  1. I find that criteria the best value set you can get from Ninjago, too. I hope they do more sets like Dawn of Iron Doom. I mentioned this several times.. that for my personal taste, I rather have more playsets than vehicles because over the span of 6 years (2011 to 2016) there is a big chance that a young collector (or even an adult collector) will have a variety of vehicles that has similar designs already. They practically recycle the template for 3-wheel motorbike, smaller scale motorcycle, big 4-wheeler vehicle, helicopter and jet fighter. I really hope they try out other design or limit the recycling to 1-2 vehicles per wave only to make the vehicles more interesting. I think Destiny's Shadow is definitely outside those template vehicles so that's also something I want to get once it is available in my region.
  2. I say we just continue the game and ignore the wrong hints because the game is between you and those who wants to play the game anyway... after all, without us knowing that your list is 100% correct, you saying that it's not speculation is still a speculation unless proven otherwise.... and proving yourself "100% correct" doesn't count.
  3. I think it's not even canon from the moment it was aired so Alderaan is still destined to blow up... speaking of Alderaan, I was hopping that Bail Organa would say he will go to another planet so that there is still a chance he escaped somehow... but of course he will be in Alderaan. That's the thing about the uncanny valley. If you don't know you are watching a dead person reanimated on-screen there is a much bigger chance you won't notice it or the effect is less jarring. On my first viewing the fact that the actor is already dead didn't sink in to me because of how "almost perfect" the rendering is. What gave away that it is just CGI is the slightly bad lip sync with the dialogue.
  4. First time seeing this post. I voted for Exo-suit. I miss the classic space theme.
  5. Funny that you mentioned that about Han. On the other side of the spectrum, Chewie was supposedly much nicer. You should watch the Holiday Special! There are some videos on Youtube showcasing the scenes and dialogues that didn't make the final cut of Rogue One. The tone is slightly different and whether it is due to reshoots or intentional to hide the true plot -- I like to know what changed.
  6. Just curious -- did you know the actor (Peter Cushing) who played Tarkin is already dead?
  7. Looking at the sets marked as "Retail-Limited" ... it could mean different things. The set could be limited to certain retail shops only like the LEGO shop and LCS (LEGO Certified Store) exclusive or partner exclusive (Target, Walmart, TRU). TRU Bricktober, the latest modular building (i.e. Brick Bank) and IDEAS fall under this category. For the general sets currently on sale - I can see why some Star Wars sets are marked as 'retail limited' because not all toy shops that usually carry LEGO sets have them at this time. Most likely due to limited supply for the time being, or regional release strategy. I am also puzzled why LEGO choose to release the sets at different timing but the most logical reason is the supply chain network bottleneck. For example the 2017 Star Wars sets are already available in EU, Australia, Malaysia and some other parts of Asia now... but not yet in the US. The other items such as magazine gifts that comes in foil packs -- I think the reason why they are marked as retail-limited is because not all the LEGO magazines are distributed worldwide and very limited to bigger markets only. So yeah.. not a very specific answer but I think you can break it down to 3 sub-categories of "limited release".
  8. That's even better since I BL'ed the minifigs from Samurai X Cave Chaos and I didn't get Sensei Wu.
  9. I watched the vid earlier this morning and it amazes me how The Star Wars Rebels acts like a creative sandbox for the story writers and creative directors. As for Forest Whitaker's resemblance... some would argue it's not like him... but if you refer to the younger Saw in Rogue One, it looks like him. I think people remember the older and crazier version of him.
  10. I'll be picking up this set... one question: is there anything new in Sensei Wu's torso print?
  11. We've been pampered with 30-50% discount... for more than 2 months now, it's hard to return to RRP. Just wait for the Rooster CNY promotion. :)
  12. Wookieepedia won't mention that because no one knows... except the script writers and Lucasfilm's story team. They have more reason not to tell so that we need to watch Star Wars Rebels. :)
  13. Is it the first time Australia and Asia is ahead of schedule in getting Star Wars sets?
  14. Season 7 trailer in Youtube... (thought there is something new here... but it's the same as the one at LEGO.com)
  15. I will choose 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle marginally over 75150 Darth Vader's TIE Advanced vs A-Wing. I just find 75156 more bang-for-the-buck because on mass alone you'll get 30% more ABS plastic on 75156. I'm basing that from the set's overall shipping weight. There is plenty of opportunity to get Vader from other sets if you want Vader's new headpiece mold. In contrast, the Imperial Shuttle has K-2SO and that alone is a big counterpoint. The set is also quite big with its wings unfolded. I don't think "dull" is the best word to describe a ship begging to be displayed with a stand.
  16. Thanks for the info @Klaus-Dieter - intentional or not intentional. @Itaria No Shintaku thanks for confirmation.... So 12 more to go.
  17. 70751 Temple of Airjitzu The minifigures and the enjoyable build is just too hard to resist. After this I had bought other sets above 100 USD.
  18. Thanks for the link @Oky I saw it the other day and I thought it was very well executed. Rebels Recon in Star Wars Youtube channel kind of hinted there will be elements of Rogue One in the next season of Star Wars Rebels. :)
  19. The new Phantom can connect to the Ghost but it sticks out like a sore thumb. Way out out of proportion... and while the effort is commendable, I wish the designer just made it smaller because the set won't perfectly resemble the model anyway.
  20. Great review and lots of pictures to illustrate the details. For me, the most interesting components in this set is the blacksmith workshop. The dragons... not so much. We've seen so many dragons already and the techniques used here are combinations of all those dragons we've seen previously --not that it is a bad design, but seeing how good the blacksmith workshop is, I would personally prefer if this is just a more detailed building / playset. For the price point I think it is already a good deal. Like others have mentioned this set looks good next to Temple of Airjitzu.
  21. You may know something that we don't know yet... are you confirming another Battle Dwarf and a Hotdog Seller?
  22. The door leads to troop transport to carry the orange crates so by right ships are not expected to fit.
  23. You're totally right. I don't know what the designers were thinking when they made it possible to attach to Ghost even if the scale is totally off... was it just coincidence that it fits?
  24. Looking forward to see what's new there.
