Is that a new vertical stabilizer piece on the A-Wing and the Hammerhead? Also, looking at the set with "Dengar", it appears the vehicle has a space between the cockpit and forward section, like the new Batwing; a space that could possibly lead to the set being construed as a podracer? There is a superficial resemblance "from a certain point of view" IMO.

Yes, but the spring loaded shooters are clearly visible on the X-Wing, the two unknown ships, and Vader's TIE.

442 is just the default, it looks like all a couple of those sets have 442 pieces. Also, seems a bit strange that the A-Wing wouldn't have any sort of shooters, whether they be spring or stud.

Lovin' these! Quite bodacious. The Manta ray is especially endearing. Reminds me of a Klingon Bird of Prey (maybe cuz I was watching The Voyage Home last night, but ya never know).

Love it! The forward vanes are my favorite part. I actually have a half-finished version of this at my Lego table.... you beat me to it! The visual dictionary is chock-full of cool stuff waiting to be MOCed. Keep up the good work!

On the Aftermath train of thought- Dengar did appear in Aftermath, in one of the interlude chapters. These sets may also tie into the second Aftermath book, Life Debt, which is coming out in the summer, which would be concurrent with these sets. Perhaps Dengar will make a return appearance? Also, Life Debt appears to deal with Han and Chewie, so even more reason to see a bounty hunter such as Dengar (whose old EU Han Solo hatred may carry over to the new canon) in the book? Also, we kinda sorta already have an Aftermath set, since Snap from the Force Awakens is apparently Temmin (according to the Visual Dictionary). Also: love that X-Wing! Better colors, and the for ward wings now have the correct straight leading edge.

Don't narrow your field of hype too much, I'm sure Lego will do plenty of other cool sets beyond the UCS spectrum for the 40th Anniversary. If we just got a UCS Lars Farm I could die happy.

I used to only dabble in Ninjago, but that's already changed thanks to this coming wave. Thanks for the review (as if I needed any more reason to buy this set!)

+1 +1 At that price, it's a very good source of parts, and the figures are pretty good. Picking up a couple on discount would make up for the microfighter snowtrooper not having his skirt.

Awesome story and build, but you should really consider consulting a Eurobricks Flickr tutorial so that you can have the pictures mixed in with the text and thus making an awesome story even better.

The new FO Snowspeeder microfighter. Pretty nifty, though the lack of skirt is pretty ridiculous.

Maybe someone has already said this, but what if the Turbo Tank is a Rebels set? After all, we are getting a AT-TE Rebels set, maybe a Turbo Tank will feature in a future episode of Rebels? Just speculating. Also, any word on Rebels Mandalorian sets?!?
