I think this will be a big test how the CMF fanatics will respond to carrot and stick situation. I have to blame those mascots for really jacking up the prices of those minifigures deemed "rare" even if they are not. It is going to be interesting if Malaysia prices will follow the percent increase in Singapore because that's a whooping 44% increase in retail price which is just insanely high. UK only had 20% increase so I hope Malaysia will follow the lower percentage increase.

I have to Google what a Highwayman is... and I see the possibility. However, I also see that it may have a beard or neck accessory on top of the epaulet/shoulder pads... So pirate captain could be possible too.

They could have easily merged the latest episode with the Holocrons of Fate Episode but I think the writers needed to separate them to show more character development. As this season is supposed to focus more on Sabine's character I am pleased that... I'm excited for the 2nd half on season 3 because by the time SW Rebels resume many people have seen Rogue One -- and there could be more easter eggs or direct connections linking the movie and the TV series together because we know both Rogue One and SW Rebels happen at around the same time. Looking forward to 2017!

Sensei Wu doesn't look any different from the Sensei Wu that we know... hopefully it's a good sign that the rest of Ninjago characters will be very recognisable from the TV show as well.

It is indeed interesting how the equal distribution of each minifigure will affect the "rarity" of each minifigures. I have the 4 minifigures you mentioned as my top picks as well. Hopefully it won't be a very limited release so there won't be mass hysteria of collectors looking for these.

I just can't grasp why is this even a product. Even if the argument is that it is collectible, isn't it more fitting to add those kinds of 'most wanted shields' in a smaller sets to pull in more people to buying "starter packs" so that subsequently they can be more invested in the theme and buy more NK sets? To give you a scenario -- If I introduce my kids to play the game/app -- then do I really need to buy more shield packs so that my kids will enjoy it? Granted it is not necessary so that the game won't be restrictive then I just don't see how buying more shield packs is going to enhance their Nexo Knights experience either online or offline. That said, I hope TLG has a really good plan to use this product to widen the customer base... because if it flop then they have to try another gimmick to lengthen the app's shelf life....

So the content of the blind bags are several Nexo Knights shield? How would that help to sell the sets line up or monetise the app?

I totally missed out that those are all Pokemon references... not that I am paying enough attention to Nexo Knights anyway. However, if they ever take your name suggestion for plant monsters that would be so amusing as I think plant monsters will be far more interesting than lightning rock monsters.

Maybe they have listed it prematurely? It's not like it would impact the sales of other sets or affect holiday buying? Very odd indeed. No news when will 2017 sets will appear in my region but I already saw some people in Hong Kong posting pictures of 2017 sets.

I have a bunch of the generic Ewok soldiers... and like you said, it won't work if they just put the same Ewoks previously released. They can do a different printing or colour, it they do release that.

It's about time they put more details to City minifigures.

From the title I thought it was a request to post spoilers. Turns out to be the opposite. I think until the end of the year is fair enough. From next week I will not visit any Star Wars thread just to avoid any spoilery hints of any plot twist... If there's any.

I thought it was just a joke when someone mentioned there is a thread just for complaining about the price of Star Wars sets... For as long as I remember LEGO sets had always been labeled as overpriced plastic toy and the only time it is called cheap is when there is clearance sales. Maybe Star Wars is just more visible because it is becoming more mainstream again.

I think this is true for most Asian market since there is no S@H in Asia except Korea... so maybe Korea is the closest reference that we can get aside from Australia. Having said that, majority of the people I know refer mostly to US and UK market as indicator that the sets had been truly retired, whether it is Star Wars sets or something else.

The answer to that is probably due to having so many variations of the troopers now. We have OT, First Order, and all the other troopers in Rogue One. Disney is even pushing Death Troopers so hard that they put them on all the toy labels as art header. Maybe they look cool but for all we know they could just be just a one-off gig and may never be seen again. So while we get 2 regular Storm Troopers and 2 Death Troopers in the upcoming battlepacks, TLG can do better with a higher Storm Trooper ratio. I don't even think Shore Troopers are necessary as the Sand Troopers would be just fine if not more suitable for the same task, so it's good that they put them in the Battle of Scarif set.
