  1. Not this.. the title is a misnomer. The topic you can post spoiler is the one I linked below... And better use spoiler tags to hide any because even browsing casually in "all activity" stream will reveal post snippets so people might still read spoilers by accident if not hidden.
  2. I don't think there is a way around it unless you want to make your minifigures look like giraffe.
  3. I watched the movie 2 times already. Without spoiling anyone... the order is wrong.
  4. I feel the same way but the market dictates the direction of the product. As long as costumed minifigures are selling like hot pancakes we'll see many of them. I bet if TLG release a costumed CMF series it will be the best CMF series of all time... But then the novelty value may wear off too quickly. Regarding Doctor vs Chef... After reading between the lines it could be Doctor... Because if it is Chef then Itaria could have confirmed it already...right?
  5. Thanks. I'm the one who requested to check those armours. The last picture -- it is covers the lower part if the head quite a bit... So I think many helmets wi be incompatible with the armour.
  6. What are you doing here @VaderFan2187 ! Go watch the movie.
  7. For #3, I use the Minifigure Year by Year Visual History book and Bricklink as reference. Since 80's I found that we have mostly Doctor (41), Driver (26), Worker (49), Fire Chief/Firefighter (100+), Pilot (60+), Postman (10+), and Chef (30+) in Town/City. I'm counting Surgeon as Doctor in S6 and Race Driver as Driver in S3. We also had Pilot in S3 and there are so many worker-type CMFs.... Since Postman didn't reach the 25 minifig count, I'll discard it. So between Firefighter and Chef, I think it is Chef as it is closer to 25 minifig count, and Firefighter was already mentioned not in S17.
  8. I've been reporting spam since I joined here and that's not new at all. When I am active I can easily spot spam under 2 minutes of them posting so maybe they don't live long enough to be seen by many... However there are days that I forget to check "all activity" but when I do remember I try to spot as many spams as I can. I'm sure moderators actively monitor those... but it's a reactive measure. If there is an opportunity to crowdsource spam deletion, I'm sure there is a script out there that can hide/delete topics once it reached a threshold (e.g. 5 reports) because I've came across something similar years ago when I was still active on being forum admin-- if many trusted spam reporters submits a report then mods don't need to do mundane task of deleting them one by one.
  9. A food costume that is not meat nor fish - so anything vegan like fruit, vegetable or a dessert. Hmmm.... Carrot, Froyo, Ice Cream, Cheese or even Bread like croissant?
  10. I thought I saw a similar thread before -- check this topic: Even though it has a similar title, that topic is all about building LEGO to combat depression, anxiety, stress, etc. The fact that you are open to share your condition is a good start because keeping this to yourself alone won't help. Keep yourself surrounded by people that inspire and brighten your day. Join an activity group - maybe a LEGO User Group if you are not yet part of any. Hope that you will start building again soon!
  11. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realise that this set is geared towards building houses and buildings.
  12. I just crossed 1,000 milestone a week ago... I'm not trying to set any record but those exceeding 6 digits may want to check this topic --
  13. When someone gets the villains with new armour could someone please try it out with diffferent helmets. I'm concerned that the neck area is a bit high for some helmets and even hair piece.
  14. It does not have to make sense to us because we don't know the decision factor that led up to making the Quadjumper in the first place. It had very little screentime -- and if that's the only factor then it had more screentime than the FO Snowspeeder -- so anything will make sense if you look at it that way. As for the minifigures, Rey, Finn and BB-8 ran towards it in the movie so they are the only characters that register in my mind that could be included. Maybe adding an FO Stormtrooper is just a bonus... and they can change the minifigs line up at the last minute before production. Having said that.... ....I second this.
  15. I'm confused when you say hip plating. You are referring to the kuzasuri or the thigh covers / guards, right? Nya had those for all Samurai X variants but of course they don't have side printing so it does not wrap around the hips. If it will be a cloth with printing that would make it more interesting. It is also a call-back to Nya's roots as Samurai X and it is great to see her get that easter egg if you can call that an easter egg.
  16. Is there any Star Wars set that references Aunt Beru's blue milk?
  17. Just watched the movie... It's the most beautiful Star Wars movie not only because they have a beach filmed in Maldives but because the cinematography is excellent and there are lots of morally grey areas that will make you question if you are rooting for the good guys. Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot... As for the spoilers... I really like how it ties into Episode IV I'll watch it again tomorrow
  18. Even though it looks like it's the future It's really a long, long, time ago... So they don't even have a fast internet then to shop online.
  19. Samurai armour?? I didn't see any hint of samurai armour from what I have seen in the calendar, even if I have seen the HD image
  20. You can say that to all the villains ever released by LEGO... specially Joker who is a psychopath. To support your argument, I think that Moe should have been made in Simpsons S2 if March Harriet is the benchmark. It was a missed opportunity. The good thing is that we have another bunny costumed minifig... isn't that more important?
  21. Hello. Welcome to Eurobricks. It's interesting how narrow or broad the answer to you questions can be... and there are lots of questions but let me share my experience getting back to LEGO after my dark age. First, I started with minifigures because I travel around so my main collection are CMF but as much as I can, I don't buy the entire series. Also due to space constraints I need to focus on something so I decided that for sets - I'll get only Star Wars for licensed theme and Ninjago for non-licensed (action) theme. I do get other themes like City and Creator during clearance to part out interesting parts and set aside some common parts for creating MOC. Also due to space limitation, I have a list of priority sets that I wish to buy even without discount. Then there are sets that I will only buy if there is a promotion to get a better value. Lately I decided not to purchase any Ninjago vehicles again because it's getting repetitive.. so I just Bricklink the minifigs or source them from my local hobby shops. If it's not a playset, I just don't buy the sets. For Star Wars, I kinda went the opposite direction because I didn't have much spaceships for MOC so I bought the ships with the most screentime from the movies because I know I can use them for MOCs over and over again. For collecting, my ultimate goal is to complete all the Ninjas from the classic Castle Ninja line, and then Ninjago. I already have the up-to-date collection of Ninjago characters and I am only getting the classic Ninjas next year. For Star Wars, I collect droids and astromech. Once I complete them, I will move to Jedi & Sith -- seeing that this is an ever-green theme I just want to get the best version of every Jedi and Sith possible, so I am not in a hurry to buy them all now.
  22. I have 6879 and it is one of my favourite set growing up. I have lots of fun swooshing that Blizzard Baron.
  23. Thanks for the link... If that is a give away store freebie then I suppose someone will get a better picture of that.. right now, I can hardly see any details except the weapons and colours of their gi.
