All 2017 Ninjago sets should be discussed in one thread regardless if they are for movie or tv. There is a lot of repeated back and forth references to the tv sets and movie sets and if we have 2 different topics it is going to be confusing. Right now with the state of the topics I can't remember which Ninjago thread I posted. Movie discussion should remain in the media forums.

You're right. Even though I don't agree it is the best choice of music, the song gives the vibe that there is going to be lots of action.

That is indeed strange. Star Wars Rogue One and LEGO Batman movie sets came out in advance before the movie. Why is this not a thing with Ninjago? Is that only for the US/EU, @Itaria No Shintaku ?

I can't find any word related to high school in that synopsis anymore. Maybe they changed the tone of the movie to really focus more on the action? It's good to know that there will be spinjitzu.

Definitely a better facial expression for Lloyd. The environment in the second picture looks awesome. Hopefully we can see the trailer soon.

It has something to do with the branding and the line of toys that TLG planned in the LEGO movie cinematic universe... Besides name recognition, I also don't know what motivated TLG to change familiar characters. While I welcome "Re-imagined" version I don't believe it has to be far off from original.

This statement does not confirm nor debunk any rumour... So calm down everyone. All this reinforced is that the Snowspeeeder UCS is confirmed. That's about it.

Why are so many fixated about the face and hair? I appreciate the first look at these characters. The trailer that will come out soon will give us a better insight of each character so apart from the news article I think that we have to see what they would look like in the sets before bashing the dead horse out these crazy faces and hair styles.. or not.

I am not interested with the scale of the tank. For all we know most people will buy the set just for Aayla. Also, the Republic Tank is not memorable vehicle (neither significant) in my opinion so I am glad that it is downsized. If someone is interested to make an army of clones with tanks then this version will be cheaper due to smaller scale. That's how I see it... So it's all good IMHO.

I welcome all those new hairpieces. Zane is kinda creepy but that's expected of a nindroid... right? I'm sure those facial expressions are just in the movie. I hope they don't look too emo on the actual minifigure.

Garmadon's helmet is a big improvement. The cloth piece around his neck also adds more flair to the character.

That's good news indeed. The local pricing here in Asia is rather good as well. I do hope the next wave will be as reasonable as those Rogue One sets.

Supposedly, the Ninjago movie.

Based on the box placeholder, it appears that there will be 20 unique minifigures in the Ninjago Movie CMF series just like in the Batman LEGO Movie CMF series.

So the same big cat mould will be use for panther and leopard. After looking at the Fun at the Beach, I didn't feel the same excitement as the Fun at the Park.... maybe it will grow on me. Right now, I am more interested on the big cats in the Jungle Explorer subtheme.

It seems that the ninja head wrap will be different. I also like that black is more predominant in the colour scheme.

That's TR-8R on the First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack... and Darth Vader Transformation set looks like how I imagined it. :)

The eyebrows of that black ninja makes be think it's not Nya or Cole because I can't see any eye lashes or bushy eyebrows. It's closer to Jay or Lloyd... but it could anyone if they changed a lot of the familiar character's facial features in the movie.

To answer your question, ask why they should not? If they can sell the more expensive sets to filthy rich people they can also sell the more affordable sets to the less affluent people. If you can't find the link, it will be circulated in Facebook sooner or later. On the advent calendar-- while we have not seen the entire lineup yet it's also fair to say TLG has always put the highlight of the advent calendar on the cover so I highly doubt there is more interesting minifigure left to be revealed.

Finally a word from the one with the list. Granted you don't see the speculated minifigs in your list from what you hinted previously, mind if you share what is your confidence level that your list is correct?
