Very Cool..! I got to see a module based on this principal in person at Brickfair(I think it was called the multiplex) a few years back.. Yours is completely different though .. Amazing to see 2 completely different approaches on a similar idea... -

[REVIEW] 42050 - Drag Racer

Of all of the car models that Lego has released in the past that have used stickers for headlights, here is one that not only would have probably looked better using them, but would have been closer to the real thing in doing so considering the majority of the real ones use realistic looking vinyl ones.. -

Pretty cool.. I have a new door mechanism for a new model that I had to put on hold a few months back that uses the small turntables as well.. The design and the way they are used is completely different than yours though.. -

I can't wait to see this video that he is going to make of how much of a wanker that you are... I am going to take a wild guess and say this cat is from the U.K. -
[REVIEW] 42048 - Race Kart

Nice review..! Looks like I came pretty close to figuring out how that gearbox worked... It makes more sense to have one ratio 1:1 and the other 3:1 since you can see the speed change much better when it rolls along.. -
I meant that with all of the recent sets in white that I was surprised that part wasn't available in that color, meaning white. I just used a pic of it from bricklink to show what part that I was talking about.. Jim, what do you think the chances of the new Heli having any really great extra part(s) will be..?

According to the description at the Toys R Us website, it does have steering.. Wheelie from the start line to the finish with the high-powered Drag Racer, featuring a vivid-blue and black colour scheme with flame stickers, working steering and a detailed V8 engine with moving pistons. The body shell of this is robust 2-in-1 LEGO Technic model can be lifted to reveal the chassis, exhaust pipes and working transmission. Upgrade with the 8293 Power Functions motor set (not supplied) for motorized driving and wheelie functionality. Rebuild into a Supercharged Dragster for a double build-and-play experience.

I know this isn't built correctly as it is impossible to see what is behind the seat, but this could be the principle behind the 2 speed gearbox.. Also, one of the rear wheels on the Lego model might be a dummy wheel instead of a straight axle.. Forward would be 1st Gear and backwards would be 2nd Gear.. Edit: The short video in the link has sound and is better quality than the gif here... The piston is moving so fast in 1st Gear that the gif frames cannot show it properly.. There is what looks to be a portion of a link of some kind on the opposite side of the seat..
