Wait, where did you get that from? Yes, for the past few years summer sets have had official pics release in the last week of April, but that isn’t a guarantee, and to act as such only sets us up for disappointment. I swear, in years prior I have never noticed this same level of impatience and anxiousness over summer set pics before. Maybe I just didn’t notice it, or I somehow managed to avoid it myself, but every day it feels like there’s at least one comment that’s just “maybe it’s today”. It’ll be eventually, let’s all calm down. -

Yeah, that’s another way of looking at it, but I was more so thinking how great it was to get a set like that for free, something that was really substitutional and didn’t require spending more that $100 at once to get. Ehh, it really doesn’t matter too much anyways. It is interesting to note how many more pre-orders LEGO does these days. Since last year there’s been quite a few. I feel like it’s a way to get to a more adult crowd, since they’re probably more likely to do that than the parents of a kid, at least in my opinion. -

Oh, well I’ll guess it’s probably like the rest of LEGO’s marvel comics stuff, not based on any comic in particular and just an amalgamation of multiple elements from different times. I wouldn’t expect it to be a specific version of the bulge, if that’s what you mean. -

I think he means more so in terms of Spider-Man 3, not the bugle. In terms of that, it’s possible, marvel likes to have their comics at least slightly related to the movies coming out at the time, but really we don’t know. -

I was looking at the video again and realized that the Yoshi is still on Luigi's chest after the Goomba is defeated, so maybe it's like a mushroom and only goes away after damage is taken? Maybe that's all it does, since I feel like anything else might be overpowered, idk. I'm kind of disappointed there's no pre-oerder set like the monty-mole one last year. I'm still disappointed I missed out on that one, my Lego store ran out of stock day one, but I'd like to try again. Heck, they don't even offer the polybag as a pre-order bonus, so I really don't see a reason to pre-order this at all. I'll just wait till august. -

Another small reveal! A poly bag: https://us.zavvi.com/toys-lego/lego-super-mario-fuzzy-mushroom-platform-expansion-set-30389/13026719.html Yet another blind bag enemy that’s no longer exclusive. The star block is nice though. -

I was right! I was just off by a day. However, all we saw officially revealed today was the Luigi starter course, and none of the other sets. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/adventures-with-luigi-starter-course-71387?CMP=AFC-AffiliateUS-oSv%2FvWYkQIY-2014326-115554-1 There are some interesting things to note, though, like how the video posted on social media shows that Yoshi actually has a new interaction in that scanning the tile makes the next enemy you defeat be locked by yoshi instead of stomped. I’m assuming it works like a one time star power-up, instantly defeating the next enemy and maybe some extra coins. I like the new sound effects added, with Luigi saying Yoshi’s name and the classic ‘mlem’ sound. The nougat color is described as the “tower” biome, that feels like a weird choice, but we’ll see what they do with it. Another thing, the video doesn’t show this, but the box does indeed confirm that Mario and Luigi connect to each other via bluetooth. However, nothing in the product description says what this interaction is, and they really seem to be focusing on Luigi as it’s own independent product. I guess we’ll see that later, closer to release maybe? -

Yeah, but (if I’m understanding correctly) he had posted a prior cmf list that was false. As he put it in the marvel forum, he had a “dubious source” but now has a new one. So, I would still be cautions about whatever he has posted in the past. -

Ahh, I didn't realize it varies! In that case, it makes more sense since the set is based on New Super Mario Bros U anyways. -

Nah, the NES was revealed later on it's own. D2Cs are revealed much closer to release than other sets. Another small comment, but why does boom boom have the spiky shell piece? I’m pretty sure his shell is smooth in game. If it’s dark red, then there’s no way to replace it, so we’re stuck with that innacuracy. -

Just some wild speculation... But earlier this week, we saw 2 of the Harry Potter sets leak on Amazon the day before a full dedicated press release came out. Could this be the same situation here? They’ve done a full press release for every other Mario wave so far (I suspect more so because of Nintendo’s and not LEGO’s want), so I would expect one for these too. If so, then maybe we’ll see something tomorrow! I’d especially like to see the videos that would come with it, hopefully showing Luigi in action with Mario as well, and how they work together. Maybe we’d see the other sets too, who knows! But, I don’t want to get hyped for nothing, so I’ll stay cautiously optimistic for tomorrow... -

Just a quick aside, I was curious as to what all the green towers were supposed to be, since it doesn't seem to match any Mario biome that I know, so I decided to do some searching.. and found it's based on this level in Super Mario Bros U! https://www.mariowiki.com/Crushing-Cogs_Tower Guess who's the boss of that level? Yup, it's Boom Boom. It even has lots of dry bones, and while he isn't included in the set, the bone goomba is. I really like that they kind of recreated a lego version of this level, and I hope we see more of it in the future! -

Looking at Luigi and Mario again, I compared the two, and it looks like the trousers for Luigi aren't taller than Mario's, just that they have slimmer feet and longer legs wit a shorter body, so the old power-up suits should still work! I think what they should do is include 2 hats in every power-up pack from now on, one for Mario and one for Luigi, since I don't think the two trousers are distinct enough to justify separate power-up suits. -

I like that Luigi Starter course a lot! I like how it includes the other biomes the Mario one did not, and in fact, it looks like there's a new wood(?) biome that's the nougat color. I also like the large tower, it's interesting to see what it does. I'm also happy to get a new yoshi, and the walking feet look cool too. The fact that this comes out in july is also interesting, so we might see these sets earlier than we thought. Luigi himself looks to be taller, both in his legs and his head, and it looks like they made his cheeks slimmer too. One thing about the legs, though, is that if they are taller, then none of the power-up packs will work with him. My only disappointment is that nothing on the box shows how he interacts with Mario, but I'm sure it'll be good! -

Well, it's one series of 12 for 4 shows, so an average of 3 for each. Yeah, these look really cool, but maybe we'll get something else later. After all, these might be 'spoilers' and not something lego would make a set for so close to the release of the show. -

Hmm, yeah I think we should get her soon, maybe in whatever the $100 dollar set is? Or maybe as a third playable character later on down the road. -

Ahh, I get it now! Do you think the marvel sets will also have a press release, or was that just because of the Harry Potter anniversary? I’m thinking of how in November we had that week of back to back press releases with winter set reveals, and I’m wondering if that’s the case now too. I don’t expect you to have a concrete answer, obviously, but it’s just what I’ve been thinking. I think Harry Potter also has a separate august wave, so I think the What If...? set will be a similar situation. -

I'm guessing you mean like how the Harry Potted flying Lesson technically comes out in august, but was shown today because it'll be a store exclusive in june? It could be a similar situation, a $30 set with 3 figs... -

But the head is dark grey, it wouldn’t match at all, and the level of detail is completely different. Then again, it is weird that it’s the only singular piece that has leaked so far, rather than the whole figure... -

On top of this, the sound bug was replicated by other people as well, meaning it’s 100% legit! I was wondering though, what could the sound actually be used for? I then remembered that LEGO Mario has Bluetooth connectivity, so what if Mario and Luigi can actually interact with each other by connecting to the same device or to each other? The sound we heard would be when they successfully connect (as Mario is looking for Luigi, and then finds him). This could allow for so many interesting ideas, like some kind of co-op where the two play a level at once, or a competition to finish the level first. I’m excited! -

We already know what the builds are, thanks to promobricks: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-marvel-2021-neuheiten-2-halbjahr/118941/ It consists of a small avengers compound, Luis’s van, and what’s described as a “gun”, so I’m guessing a turret of some kind for the chitauri. Keep in mind, it’s about 500 parts, so nothing crazy. -
