  1. Well, yeah, but that’s from other toy fairs, mostly Nuremberg, but at New York, what’s public is all we get.
  2. Ehh, at best we would have seen the eternals sets. I don’t get why everyone expects so much out of toy fair anymore, LEGO has been showing only spring releases for years at this point.
  3. Ahh, so it is a new hood then. Can't wait to see it.
  4. Well, I think the golden Nya figure will be using the new suit design (It makes sense as to why we haven't gotten it yet) and it seems to use her hairpiece instead of a hood, so maybe a new half mask with tank and rebreather?
  5. Yeah, it was a relief when I learned that was the case too, especially after I realized that In Arishem's Shadow has less than 500 pieces...
  6. The catalogue is Canadian, so the prices are in Canadian dollars, so it's right to assume the US prices would be lower than the ones listed. Also, the prices Just2Good listed aren't guesses, we've known these prices for a while. They've been listed on brickset for weeks before the pics leaked. I think they came from a promobircks article a while back, and they're a good source so we can be confident in these prices. About the sets, they're pretty neat. The deviants are all cool builds, and getting a large scale celestial build is great! The name if that set is also so cool, it really emphaiszes how massive the celestials are. If I'll get any of these, it'll be the $20 one, I like the figure selection and accessories the best, and the deviant build is unique and interesting. I would get In Arishem's Shadow, but there are other sets I'd rather buy with that money from other themes. Maybe later...
  7. I'm hoping a large submarine like this will be cool, especially the interior, but I've been noticing a pattern that's annoying me... This will be the THIRD year in a row that the largest set of the summer wave is some variant of the bounty. Why? I get it, the main headquarters of the heroes is bound to be eternally popular given how much it's used, but still. I would much prefer the unique villains that we'll most likely never see again to get the largest set than the 6th version of the same vehicle. I know that's what the second largest set is for, but that fact still doesn't help to make me happier about this. ugh.
  8. Well, of course this specific one with the waffle print isn't ninjago, but with the water theme, I could totally see the new villians using this same piece. I wonder why they decided to make a new mermaid piece though, my only guess is that since this one is smaller it's easier to incorporate figures with this piece into builds.
  9. Something I noticed from the catalog, we finally get a really clear look at the wheel for all the golden legacy figures, and I figured out what Zane’s figure wears from the silhouette. He uses the forbidden Spinjitzu fire head wrap! I didn’t expect that piece to come back. About season 14, I really only care for the village and dragon sets. I like how the new ninja look, and the face masks of the villains are pretty cool too. I was right about the reuse of the overlord dragon head, but only the lower half. Interesting thing to note, there seems to be only one collectible this wave, the purple/gold amulet. I don’t think there’s only been just one before, usually there’s at least 2, so it’s nice to not have to worry so much about getting all of them. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this.
  10. Well, no, it’s not. The first legacy overlord had 4 arms, with the golden armor printed on the second torso, while this one has only two arms, with the golden armor print on a normal torso. The head also looks to be different, with a pink mouth instead if a black one. Yes, it’s not that different of a figure, but I think that instead of being a mishmash of the two different overlords, they just stuck to the 2014 design, which is weird since this set is from season 2, not rebooted.
  11. Seeing these finalized images, I’m liking it more than before. The light use of trans pink as energy kind of works, about that, I think there’s a trans pink old style lighting piece on the dragon’s chest under the golden rib cage, you can see it on the front of the box. I think the inclusion of a lighting bolt piece for the overlord minifig is nice, just to give him something. However, from what I can see, his facial expression looks kind of goofy, I’ll stick with the current one over that. Another interesting thing, they ditched the golden face for Lloyd and instead used the normal yellow one. This set, to me, is the first time that LEGO has decided to make something more accurate to the show than any previous set release. I’ll see if I get it or not, just because my LEGO budget is kind of tight.
  12. The season 14 sets release in March, while the legacy sets release on January 1st, so that’s the simple version as to why. You can see this with nearly every other theme, they’re all missing pictures for some sets, and that’s because they release in March, while LEGO is only revealing the January releases. Same with these other online stores, they put up pictures because they’re getting ready for Jan 1, and March is too far off for them to put up those images. It is annoying though, honestly, that these releases are staggered this way, especially since the other themes seem to have randomly selected which get released later compared to now.
  13. In that sense, I agree, especially in regards as to what designs they chose for the golden suits. They’re all variants from the past 2 years! We should have at least gotten one suit with the original hood piece, since it’s still in production as seen in last year’s gamer market, or maybe the half mask in gold to get the rebooted suit. Another thing I’m disappointed with, why is ghoultar’s shoulder armor and half mask black? Both those parts exist in dark blue, and would be much more accurate that way, also the inclusion of eyezor twice(maybe 3 with the electro mech) and not even clouse or Chen is ridiculous. However, as sets, independent of the 10 years thing, or my other minifig related qualms, they’re nice. I’m most looking forward to the 2 tournament of elements sets, as I regret not getting any back in 2015, the Boulder Blaster especially. I don’t know why, but it always struck me as a cool set, with the shooter function and all.
  14. Well then. I actually like how it looks, and I’m pretty sure it uses a new molded heard piece, that I’m pretty sure is shared with the jungle dragon too. I like hate color scheme, the dark blue adds some more color to an otherwise dark model. I’m also interested in seeing that new overlord minifig, especially in regards to the head and helmet piece. However, I am annoyed by the figure selection, where are those other 2 golden suits going to come from? The fact that there’s only 2 is also underwhelming, at least throw in some stone soldiers or something. I’ll probably get it, especially since I already have the legacy golden dragon.
  15. I’m actually pretty excited for most of these! The ghost rider set looks great, the leak made it look kinda short, but this is what I wanted! My only grievance is the lack of any weapon for ghost rider. About the truck, I’m happy it’s 40 and not 50 like it has been rumored. I’m loving all the figs in this set! The new hood looks great on ghost spider, the ps4 doc ock looks even better than the leaks, and mysterio’s accessories are perfect, as well as the new bowl color. The clear webs are weird though, I get what they’re going for, but the solid white pieces ruin it, and I’m just too used to the solid white webs anyways. The truck itself is just another big vehicle, and it doesn’t even have any good features. I might remove he big wheels and change the inside to be a mystery machine like mobile base. I feel like that would work pretty well. The mechs are fine, but I’m liking the cap Mech more now that before. The miles Mech looks cool too, but the Thor Mech is a let down. Why do they have to make one of these a repeat figure every time? I’m not even that excited for the silver helmet, so that’s definitely not on my buy list. Beyond that, I’m liking this!
  16. Wow, I did not expect this! I hope LEGO keeps this pattern going and reveals more things during the week. About the sets themselves, I did not expect the “Master your adventure” set! It looks like the main feature is that, using that weird machine, you can change what the three power-ups do, such as coin amounts or what kind of mushroom you get, or even the star power. That’s really creative! It also gives an easy way to get all of the power-ups, Instead of having to buy more sets to get each individually. It’s kind of strange to just have one koopaling though, so I’m hoping the summer wave will fix that. (big airship, maybe?) For the other sets, the wiggler is interesting, I want to see how the opening platform works with the goomba. The piranha plant with the red coins looks funky but $30 is way too much. I get that it has a load of parts, but it should have included a few more platforms or another enemy to make it worth it. The chain chomp is really nice, with 2 new enemies and a new power-up (the coin block), but the feature might be too similar to the guarded fortress piranha plant. I really don’t care for the suits, and for the character packs, I’m happy with the fly guy and poison mushroom. Another general thing, I like the inclusion of parakoopas, as well as the fact that these are red koopas, to go with the green ones. Very cool. edit: just saw the video, the chain chomp isn’t even attached! It just goes flying! That makes it VERY fun, and makes it unique too. That’s the one I’m most likely to get honestly. edit: I know I keep on making more edits, but the maker set is listed on shop@home! https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/master-your-adventure-maker-set-71380 January 1st release date, as expected, with loads of extra images and a 3D view to boast. Nice.
  17. Oooh, that would be awesome! Put in 3 or 4 of the most important characters, make the covers nice and detailed, and include a micro scene of the most important moment, and that would be awesome! That would work especially well for some of the solo movies we never got sets for, like Iron Man 1 and 2, or Winter Soldier, even Thor maybe. Or comics too, that would work really well to get some more classic designs. That would be so cool, and look especially great all together on a shelf! Like you said though, probably not.
  18. Yeah, I’m actually pretty annoyed how every time there’s a new Spider-man movie or game and LEGO makes indirect tie-ins with them, they only give us the good guys (all the alternate spider-men) and none of the villains. How cool would it have been to get Kingpin, Mr. Negative, Rhino, Prowler, or any of the other villains that are clearly getting media coverage instead of the same 5 we’ve been getting forever? I’m 99% percent sure kids want those villains too, especially if they want the heroes from the same media! If there’s one thing I’m happy about with the Square-Enix avengers sets, is that they actually gave us AIM and MODOK, but then again, no abomination or super-adaptoid, and they’re in the game too. Sorry for the rant, this was just on my mind and your comment refueled my inner “rage”. (it’s not that intense, I just can’t think of a better word.)
  19. These are beautiful! Between the two, I actually probably like the snowy Story of Nian better, since I like the stone wall and gate design, as well as the fireworks. and the wonderful build of Nian. The snow effects are great as well. The garden is fantastic too, especially all those new prints! I' m strangely excited for the new orange phone print you can see, with the texting interface, and the koi fish is an amazing detail. The compatibility with the modular buildings is also such a clever touch, because I think having a small grade blink this could break up all of the large buildings in a row.
  20. I think that picture of Mysterio's smoke piece is fake... To me it looks like the official picture of Nehmaar Reem (the guy that uses this piece in Hidden Side) with the top cropped of and with a green layer placed over it. The murky color would then be the black of the original piece mixed with green, which his why it looks so bad and opaque. I'm sure the real one will look better than that. Another thing, the original pic is a rendering, which would also explain some of the extra shine and gleam, along with the overall weird look.
  21. I like the look of this set! FalconFan on Instagram says the price is $150, and seeing his track record on all of these prices, I’m sure he’s correct about this. One thing I noticed, look at the legs of the spiders and the extra arms of the henchmen, there’s a new piece! It’s like the clip with bar hole on the end, but the clip is rotated 90 degrees, so it has an L shape. Interesting. I also like the new extra Accessories on the characters, like the Spider Queen’s cape, or Mei’s shoulder armor, Monkie Kid’s turquoise hood, and even Red Son’s back attachment. I also like how those are new variants, it’s all pretty neat. About the containers, they can be attached to the quadcopter, even the Spider Queen’s base! You can see the clips on the sides of the containers, and the bars on the copter. I think this thing was a cargo mover that’s been converted to an armed quadcopter. I always love converted vehicles like this! Only thing that annoys me is that Sandy is the exact same, at least give him a new expression! Other than that, I like this thing, but the price is really high, so I’m not sure I’ll get it...
  22. Which suit do you all think that’s supposed to be? My only guess might be the zx suit, but it’s not perfect... If it is though, that gives me hope for the other suits being older too, and both Cole (and maybe jay) are just exceptions to have some modern representation.
  23. I got the same feeling too, I think the off-colored red for the arms is what does that. Beyond that, this is an amazing figure, and I'm happy a figure this common has arm printing. Exactly, lol Also, the new miles figure is great! I love pretty much everything about it.
  24. I mean, it's about what I expected... When you compare the face to the image on the previous page, they match up pretty well, and his face is colored in a way that makes it look shiny, so the silver makes sense. If you look at other images of the character, the minifig design makes sense. The reason I don't like it is because I'm not the best fan of that comic design either. I guess it's better than not having any ghost rider, at least...
  25. I love the idea of this as a theme, I think it would be a breath of fresh air amidst the constant sci-fi vehicle landscape that currently plagues LEGO, but I’m still not convinced this isn’t anything more than just a new part of the park. How do we know this will be a full fledged theme? The press release only talks about how they developed it as a theme park, there’s no mention of anything else beyond rides and attractions, or things centered around them. I wouldn’t get my hopes up, and unless someone who knows better than us chimes in and gives us an answer, I’ll assume it most likely won’t be a full theme.
