Yep, I will probably be purchasing the LOSS last. I put some more work into my revamp and I feel that it's coming about great, so what i'm gonna do when I get LOSS is build it per instructions to formulate my own opinions about his build, and promptly stick the printed face onto my revamp while I scrap the rest of his body. I'm also glad to see your Gali review VBBN, you did an excellent job at posing Gali and you've got me sold moreso then I was in the first place. Only 47 days to go!

I've seen a few attempts at it, and while you can do it doesn't mean you should. The wideness looks quite odd to me, and the hips are really far back. Darn, ninja'd by Grima.

I think that her new chin looks more like a train's cow-catcher then anything. I do like her new mask a lot though, it is befitting of the old Kaukau while not having to be oddly translucent.

I'm going to give LOSS a chance. If he is fun I'll keep him together. If not, I already have a CCBS-based revamp in the works.

This Bionicle is chiefly made for NEW fans in mind, not old fans. Especially not old fans who whine about change. (To bring in another Transformers example... 'TRUKK NOT MUNKY' really sticks with me as an example of people who react negatively to change.) Yes, there can be nods and some things carried over from the old story. But if it were exactly the same, it would fail just as the old story did. The new story is bout IMPROVEMENT- finding out what works (island setting, mask flinging) and what doesn't (giant robot universes, needlessly complicated back stories).

I was about to mention this. When I saw that I thought of it as ingenious and it's a shame that it was simply their own mod.

If you pull upwards on the back end it shouldn't come popping off, but only when you push down. I usually move the heads around by grabbing the mask, but I will probably have to find some way to move the head around without ripping the mask off now.

To be honest, I hate the Nuva masks. The Mata masks look far better and I'm glad to see that the newer masks are built upon them.

To clarify, that combiner involves attaching that rocky armor addon to the shoulderpads. It took me a moment to see that.

I could have sworn that we had seen these before, but I guess not.

As far as I know they are already available in some Chima sets. Okay, I checked and it is available in Trans Neon Orange in 70207 Chi Cragger and 70208 Chi Panthar.

I was hoping that the mask tightness would be tweaked before final release. If not then, there is a chance that there might be a running variant. I have a feeling that the light piping not working perfectly is because you need to insert that opaque axle to hold it in place.

Everytime I see the MoUP power I can only think of one thing: Vultraz's mask with an anime-esque evil flame.

I bet that these (gorgeous) boxes pop open at the top, as I don't really see how they'd open from the side. I'm also glad to see that I was wrong in my idea that they are modified versions of the Speedorz packaging.

Norik's arbitrary exclusivity was dumb. I would rather have them packaged together in one set as two exclusives (ala Mutran and Vican) and have a seperate possessed Makuta (ala the rest of the Phantoka).

how to connect lego head accessories to stud
TheDesuComplex replied to mrbean's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Part 33291 (The Stud Flower) can accept plume connections. -
A bit off-topic, but those sets were awesome in the short term, but in the long term I had too much trouble with the boxes. When I had my idea I was thinking something more along the lines of the Slizer canisters: a rectangular box that could slide open. Thank you Lyichir, I had forgotten about the recent initiative. To be honest I do not like canisters, but my idea was based on the idea of special-edition-ness and that it might be a nice nod to previous Bionicle series. I still might make 'tombs' for them myself.

Yes, I know we haven't seen canisters for three years now and it's a dumb idea. If they do elaborate on it in-story could serve as some sort of role-play element and go along with the 'special edition' feel of the sets though.

I would think to release the larger possessed Makuta with the MoUP, since that is what got him into this mess in the first place. I just had an idea- since Ekimu and Makuta could be released as special editions, I would like to see them in canisters reminiscent of the 'coffins' in the concept art.

I was crossing my fingers that I would be able to find some half-off once Bionicle came. It's a shame, and I think that Lego sets that retire less then 6 months after release are a rarity.

It's funny, I was just about to ask the same question. Thanks for asking it Shakar... and thanks for answering Aanchir! Could you perhaps post a picture of how it looks?

I have the same plans. I've already set aside some money, and if I aquire any during the holidays it will be going into my 'Bonkle fund'. Anyone already planning on buying multiples of some sets? I will probably be buying a second Lewa right off the bat, maybe a second Onua. My ideal route if they do connect it using the Vahi is to release the 'top half' in the main baddie set and re-release the 'bottom half' (the old mold) with a set called 'Vezon the Wanderer', this Vezon being the same Vezon from the original story somehow bringing the 'bottom half' to Okoto during his dimension hopping adventure. I would like to see the top half be a full mask on its own with a part that the original Vahi can peg onto. That's my best-case scenario if they do connect the stories, but I personally hope that they don't touch upon the old story at all or make any sort of connection.

Yeah, I think the azure looks great. I already started planning my mods around her using Mata Blue though. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

Gali uses dark azure plates? I have been terrible at figuring these colors out. Oh well, regular blue seems to go pretty well with it anyway.
