Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
The_Fiery_Rooster replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have no idea what you are talking about. What hair piece? Nothing has been confirmed for Thor so far, we have no idea if they’ll use the aquaman hair or something else. for me, it’s a number of reasons, one being I have the infinity war version, and I’m not too invested in the ship so I don’t really care for 2. Another is that I likely won’t be able to afford a $150 set unless I don’t buy anything else, and I’m definitely not missing out on the final battle. Finally, the figure selection doesn’t interest me that much anyways. Between those three things, I can’t justify getting it, even though I’m sure it’ll be a fantastic build. -

I think the Harry Potter sets were leaked because there’s an official press release coming soon, so I don’t think we’ll be getting the other themes very soon. I’ll still give it another week. -

Well, for the last three years official summer set images have leaked after the 20th of this month, so we’ve got a week or two till we see them. -

Really? So the hydra goon is this guy? https://brickset.com/minifigs/sh171/hydra-henchman-chitauri-armor I also guess this means the cap that’ll leak soon is that one, I was excited to see final battle cap... let’s go! Though, how else would we know that the 4+ set was if it wasn’t because of a figure leak... I’ll keep my hopes up, but I’m also prepared for disappointment. -

Both sets are on TheBrickFan: https://www.thebrickfan.com/ I guess it's okay to post them since they have? Well, it provides a cheaper way to get the figure, so I'm happy about that! -

The 4+ set leaked too, and honestly, it's not that bad? I actually sort of like the bat mobile, and the joker car doesn't even look like a 4+ set! I might actually get it... -

While that is true, giving this rumor massive amounts of validity, I feel the need to point out that that very post, unlike his other marvel posts, says “strong marvel rumor” on the top of it. Like I said, it’s likely at this point because of all of the leakers that have validated it, but since it says “rumor”, it’s clearly not 100%. -
LEGO Ninjago 2021
The_Fiery_Rooster replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don’t see why it couldn’t be? It looks to me like it’s just one set of the discovery bay doors at 45 degrees, instead of the pair on the shuttle. The connection points line up, and so does the curve, looking closer. I just don’t see LEGO making a new curved panel just after making that one. I also just noticed that minifig standing spot, it’s weird. My only guess would be Nya, maybe? Idk -

To shift back to the set discussion, looking at the hydro bounty again after the reveal of the discovery, what if the panels on the top are the discovery panels? That would make a lot of sense to me, and the dimensions seem to match up... just a thought. -

Eh, the head would be way too small and look goofy, I hope they don't do that. -

That's what I thought, but everyone here is talking about it like it's fact, so I was confused for a bit. I think the Thanos will have armor like the previous ones, but the new system will definitely open up for new things to happen with big figs. -

This is the part that worries me, he has clearly pronounced shoulder pads, but is the fig only going to have printing to approximate that? I’m not confident that it will look good. -

The_Fiery_Rooster replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Huh, how will that look? Absolutely this means we’ll get IW Thanos at some point, but I’m not sure how it will look without any kind of molded armor... on the plus side, it means the arms won’t be limited in motion like the old Thanos mold was. Also, with the whole “movable head” thing, I feel like LEGO is trying to make the big-fig more LEGO like, more parts and more customizable like a minifig. -

I'm glad we're getting both thors, but I'm worried as to what they will do for the hair... I don't expect lego to make a new mold for each, so I guess they'll both have the same piece? -

I’m not sure, I feel like the Detroit Steel approach would work, but I also think LEGO would just use this (https://brickset.com/parts/6323446/cockpit-4x4x1-2-3-w-dia-3-2-shaft) with a print, despite the lack of accuracy in doing so. The only think I don’t think they will do is the flat dome, like last year’s hulk buster. That won’t happen. -

Well, the hulkbuster was already larger than it should be, and then they made it bigger, so I don't think lego is too bothered with scaling when it comes to these iron man mechs. -

I think that everyone who's confused about what the Iron Monger is going to be like has completely forgotten about last year's hulkbuster: https://brickset.com/sets/76164-1/Iron-Man-Hulkbuster-versus-A-I-M-Agent Most likely, it'll be the same scale (hopefully with a better head), since it's the same price and a similar parts count too. -

I always love people dissecting images like these that get posted on Instagram by LEGO pages... half the time they mean nothing, but people get worked up about them, like the time @Falconfan1414 posted an image of the Darkseid big fig and everyone freaked out, but it meant nothing at all, it’s great. -

I agree, this thing is stunning! I like how, despite the varied collection of sets that make up this model, that the color scheme is still consistent throughout. I’m also a fan of the smaller details, like the shredder claws and the four golden weapons in the chest. I even like how you reused a lot of stickered parts to good effect, despite the completely different sets they come from. Like you, the garma mecha man set also disappointed me, but unlike you, I didn’t do anything about it, I didn’t even get the set. This, on the other hand, feels like the ultimate Garmadon mech that we deserved! This is fantastic! -

End of life, they will be retiring ad no longer sold by then. The only one of those that bothers me at all is the hall of armor, I still haven't gotten it, and given this summer wave, probably won't manage to get it before it retires either. -

Wow, that Rocket figure looks pretty good! I don't mind the grey as much, mostly because I'm happier about the fix of his fur color and the new headpiece! I'm taking this as a good sign of what the other figures will be like, because honestly a new rocket head was not the first thing that came to my head as a new mold we needed. I think it's much more likely that we get new molds for the other characters that need them, like Thor. I'm so glad that this wave is getting the budget it needed to do things right! -

The laser weapon he wields for part of the film? I never actually saw homecoming so I’m just remembering what was in the trailers.
