  1. You're so right about that banner! What set did it come in? The turbo laser is surprisingly cool. That said, I'm gonna combine the turbos from two sets to make a larger, Death Star trench-esque one.
  2. Yeah, I found the battle packs in Target and Walmart. Colorado Springs, Colorado. I didn't think to check Barnes & Noble, I'll try that today.
  3. Recent purchase? 1x each of the TFA BPs. Location: Colorado Springs, CO, USA! Suck it Brits! Boston Tea Party 2.0! image1 by Junior Shark, on Flickr
  4. Visit your local bookseller: the shuttle is in the cross-sections book!
  5. Suck it UK! Colorado Springs, Colorado: TFA BPs @ Target & Battlefront BPs @ Walmart. This, plus two showings of TFA in one day? *Maniacal Cackling * image1 by Junior Shark, on Flickr
  6. What wiki? Wookieepedia? Definitely doesn't say it on Wookieepedia (ergo, it's not true ). Muuns were only in the EU, huh? Tell that to San Hill (of Episode II fame). In case anyone was wondering, Snoke does not look like San Hill.
  7. Not really, as long as you didn't look under the spoiler tag in my response. I think SonofTheShire's comment could be interpreted several different ways by the Force Awakens uninitiated.
  8. Have you taken a look at the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary yet? I haven't, but I think I'll pop into a Barnes & Noble and see if it doesn't have anything of interest on our Supreme Leader...
  9. Yeah, you're right. I'm just salty about not getting a chance to have my own squad of white-pauldroned stormtroopers, like in the Star Wars Rebels episode "Fire Across the Galaxy".
  10. Hmmm I just kinda assumed that it was the new Lambda-class. No? EDIT: Yup, just consulted the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary at Barnes & Noble. It calls it an Upsilon-class shuttle.
  11. OK, good. I'm just baffled by the disparity of quantity between the Stormtrooper and C-3PO. I thought a unique C-3PO would be more exclusive than a more or less generic stormtrooper, but I guess not. I mean, the C-3PO required a $40 or more Lego Star Wars purchase, the Stormtrooper $30 Lego purchase or more. Maybe more people bought Lego worth $30? It is that time of year, I guess...
  12. True. However,
  13. Rough, man. Like, that really is rough! My TRU is charging either $4.99 or $5.99 for C-3PO. And on the Stormtrooper poly, did you go talk to the employees at the customer service desk? That's how I've gotten those "with purchase" polybags in the past.
  14. Ah, but you could buy just the stormtrooper poly for $3.99 @ TRU..... so buy 8, get one free for 9 (!). Bricklink, you can get 4 for the same price.
  15. Well yeah, I know that! No, look at the picture again. Note how it describes the transport as cobbled together from different ships, with the cockpit coming from a B-Wing Mark 2! (Emphasis on the Mark 2 part!!!) Get it?
  16. Define 'freehand'.... like MOCing? Or some sort of free association therapeutic building exercise?
  17. Already my favorite character. Daisy Ridley totally stole the show. Me too! Right from the opening crawl (but especially that first shot apres opening crawl!) Seriously, can we get some love for that opening shot? For reals! She only does two things: take Finn's blaster and get thrown in a trash compactor. But Gwendoline has been cast in the next movie, so there's still hope. Yeah! And that scene where get blown up was a bit underwhelming.... how could they even see that from Takodana? And they all just took it in step: But does any of that change my already undying love for the movie? No. Also, a moment of silence please, in remembrance of the 20th Century Fox opening fanfare.
  18. More than they would have cost @ TRU
  19. Yeah, pretty sure Snoke's not a Muun. He would have to be a pretty messed-up Muun. Also, on Snoke: But besides that (and the X-Wing sniping ) the movie rocked my socks. +100 to whoever said something about already caring a lot for Rey, Finn & Poe. Throwin' wood on the rumor fire:
  20. Target rarely has solely minifigure polybags... those are usually only found at TRU. And yeah, that Stormtrooper Sergeant thing was a total bust for me too! I went two days after the promotion started and they had already run out of them! And yet, there's still gajillions of C-3POs for sale....
  21. So I was taking a gander at my "Art of the Empire Strikes Back" book, and saw the awesome AT-AT concepts by McQuarrie and Johnston. My point? Has anyone made or know of an AT-AT mod/moc with the AT-DP printed dishes? I would totally whip this up myself, but I lack an AT-AT. Got the AT-DP, but no AT-AT. Now I'll probably have to get 75054 just to make a Rebels-esque version! So has anyone already done this?
  22. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." This issue of minifigure printing was brought up in the Star Wars forum, and the overwhelming response was the same as those in this thread. Now it's been brought up in this forum, and it's more of the same. Surprise, surprise. I hate to speak for everyone on this forum, but from what I've seen over in the Star Wars forum, and now here, the vast majority understand Lego's business practices (and capitalism), and therefore have no objection to the current status of minifigure exclusivity. It really just comes down to patience, like you said. Remember Imperial Inspection? That certainly didn't usher in a sea change when it comes to leg printing. Leg printing's only been more standardized in the last couple years. Arm printing is becoming more and more common in the last couple, as well. Just have patience, young one. It's like cars (sort of [actually cars and Lego really aren't that close, but bear with me]). Just because Porsche can make a hybrid supercar (918 Spyder), doesn't mean that all of their cars after that suddenly become hybrid supercars, too. And people don't expect Porsche to keep churning out hybrid supercars! The technological developments made in the 918 will slowly creep into standard-production 911s. To keep bringing this issue up merely because: The horse is dead. Stop beating it. And I really don't want to come across sounding rude or curt (okay, maybe curt ), but I think slow progress is a baked-in, implicit part of being a Lego fan (or a fan of anything [heck, it's part of being a human!]). Get back to where you were as a youngster in the 80s! Just love it when Lego takes a step forward in minifigure printing! Don't overthink it too much!
  23. I stay away from Bricklink, if only because I'm too lazy to figure it out. (It looks really complicated, okay? ) Not sure if this is helpful, Hobbun, but you could start with set 75079 Shadow Troopers, which has two red lightsaber blades and is pretty small. And lots of sets have lightsaber hilts, it just depends on which color you want. The smallest set I can think of with the new metallic lightsaber hilt is Anakin's Jedi Interceptor or the upcoming Obi Wan Interceptor. Aaaaand you now have a glimpse into how I circumvent Bricklink. Ineffective? Maybe. But think of all those extra parts you get....
