Looks awesome, i love the Fury style wings (grey core with black panels on top), i agree with Reflexes though, the wings look a tad small compared to the cockpit Probably the best Interceptor MOC ive seen

I see, i wasnt too impressed with 75082 myself, but most of that comes from the price of the set (even though i managed to get it VERY cheap), and not liking the curve on the wing panels too much They are nice models still, but the SW stuff is getting rather pricey, and in that context im finding it harder and harder to forgive the fact that most lego sets need modification out of the box to look right (to me anyway)

[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With two 75078 set)
Vectormatic replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You totally should, the Two BP version is the reason i bought another 2 75078s last weekend (and a shadowtrooper BP because they had a promo) And im willing to bet im not the only one to buy a few extra because of this excellent moc :P -

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, then ill need to buy another 2 BPs :P -
Good review, but i very much dislike the set, the european price is €45, which for ~300 parts is just inexcusable imho The doors are also non-canon, and i think the upper line looks too bulgy, more of a thunderbird II then a flash speeder to my eyes. It is good that Lego is revisiting some of these vehicles which havent been released in more then a decade, but turning a 100 piece set into a 300 piece set for a small speeder? nah
-
Oh i agree on the price, €75 list price is idiotic for 500 something parts. I had the same feeling on the tie prototype, i have to actively remind myself i only payed €30 for it to not feel bad

Honestly i think stuff like this belongs in the general non-lego discussion forum

Why were you underwhelmed, price? piece count? detail? what would need to be changed for you to be properly whelmed? (just curious, i might want to pick it up eventually myself)

+1, the A-model is quite cool, one of my favorite technic sets from the past few years. -
Wow, sounds like a problem with the plastic they are using Now im kinda nervous about my Gozanti, it is from the summer wave and the newest production set i have..

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Agreed, the snowspeeder will be a buy for me, probably the first part of my FO army, the X-wing i dont quite know yet.. The Rebels stuff i've seen before, and yeah, the Ghost and AT-DP are gopping, The AT-DP looks worse then all those generic battlepack walkers we've seen the past five years, and from what i can tell they ruined the design purely to keep it looking "chibi". The Ghost... Just look at those SDCC 2014 exclusives and the new micro looks hilariously bad, i realize the part limit is different, but WTF I love the Tie-proto though, ill be picking up a few of those at least -

Perhaps some Rebels BPs? In Season 2 the rebels are starting to gather a decent group, i could see them having enough generic soldiers for a BP in Season 3, likewise the imperials could have evolved enough character wise to warrant more then just generic stormies, so another BP on their side would be nice, perhaps something with fleet officers to coincide with an Arquitens light cruiser? (a man can dream cant he?) -
[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With two 75078 set)
Vectormatic replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, it was a minor issue though, i got it right in the end, it was just a bit odd having it do the flag-flaps as six seperate stages dispersed though the whole build, and only after youve placed the slide-nub and the plate they fit between etc.. Dont worry too much about the instructions, having an LDD model is easily good enough -
[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With two 75078 set)
Vectormatic replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, the only time i really had trouble with it was during construction though, the sides are a big line of high narrow stacks, but once the plates/grids across the top come on it is a solid construction, so no complaints really. And i love the fact that it is basically a combined model for 2 of these sets, it is almost a single €30 set, with a cool vehicle and 8 stormies. -
[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport (With two 75078 set)
Vectormatic replied to abyssahx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I just built this, and i have to say, it is an excellent build, turns two battlepacks into one big army-pack, easily a €30 set. Here and there the construction is a bit less then solid, but that is only logical given the parts constraint, it is an awesome job. It looks MUCH better next to my AT-DP Did have some trouble working off of LDD though, the construction guide mode puts everything in some random order, putting parts in mid-air, expecting you to put a part between two previously connected parts etc.. but i worked it out Kudos OP! I love this little craft (and LEGO can thank you for selling me two extra BPs) -
Just went into town for another two 75078s (i love the Rebels imperial stuff, and i think these will be retiring SOON), turns out they had 15% off all toys, so i picked up an extra Shadow Troopers battlepack as well, they wont be joining the Lothal garrison, but they will stand proudly among the rest of my Imperial Army Plastic Crack indeed, im just happy (well, my wallet is) that they didnt have the FO Tie polybags :P

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Vectormatic replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The windscreen on the Gozanti is an easy fix though, a few slopes and bricks in two grey tones, and a few trans-black plates and it looks awesome, there is a post here on the forum with the exact mod, it looks much better, and makes the ship looks big rather then some small odd craft, that guy also spaced the Ties closer together making it more screen accurate (And to paraphrase the thread, make it look less like a space-bus :P) I might be a tad biased though, i have a gozanti waiting for christmas, and i have the 2006 SD (slightly modded), and while 75055 might look a bit better out of the box, id rather mod my bigger SD to look better then replace it with a smaller one. If you have neither, id go for the 75055 first, since it will be retired before the Gozanti, and despite me liking the Gozanti a whole lot, the ISD is the more iconic ship -
Good to hear that, i remember reading the original "purchase" in this thread.

Yeah, we could make it a C-model contest for one of the specific pullback racer sets! -

And are great little part packs in terms of panels and such, the red/white F1 car from a few years back is still one of my favorite technic models from after my dark ages.
