  1. Maybe these "paddle shifters" just move to simulate gears being shifted through a mechanism connected to some type of remote controlled gearbox in the rear..? Meaning that they really don't do anything other than move when gears are shifted.. That would still be pretty neat..
  2. I guess if they are going to call it 1:10 scale, then they can.. The model to me just looks larger than their previous 1:10 scale cars.. I have a 1:8 scale model Corvette by Revell and it's wheels are roughly the same size as the ones in the 42000..
  3. The wheels on the 42039 are the same scale as the ones on the 8145. They are both 68.8 x 36 The Porsche has tires and wheels the same scale size as the 42000 F1.. The tires are new and lower profile and the wheels are larger on the Porsche.. The tires on the Porsche are 81.6 x 44 and the F1 tires are 81.6 x 36
  4. You mean the Dark Brown ones..? You can also see them in the rear.. I have a few of them..
  5. This model will definitely look better in black as black has a tendency to hide gaps.. Like the ones created with those curved panels..
  6. I wonder if the steering wheel moves forwards and backwards(telescopically) when the driver's door opens and closes..
  7. I don't know who said that, but I would hope that Lego could do far better considering that the designers have all of the resources and technology to design specialized new parts to fit their needs.. I had to work with what was available at the time which was 4 years ago.. I didn't know that I was in a competition with Lego..
  8. I had seen that too, but if models like the 8145 are 1:10 scale, there is no way this can be the same.. This new Porsche is using much larger wheels. This is what I am thinking too..
  9. Yes. The new tire size on this Porsche 81.6 x 44 ZR
  10. Also wondering if indeed there is some paddle shifting system, or if that is just some mechanism for a telescopic steering wheel..
  11. I think he was just referring to the liftarm shaped X in the back..
  12. Those black friction axle pins are kind of expensive though.. Can always cut down the new 3L black axle pins..
  13. The one downfall with these paddle shifters being implemented is that the steering wheel placement is kind of unrealistic.. Agree. A red or Tan interior would look fantastic in this black car..
  14. I wish.. :) I think that you are right..
  15. Was wondering about this as well.. Lego usually doesn't let their models bottom out..
  16. Yes, but it was very easy to get to the steering wheel.. And talking about the steering wheel, is it me or does it seem like it is oddly placed and kind of low..? Look at where the dash is and where the steering wheel is in that side view picture..
  17. First thing that I noticed as well, which leads me to believe that this will be RC..
  18. That is why I was asking.. I wasn't sure why HUW even mentioned it unless there was something on display about it, but it just wasn't there..
  19. So the 42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle is going to be released this summer..?
  20. Fantastic..! You should be very proud of what you have created..!
