4 colors it comes in.. I am hoping for orange..

    I think the only reason why it is so noticeable is because whomever is taking the pic is kind of crouched down getting an upwards shot.. Probably won't see it at all from a normal view..

    I think that LBG brick is being used to support a kind of air intake piece..

    Perhaps it will come with everything that is needed..? Maybe that is why it is so expensive..? I don't know.. Just spit-balling here.. If this is remote controlled, I can't see them going to radio and the infrared is a poor alternative for a model like that.. The fuel cap was one of the first things that I noticed in the video.. :thumbup:

    What I meant was they might not be directly connected to the gearbox's inner workings, but just may move as a kind of indicator when the gears shift up or down.. Something like one of those knob gears could turn and make it move and then the rubberband returns it..

    If this does in fact turn out to be Remotely Controlled, I would imagine that it will be some type of bluetooth technology.. That would make the most sense and also add some justification to it's heavy price tag..
