    Yeah, the fact that there's no Ian Malcolm completely invalidates this entire wave. The sets look pretty good overall. Still holding out hope for a triceratops, but I'm not optimistic.

    I would hope that this type of thing could exist outside of the current City themed modular line, creating a new line of Castle themed modular sets at varying price points but the same level of detail and complexity. The big castle set to tie it together would be a highlight. And City fans could connect them to their modular street with a few small modifications if they wanted to.

    I think they could make some smaller Expert level modular style sets. Think of the Pet Shop, how it is actually 2 buildings that can be split apart. Just release a building that is 1/2 or 1/4 the size of a normal modular building that snaps together in the same way. There are many ideas floating around, like a medieval market, or a blacksmith, etc. They could do that for many medieval buildings, they don't all have to be in the $100-200 range. But then they could release a huge Castle themed castle set, closer to the price range of the Ninjago City, that could tie them all together. That would be amazing.

    That's probably true. I would expect to see panels as well. Unless they actually deliver on a huge Expert level Castle set (not Hogwarts or a Disney castle), which would be just amazing.

    Would have been nice to see a couple more angles from the side and back (where the slope is), but still good to know it has the pegs (which I think we all assumed it would).

    The old versions may be outdated, but they still look far better than these versions.

    I still feel much the same way. I want a good number of Dragons, and there are a lot of good pieces.

    I disagree. Fawkes is the worst part of this set. Well, at least the preliminary version from Toy Fair looks terrible, I hope the final version doesn't have a black piece for the body. But even if it has better colors it will still be ugly and clunky looking. The Basilisk is the second worst thing here. I just hate ugly brick-built creatures.

    This is the design that got my vote: Planetary Scout Team by KingsKnight The colors pop without feeling too overbearing. It's 4 small vehicles that fit well in the Space theme. The Classic Space minifigures are great, and new colors like these would be fantastic. I hope that any winning design has a Classic Spaceman minifigure, and that LEGO chooses to produce it in a new color.

    The one on top is definitely the best of the bunch, but I'm just not into siege vehicles anyways. I'm sure they could do something better now. I agree, looking back I'd much rather have these than 2.5 years of Nexo Knights. So if this is what we get, so be it. I would hope to get something a little more grounded, less outlandish. But I wouldn't mind seeing a modern take on these factions, or another similar fantasy faction, in a new Castle theme.
