  1. I believe that some if not all of the 1H15 technic sets have been put out at Lego Stores, along with City and Creator sets.
  2. A few conclusions I have made: It's a shame that the Protectors aren't named and their bios are generic, but part of me wants to keep it that way. It also mentions in the shared Protector bio that their Elemental Masks are 'passed down from father to son'. The bio for the Skull Spiders also makes me wish the 'green ones' were GitD (to represent the Night Vision). I also like how they have the instructions laid out in the 'Build' section; with each character having both theirs and the combo model's.
  3. I would like to see bigger figures along the lines of Witch Doctor, Scorpio, and the Queen Beast as villains; something to outsize the Masters. Vehicles could also work rather well, as long as it's more substantial then motorcycles...
  4. Yes, my initial thoughts on the new Chima torso were 'Oh, they have a Chi Orb... that's nice... but wait, what happened to all the connections?'. I don't have it in hand, but what I have seen of it has mostly been dissapointment at its lack of utility. IMO, I don't think the 2.0 Torso is overused and still looks great. It looks okay when mixed in with other armor (like how Bionicle is changing it up with both it and the BA torso being used throughout the sets). I am not sure whether I would personally like to see a new torso shell made in the style of old Bionicle, but I have a feeling it might happen down the road. Okay... How about feet? Once again I think that the 2.0 foot piece still looks great and is very useful, but the Protectors are proving that variety is good. What kind of new feet would we get for a Master-sized set, and what kind of feel should they go for?
  5. Ah yes, Trans Bright Green. I don't like how the Protector of Jungle is made up almost entirely of trans bright green shells- and when buy my second Lewa I am definitely slapping the Bright Green shells for the Protector. I will admit that it looks good as his blended mask and they match up super good, just not feeling it with him being trans for the majority.
  6. Yeah, the point is that they're suggestions- so you can view them however you like. And, as suggested earlier, you can easily scrub the print off if you really don't want it.
  7. I would very easily say that they look elemental and fitting. Lewa's reminds me of vines and plantlife, Pohatu's looks like some sedimentary stone (think Southwestern US desert, a Mesa biome in Minecraft), Gali's seems like water teeming with energy and life. Onua's looks like mineral veins in rock, Tahu's looks like a wild and raging fire, and Kopaka's reminds me of stratified imperfections in ice. I can totally understand if you don't see that though. It's not explicitly spelled out and is more of a suggestion, a nudge in the direction. But it's evocative enough to work beautifully.
  8. That's exactly what they're supposed to be- cluttered and abstract (but in a very good way). It doesn't really break up the color schemes and instead seems to bring more to the proverbial table, and gives a visually interesting design to the otherwise smooth and clean CCBS system.
  9. You know what I meant. :P Yes, those comments were mainly based on the numerous times you have pointed out the intricacies of the print (such as the chromed lines and mesh detail). You've pretty much won me over for the next four weeks or so until the sets come out and I have the prints in-hand.
  10. Taking a glance at this Brickset forum topic, there seems to be quite a few methods, including: Brasso Magic Eraser Nail Polish Remover Most of them do damage the bricks somewhat in the process but it hopefully shouldn't be noticeable on the Superhero chests. May I also say that the prints actually look VERY good from what we have seen so far, so I would say to wait until you've sat on the set a while.
  11. I can just picture a Master sliding away from the LOSS... Followed by LOSS doing a road-runner esque cartoon-leg-wheel thing to catch up.
  12. I am pretty sure that we will be seeing 5. Like, 95% sure. And even that 5% is kinda iffy. It's also been discussed that we will more likely then not see Ekimu and Makuta as Protector-esque sets, featuring the Protector of Fire's torso build with a gearbox on the back. (I personally believe that we will see them as a two-pack for $25 and a 'corrupted' large-sized Makuta with the MOuP for $15.)
  13. I do quite like this Lewa. His adrenaline mode is a nice refinement on the 'glider' he had as a Nuva by giving him actual wings and I do quite like it. He isn't perfect (as evident with that neck articulation), but he's still great. Make that a third! The Great Kakama was an amazing mask.
  14. Yes, Ackar's hands! They worked handsomely because more then anything they looked like gloves or gauntlets compared to the rest of him. (Ackar was, imo, the best 'Inika' build we ever got and it's a shame he was made when the brittle joints were an issue.) May I also mention real quick that I would like to see more shells with detail, like how we have some of the different torso shells available with different details.
  15. I'm also hoping that this means that we will see Dark Bley in a summer set. Perhaps even an ultrabuild. *coughUltroncough*
  16. I'm hoping to get Chi Laval and Chi Cragger. So, would the best option to acquire it be Bricklink? I am not sure if international Amazon websites will ship to the US.
  17. Now THAT is a wonderful technique. I'll have to get in touch with any who want to give/sell the hands when they part it out. (I'm sure there will be many who say 'ew Bionicle' and toss it in the trash.)
  18. I would love to see Ice Planet 2002. It was such a creative idea, it had fun colors, and could have a lot of expansion. I can already see them remaking it with a rival faction of alien yetis.
  19. My original idea was that Onua, considering he's the strong one, would simply be able to pick up the Protector of Earth like a weapon. I'm probably gonna do that with mine because it sounds so silly and fun.
  20. I believe that Jungle includes powers over both plantlife and air. He isn't explicitly stated to be the Protector of Air also. I'm not sure which is more stressed out, that second part or me upon seeing that connection. That's certainly a way to ruin your pieces...
  21. I'm going to go ahead with my mod, as I think it will look pretty good, and it will finally give me a use for the torso shell from the Joker ultrabuild.
  22. Love the proportions and shaping. He looks almost knightly, but without bulky and overbearing armor. (My favorite part is the upper torso, it looks so natural). The light-up integration is less of the icing on the cake and more like a wicked awesome birthday candle on the cake.
  23. I am planning to put Breakout torsos on Tahu and Lewa, I had no idea that there were any issues with it and the Superhero chest. I still don't see any issues after sticking them together IRL.
  24. Part of me is really itching to buy two of every set for two sets of those sweet new parts, and I'm not sure how good that impulse will be. He looks amazing, especially with his weapon in that position. Less pepper-mill-y. Looking forward to your review! I've noticed this recently, that CCBS parts seem to be shinier and glossier then normal Lego parts to me. I think it's a slightly different composition then normal CCBS, as mentioned by Darth earlier, for a higher tolerance then normal ABS.
  25. My guess is that the square part next to the ball on the 6-length bone occupies some of the space that is given to the axle on the 4-length bone. That's for stability- without it the armor shells would flop around quite a bit more.
