  1. There’s always a right way and a wrong way to do something, and I hope LEGO finds the right way to do it. I would be so much more interested in the set if that was the case, but it feels like a weird scene to get such a big set for. It’s not a big action scene, and it’s rather somber and sad, not really typical for a Lego set, but who knows. As to if a set like this could have a big fig, there have been sets with big figs and good prices in the past, especially of larger size. here’s a good example: https://brickset.com/sets/80013-1/Monkie-Kid-s-Team-Secret-HQ And one from this theme a few years ago: https://brickset.com/sets/76108-1/Sanctum-Sanctorum-Showdown obviously, this set would have the best part per piece of all of them, but the notion that a set with a big-fig has to be expensive isn’t true.
  2. That’s another way to see it too, but I feel like if you’re going to do it, at least do it well, and the new mask is a sign of that to me at least. It’s hard to tell when it comes to things like this, but I would hope there would be some form of acknowledgment, maybe in the instructions or something, but I don’t know.
  3. It would also be borderline disrespectful, at least in my opinion. About this list as a whole, this is great! I hope the cap set has last year's red skull, I wanted the tower but I didn't have the money, and if he's in a $10 set then I won't bother. The iron monger sounds great, I'm expecting a large hulk buster like build, but hopefully wit ha better head! About the black panther set, it depends, both on the builds and the figures. I'm so happy we're getting an endgame final battle set. Finally, a chance to get some of the figures we've wanted so bad! The Benatar being the large set is honestly disappointing, I would have preferred a ship we haven't had before, especially Sanctuary II, but I probably wouldn't have gotten it anyways just because it's out of my budget range. This wave sounds great, and I'm really hoping this ends up being like Ninjago legacy, a recreated sub theme and not just a one-off wave.
  4. Having looked him up, wow he is massive! He also has normal human proportions (contrasting the cartoony spider-ham) so it really does work out. Huh.
  5. That minifig pack is great! I like the new iron venom figure better than the old, especially the tendril details on the mask. Pork grind is great too! This makes me really want spiderham now, but I can’t justify that venomosaurus. The only thing is that I think he should have used mid legs, because that would still make him larger than spider-ham, but not awkward looking like he is now. I hope we get more packs like this in the future!
  6. Ahh, I was wondering where the official pic came from.
  7. The sets have been added to lego.com, but there's not too much new to see, beyond the 3d view and higher quality pics. The accessory pack is nowhere to be seen, though.
  8. Oooh, that makes a lot more sense. It also is surprising to see that things are either planned that far in advance, or that they pay that much attention to small details from years ago.
  9. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here, but what season is CoG? The acronym doesn't ring a bell to me.
  10. And the legs are common to all of the golden figs, so you can just use the legs from any of the others to complete him! I expected those parts to not be available at all, so that's interesting.
  11. There haven't been any, which I take as a sign there won't be one. Monkie kid will get one in march, though, so I guess there's only 1 for an action theme each wave. I would have liked one with the crazy explorer from the trailer, or just a unique keeper, but maybe we'll see one in the summer.
  12. Ehh, seeing the lion out of the box doesn’t really change much of what I thought. I like the mouth and opening missile pods, but the thin body and the empty arches used ruins some of the look for me. I don’t know what it is about that build that looks so wrong to me, but it does. It might be the proportions, the wide shoulders, short body and long/straight legs just throw me off and make the whole thing strange to me. Beyond that, I saw the pic of the white bone demon Mech from the show, and it’s looking great! I like how it looks distinct from the others we’ve already gotten. I’ve loved the two big mechs so far, so count me in for a third! (Or fourth if you count the arachnid base)
  13. Speaking of new parts, there's a new bow corner piece that fits with the one introduced with the police station (https://brickset.com/parts/design-70681) that works for pagoda-style roofs. The easiest way to see it is in the corners of the structure on the back of the arachnoid base, but it's also in the lion (arcade build) and in flower fruit mountain. (inside, below the monkey king's throne, where the "battle" feature is) With all of Lego's Asian inspired themes, I think we'll be seeing a lot of this piece in the future.
  14. a few comments... The amount of smaller sets is great! Hopefully the price matches their size... Flower fruit mountain is very intriguing, especially the minifig selection, but it looks a bit empty from the back. I like the dragon horse jet, especially the layers shield tiles on the wings, and the arachnoid base looks really cool! I also like that the monkey king comes in a few more sets this time, as he is a major character. The lion ain't looking too hot, it looks like the garbled bootlegs you usually see online and laugh about. Also, trans-neon orange still isn't dead! It's all over the inferno jet, which is great, as I really do like it as a color. Overall, very nice! My only annoyance is that the big-fig spider guy isn't here, that comment got me excited for one.
  15. Everyone here is assuming that CCBS isn’t dead yet, but in all honesty, all those molds are probably gone too. The last time the most basic and essential CCBS parts were used was in 2018 with the last wave of Star Wars buildable figures(https://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-4593555), and even some of the other commonly used parts, such as the beast feel, have also been phased out in favor of brick built solutions.(look at ninjago dragons from 2019 and compare them to the ones from 2020-2021) The only piece left is the rounded shoulder armor, mostly because it’s a good surface to print on, and that’s it. If bionicle gets the set, it will be system or technic. There is no other way it could be done by now.
  16. Yeah, the last one is most likely, since most LEGO models in tv shows get drawn smaller than reality. Edit: I've seen the season 2 trailer, and there's a giant spider mech walking through the city. How much you wanna bet that's the arachnoid base?
  17. Well, that jet is interesting, more of a rocket than a jet. I do think it could have some transformation though, maybe like the bat pod and the wings fall off, so we’ll see what the full set is like. The lion is what I expected, but it looks kind of small for the higher set number it has, so I expect the set to be bigger. I’m so excited to see these, I hope we see it soon!
  18. And if you want to know more about it.... tada! I’ve used the service a few times before, I really do like it for allowing me to get parts I want without a whole set and without having to depend on independent sellers. However, I thought the entire figures weren’t available? I might double check to make sure, but usually at least one piece of a figure is “out of stock” perpetually to still encourage buying the entire set for the figures, especially for licensed themes. edit: the demons are both there completely, but the spider queen headdress is not, so you’re lucky!
  19. Yeah, take a look at the dedicated TV show thread: There's a link on there to the episodes so far.
  20. I really don’t know. Every other March release has been uploaded on to shop at home except for the rest of these sets.
  21. Well, I’m sure the hairpiece will also be used for season 14. Honestly, I suspect they made this new hairpiece to be compatible with whatever armor/scuba gear they give the ninja next season.
  22. I haven't voted yet, but in terms of what I will most likely vote for, I'm thinking classic space, adventurers and... I'll see about a third option. The only reason I'm unsure about bionicle is that every single piece the theme introduced is pretty much out of production. I know lego could still make something good, but I'm certain that many fans will dislike the set for being system when there's no other choice lego can make. The same is also true for ice planet, the trans neon orange is coming out of production so there's no way fans would be happy with whatever lego would use instead. I also won't vote for castle or pirates because they've both had good years recently (Last year for pirates, and this year for castle) so I feel like sci-fi space needs some love from lego, and despite being way to young to have ever seen them, classic space still resonates strongly with me.
  23. Yeah, I feel the same, most 18+ sets so far have been large scale display pieces, and not minifig scale models. In that sense, most of y’all are most likely going to be disappointed. I think that a large scale infinity gauntlet is very possible, just because it’s one of the most iconic things from these movies right now, but who knows.
  24. After the pirate ship last year, I had a feeling this would happen! I like the idea of creator becoming the home of these classic themes, because it means we’ll still be getting things from time to time. I don’t know if I’ll get it yet though, because other things might be a priority to me, but if it’s anything like the ship, then we’re in for a treat!
  25. Yeah, I'm guessing since it is labelled as a starter pack this time, we won't be thrown a curve ball like with the maker set and this'll actually have Luigi... unless it's just Mario again to keep him on the shelf so they can retire the old one. Beyond that though, I'm excited to see what the large set is! I wonder what thing from the Mario universe could warrant such a size... Peach's castle? Bowser's Airship? What could it be? I'm also curious if there will be a theme to the sets like with the soda jungle theme of the current wave, maybe the snow next? Or the sky/clouds? I don't know what it is about this theme, but I'm always excited about the possibilities of whatever is coming next! edit: Wow, those prices are neat! All of the expansion sets have a 10 ppp except the $30 dollar one. That’s unexpected but great!
