I've been told on multiple occasions over multiple days, by multiple staffers, both in person and over the phone, that the London Leicester Square store *will* be opening at midnight - the Falcon will be on sale, and the designers will be present to do signings. The one part they've been unsure on is how long they will be open - I've been told until 6am, and I've also been told for one hour only. Though I've also been told that's not fully decided yet.

[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017
Mr Hobbles replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was told today at the Leicester Square store that they'll be having a midnight opening, with the set designer there to sign copies (which you buy on the spot and take away), on Sept 14th. -

£650?! I was not expecting that, I was expecting £750. I'm sold! Promobricks.de has the pics (Brickset hasn't put them up yet) - it's beautiful.
-
I plan to also build a coffee table for it, with three T-70 X-Wing's in flight formation with it (2x grey/blue normal ones, and Poe Dameron), as a Force Awakens post-Starkiller Base destruction fly away scene. :)

It's a £339 difference? Edit: I see what you mean now. Well, we know that this will cost $799 US. Also the Winter Village Train Station, which was only announced last week, is $79.99 US. It's also £74.99 UK, and €69.99 Euro. So, based on this, I'm predicting £749/€699.

Holy crap love everything. This is everything I ever wanted. 4x ESB minifigs in (what looks like) breathing apparatus gear - Leia, Han, Chewie and C-3PO, along with a Mynock. 4x TFA minifigs - Han, Rey, Finn, BB-8, with two Porgs. Removable radar dish in old circular or new rectangular configurations. Interior of at least 4 rooms with corridors between them. Chess table confirmed! I MUST HAVE THIS. It's not a day 1 purchase though, I'm waiting for a double VIP points weekend. I'm still predicting a $799/£749/€699 price tag, extrapolating up from the price of Winter Train Station (Just x10 all the numbers) and the leaked $799 US price.

I bet there's penalty clauses in whatever supplier contracts are in place, so there's no need to sue/go to court.
-
Winter Village Station is $79.99US/$119.99AUD. It was announced last week. Given this, and that we know the Falcon will retail at $799.99US, I predict the AUD price to be $1,199.99.

And the new 2x2 corner tiles with the corner cut off, as used in Assembly Square. I'm going with legit on this one.

I like it, it's cute and cosy. But, what's with that UK pricing? It's like the UK and Euro pricing has been flipped.

Thanks - I did find that confusing as everything else from the track itself to the track connection wire is available in bley, just not the controller. I guess I'll have to live! :)

Hi, I've been picking up 9v stuff slowly in order to make all my train stuff 9v, but the colour is important with me - I never liked the "old" gray and instead am moving everything to bluish grey. While it seems that everything from track to the power connector is available, I can't find any 9v train controllers where the base is bluish grey. Did Lego ever make any of these? Cheers!

I think (and also hope) that the Roborace "Robocar" will be part of the Speed Champions 2018 line up. Why? Well, all the promotional photos of the car show the Lego Speed Champions logo at the rear of the car. See their website: http://roborace.com

2017 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Mr Hobbles replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Town
I'm hoping that the Lego Speed Champions logos I see plastered all over the Roborace cars lead to a Roborace set. Perhaps a set with both Robocar and DevBot 01. That would be excellent. -
Yep, it's dead (I mean, the rumours were pretty solid). E3 is done with no new content. :( I suspect, and it's partially driven by a sliver of hope, that they might go out with a Lord Vortech pack of some sort as a good bye "Wave 10". But I'm not holding out hope.

LEGO Dimensions Physical Brick Discussion
Mr Hobbles replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Licensed
Story packs don't come with the ToyPad, just the portal build to place on top of the one that comes with the starter pack. As for other uses, I use mine to control my Philips Hue light bulbs in my house. ;)- 527 replies

I actually really like it. I think it's cute, and fits in well with the winter village theme. With a 9v motor it'd look great going round the bottom of my Christmas tree and the rest of the winter village.

Lego has a history of doing this. Every year. Sets like the Taj Mahal and Millenium Falcon go for thousands. They could very easilly do this with Lego Dimensions too. All they need to do is keep coming out with new characters that fulfil the same in-game abiiilties as the older ones, so that people could still get to those bits.
-
Looking at the streams of the Ghostbusters Story Pack, it looks like when you place down the minifig, three appear on screen that you can change between? This is a first? Normally all playable characters have an associated physical minifig?
-
Yep, it's basically half a traditional Lego game in terms of content, with a build and figures to go with. Pricing is already available, it's $49.99, and up on Amazon. :)
-
So, this sounds like it does mean that Green Lantern and Supergirl are event exclusives, or going to come as part of a new starter as mentioned before.
-
Wait. The teaser has Batman uttering the words "What took you so long". Could this mean, something like, Marvel or Star Wars? Is that possible? So soon after Disney Infinity? In context of the teaser it would make sense - people have been clamoring for those since day 1. I'm still skeptical, but...maybe...?

My predictions for Lego Dimensions year 2: Pretty confident: 1. Lego Minecraft. 2. Lego Nexo Knights 3. Lego Star Wars OR Lego Marvel Regarding number 3 above, I think this year Disney Infinity will focus on something other than Star Wars, given that the new movie will have been released. If there is new Star Wars Disney Infinity next year, it'll be either more Force Awakens or Rogue One related, so I think Lego Dimensions will have classic Star Wars (I don't think Disney will want Infinity competing directly with Dimensions, but they'd also be stupid to pass up the opportunity given how successful Lego Star Wars is. So they may alternate the IP's). Long shots, but would be cools: 1. Lego City Undercover (A SINGLE fun pack containing Chase McCain and maybe a police car) 2. Lego Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (But I think its unlikely, given that as far as I know there are no more Lego sets on the horizon). 3. Lego Harry Potter, or perhaps this will have to wait until the Fantastic Beasts movies come out. 4. Lego Friends...maybe?! A bit of a strange clash of minifigure types, and tones in the game.
