  1. I would like that. Cool minifigure. Love the headpiece.
  2. I agree. I wasn't into the Clone Wars / Rebels style at first, it took a bit to get used to it. I'm a much bigger fan of 2D animation in general, so I'm optimistic. I just hope I will enjoy the focus on a pilot, that's not really what draws me to Star Wars.
  3. Forgive me for being new to the game aspect of this, but in what way does the amount of participation impact the gameplay?
  4. Absolutely. Eurobricks needs more diversity in forum themes among it's various subforums. Pirates used to have one of the best...
  5. Definitely, however it might be good (once everything is set and the launch date is decided) to post a tease about a week or so ahead of time so that some people aren't just caught off guard.
  6. I love the scale of the Goblin Castle here, and the overall design. It looks fantastic. I just wish I liked the color scheme.
  7. I felt challenged in the sense that I felt Rian Johnson put this movie out to challenge people like me to see if we would still love Star Wars if there was a crappy one. I do still like Star Wars, I just don't like this crappy one. My belief was that Luke was isolated because he found the first Jedi temple and wanted to meditate on the things he learned there. And then, when Rey came with the lightsaber, he would realize he still has some good to do in this galaxy and he would train her to defeat Kylo Ren.
  8. You can argue all you want, but you will fail. The Last Jedi had some good points, but there was much about it that was bad, and most of the bad were the fundamentals of the movie. The whole idea of Luke being closed to the Force is terrible, and not at all what JJ Abrams had planned for the character. Rey bringing Luke the lightsaber should have been the impetus to get him to be the Yoda / Obi-Wan of the new trilogy and actually train her (rather than just relying on the inexplicable power she already had). I get the idea that Johnson was trying to do something new, I just wish he hadn't done that in an Episodic Star Wars movie and waited to challenge our concepts of Star Wars in his own standalone movie. I really don't like the direction that Johnson went with the story, I don't like his attitude about the negative fan reaction to his work, and I don't like him being involved in any future Star Wars releases. I think the decision to let him handle this one independently rather than coming at the trilogy with a unified vision was a bad decision that has been harmful to Star Wars. You're right, I did not get the Star Wars that I wanted. Neither did a very substantial chunk of the fanbase. I'm not afraid of complexity, I just felt that all of his answers to questions set up in The Force Awakens were dissatisfying.
  9. You should post the images directly rather than links!
  10. Gorgeous! Looking forward to seeing more angles.
  11. None of those Collector minifigures in that thread are in any way close to the official version. I would then have a watered down facsimile of the Collector in my collection. In my opinion, they should have released a Collector with an exclusive SDCC print or packaging at the Comic Con, and had the actual Collector that they released appear in sets. That would have been better for everyone. Those who went to the Comic Con would have an exclusive special figure, and fans would have an official version of a particular character.
  12. I'm looking forward to joining up for Book III, and will be joining Nocturnus (if it stays an option). If it is not an option, it doesn't really matter which guild I join, as most of my characters and builds will be in Nocturnus. So this post is just my pledge of support in the campaign for a Nocturnian option.
  13. Emmet and Lucy could very well be in all of these sets, and it's not really a big problem for me. They were in most of the sets last time, too. They're pretty much the main characters.
  14. That's lucky! Wish it would happen to me, I could use those printed tiles from 4 or 5 Dumbledores!
  15. I love the Ultrakatty, and I love the ship. I hope they make a left leg just like the right for that female character with the visor, it's a great leg design. Nice to see new damaged Emmet is confirmed here.
  16. I would much rather see them produce interesting little sets with no exclusive pieces but cool exclusive packaging and such to honor the occasion.
  17. For me it's the choice of minifigures. They have made some very desirable minifigures into rare chase figures and exclusives when they could have done a simple variant with a Comic Con print of some sort.
  18. That was really the worst point for me, and I agree that JJ should maybe have done the whole thing. But JJ was reluctant to do more than one in fear of Prequel level backlash, so I understand why they chose someone else. I'm just not sure why they chose Johnson, and then decided to give him an entire trilogy afterwards to pursue his terrible ideas.
  19. 2 extreme ends of a spectrum. Somewhere in the middle is better. I disagree about these 2 in particular. C-3PO is a chrome gold character, so the chrome gold minifigure will obviously be in high demand. And Spider-man with a black suit is a highly desirable variant of a very popular character, and is in fact the only Spider-man I have any interest in personally. So in my mind, these should have been more widely available.
  20. I like it. The new tail piece is cool, and I look forward to seeing new uses for that mold down the line...
  21. I keep forgetting the first r in Varlyrio, my bad. Calif-lynn
  22. I agree completely with the basis of this thread.
  23. I just pasted the image link and the forum converted that into the image on its own.
