  1. So I heard that they found a way to include Leia in Episode IX using unused footage. Much better than having her die off screen. I expect IX to be much better than VIII, which won't be difficult. I look forward to watching it at home.
  2. I absolutely agree that the system scale sets are not up to par with D2C sets, but they are also the only way to complete the castle in that scale. But definitely, a D2C Expert level Hogwarts would have been amazing, and would still if they could do it.
  3. Meh. For what it is, it's great. It's hard to make microscale look good. The outside of this set does look good for the scale. The inside suffers from the choice. The sheer number of tiny characters is impressive, and the differences between them all is nice to see, but the designs are overall a bit weak due to the limitations of the scale. I do like the 4 included minifigures, I think it was a very interesting choice to include the founders here. None of them are too impressive, however, as far as parts go. I'm not going to go out of my way to get any of them. So, overall it's a disappointment because of the scale chosen, but I can understand that many who do not care about scale will still be excited about the set. Personally, it's an easy pass, and it lets me spend more on the system / minifigure scale sets.
  4. I wouldn't mind much, those brought some nice pieces. But yeah, there are better ideas out there...
  5. Yes, it really matters. There are people who only collect minifigure scale, like myself. I really don't care for microscale at all. So it does matter to me. And yes to the minifigures. Large sets that go for several hundred dollars usually include a good number of minifigures, and this does not. I get why it doesn't, and the ones included are nice, but it could have been better. The price is fair, though, so I'll give you that.
  6. Nice. I like that torso, it could prove useful for my builds.
  7. Fair enough on the second point. But as for the first point, I just disagree and would rather see things as early as possible. For example, it was nice to see the tiny people from Hogwarts before it was unveiled so that it would lessen the blow of a microscale Hogwarts when it was eventually revealed. And when it's stuff I like, it just gets me more excited about the release to see it early.
  8. That's pretty awesome, and quite a compliment. They do look great in the third dimension.
  9. Why? Anyways, it looks good for what it is. Shame they went microscale on it, but I guess it makes sense. It would look so good to have the same build in minifigure scale. The founders are cool, but not so nice that I need to spend a chunk of cash on them. All in all, it's a glorified parts pack to me.
  10. True. Lack of side-saddling is just something I guess I've come to accept.
  11. But this actually uses the real candy. So it's just a matter of acquiring the license to make a LEGO set with m&m candies...
  12. That is pretty cool. I hate stickers on LEGO, but these are nice on their own.
  13. It was exclusive at the time, right? So when they said that, it was the truth...
  14. With this in mind, would it really matter how large or small a Guild is? It seems there could be an imbalance in the number of participants in each guild without an imbalance in gameplay, which would mean that there should be no issue with having all 5 Guilds open as far as I can tell.
  15. I think it looks sweet! The price may seem high, but we don't have a confirmed part count yet. I'm trying to read the print on the long wedge shape, but I can't quite make out the text. Anyways, it's fantastic. I love the shape and colors here. I think it all works really well together. And for a minidoll, Sweet Mayhem is a nice design.
  16. Ah, I didn't realize there were unprinted versions of those parts! Thanks for the heads up. Also, typo, the set number is 41196 for those interested. And even though I'm looking on the US B&P site, it's showing up as $0.74 CAD (which should come out to roughly $0.56 USD). Weird. The Euro conversion comes out to $0.79 USD.
  17. What's the part number of that purple diamond? What set is it in unprinted? Thanks for the tip!
  18. Same. Castle is the best.
  19. So has anyone tried the Minifigure Factory? I'd love to see some results.
  20. Not very well, and especially not if there is a print involved.
  21. That's a pretty sweet idea. I love it.
  22. Interesting. Didn't really care for that depiction of Raven, I prefer her to be more sardonic rather than just sad like she is here. Still, might be cool. Doubt I will enjoy it as much as Teen Titans Go, though.
  23. It's adorable. This would make a great official set. Nice job!
  24. Having seen images of the characters, I'd love an Ocean Master minifigure. It would be an instant buy if done well. And maybe a Brine King bigfig?
  25. The set is cool. I like Spider Gwen, even though this minifigure doesn't really do her justice. Love getting a new Venom. I hope this leads to a black suit Spider-Man down the road. The only custom LEGO I own is my favorite comics character, Silver Surfer, because I just know LEGO will never make a chromed one. Let's hope I eat these words.
