  1. Coolio! Maybe post some pics in a more.... pedestrian lighting?
  2. Darn! Really need those R4 pieces in sand green.
  3. Incredible. You really hit this thing on the head when it comes to scale. Actually, you hit this thing on the head with regards to all of it! I've got the official version on the way for Christmas, but I think I'll just use the parts to build a model similar to your version . Real shame this wasn't in the movie more. Besides the scale accuracy, I think my favorite part would have to be the brick-built turret. Just plain awesome, man! You've set a high standard for all future MOCs of the FO snowspeeder.
  4. What's this Evrana I keep hearing about? Is it the proper name for Maz Kanata's castle? EDIT:
  5. The "smuggling compartment" in the new Millennium Falcon?
  6. Holy cannolis! Incredible! There's just so much goodness going on here. Color selection is especially tasty (Sand green! Sand blue!). The thrusters at the back are especially well done, with the handles. Clever use of hinge bricks to achieve those fine angles. Is it a render? Those R4 cones in sand green are unfamiliar, which makes me think it's a render. But seriously, are those sand green R4 cones and sand green textured 2x2 round bricks for real?
  7. Awesome! Shaak Ti headpiece, or new one? Inquisitors? Set List?!?
  8. Yeah, I felt weird about the face before seeing the movie, but after seeing it I think it's spot on!
  9. Yeah, I'm in a pretty Imperial/FO mood at the moment as well!
  10. I think if you post it people will start to care
  11. A couple variations I whipped up. TLG-style (meh): TLG Style by Junior Shark, on Flickr W/ Stand (Not too fond of this one, stand is way out of scale): Weird Stand by Junior Shark, on Flickr My fave: Heavy Gunner by Junior Shark, on Flickr I like how the upturned grip serendipitously resembles the scope (?) on the real version. The picture doesn't do it 100% justice, I recommend building it in real life to give it a spin. Group by Junior Shark, on Flickr
  12. I'm more partial to the space ostrich.
  13. It looks like you may be able to mix the torsos and legs from this set with the Rebel commandos from 75094. I don't have either of these sets, so am I crazy or not?
  14. I guess Boba's clone head isn't unprecedented... the one version we got of him in 2015 had a clone head as well.
  15. Awesome build! The B-wing is a beast, and Lego still hasn't made a stellar version of it (the 2006 version comes closest, IMO). You managed to nicely fit the more important details in a small package, so props to you. My only gripe with this is the guns on the nose(?). They come out too far. It looks as if they should be tucked under the cockpit. Other than that, terrific!
  16. Find a copy of the Force Awakens Cross-Sections book. This Transport is one of the vehicles cross-sectioned. It shows the pilot as a helmet-less Resistance trooper. FWIW, I think I'll just take your idea and stick that Gray Squadron pilot in there. Maybe stick his helmet on a Resistance trooper body?
  17. Thanks for that interview! Interesting read, and it blows my mind that Vizago is in The Dark Knight!
  18. Yeah, the lightsaber duel was waaay better than any of the PT. It had more emotion in it than any of the ones in 1, 2, or 3. Yes, there was "emotion" in the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel, but there was also a trip down a lava river, about three minutes of air-fives, and lots of spinning. The duels in the prequels are a visual spectacle (Yoda and Sidious destroying a giant room, Yoda jumping all around Dooku, Darth Maul destroying two Jedi with his double-bladed lightsaber), where the ones in the OT & TFA are about the characters. The PT duel that gets closest to that is the Phantom Menace duel, IMO. As for the whole New Republic thing, I think people were getting too cush with the old EU and how everything was explained, from the character you saw for less than one second to why the movies even happened because of events set in motion two thousand years before Phantom Menace to Palpatine and Plagueis actually being the cause for Anakin's birth . For me, it's refreshing. We've cast off the detritus that was a lot of the old EU. Uncharted Star Wars waters! Rest assured, all questions will be answered in time.
  19. But why lie about it? IMO, that plays right into the idea that AFOLs are weird, adult-children. There are definitely weirder hobbies to lie about than Lego. Look, if adults can collect superhero toys and not get a second look, then we can collect Lego and not get second looks, by Jove!
  20. After watching the movie, the stud shooters on Poe's X-Wing make more sense. After all, It makes sense that kids would wanna re-enact that with the set. Also, I think the minifigure selection in the First Order BP may be to help people recreate this scene.
  21. Just ask for gift receipts! ;) Sure, I've felt judged once or twice, but like many have said, it's just another hobby. Heaven knows other people have weirder hobbies.....
  22. As for confusion over the New Republic, take a trip to your local bookseller and consult the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary. Actually an awesome read!
  23. Yeah, the scale seems really accurate to me as well! The only accuracy problem I can see with this set is it's color. It was light gray with blue striping is the movie.
  24. I don't own this set, but just by eyeballin' the pics it looks like it could probably fit the extra figs, IMO. Here's hoping!
