If you feel that way, you could go one further and think of it as an insult to you, personally, since you're clearly the biggest fan of LEGO and Doctor Who. I'm a bit disappointed it's not a minifigure scale car with a Bond minifigure.

Huge bummer. I guess it will be in pieces over time. I hope it is completed some day. Minifigure / System scale is the only thing that appeals to me. I hate the idea that only positive viewpoints should be expressed. There's no need for moderation. There's a need to accept that some people will like a set, and others won't. Both are perfectly acceptable reactions, and both should be allowed in a discussion. I, for one, hate this microscale idea, and would have loved a huge Hogwarts with all of the most interesting parts, about the size of 3+ modulars. That would have been worth the price. The microscale set will basically be a glorified parts pack for someone like me, and will only be worth a purchase (at a discount) if it has multiple very desirable exclusive minifigures. Otherwise, it might be more cost effective to buy the one or two minifigures I really want.

Glad to hear it. I only have Black Panther and Spiderman Homecoming left to watch. Looking forward to them.

I agree with his feelings on the sets and movie. I disagree with some words he used, and his throwing of LEGO into the garbage.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
x105Black replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes, and this one comes with skis as opposed to skates. -
As would I. The Armada idea would be nice, considering they can do a much better job of it this time around. I wasn't much of a fan of those minifigures.

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
x105Black replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Fair enough. I still believe that the minifigure is superior to the minidoll, and that the minidoll is less realistic and versatile in certain ways. -
Doubtful. Doubtful.

The first thing that comes to mind is Game of Thrones. It's something I've seen a lot of people talking about, and it would be a great theme for LEGO. That said, this is probably a discussion for another thread.

That would be a really nice car. I'd love it in System / minifigure scale. I just flat out disagree. I would love to see LEGO branch out and give more attention to more mature themes and ideas. A license like this is a good way to approach that. As far as anyone can tell, adults are currently a relatively small part of the audience. Products like these could increase the number of AFOLs, which is a part of the market that is underserved by their company. It would be much like creating Friends and Elves to appeal to girls and thereby increase the number of feminine LEGO fans and buyers. I don't think that doing this will in any way impact their standing as a company that provides family friendly products. I would even be OK with products deemed 'too adult' for the store shelves only appearing for sale online. I agree with this. LEGO has been using nostalgia products to appeal to adults, and that's a great place to start. I think that there are current products geared more towards adults that would also do well with a LEGO license. This will only help LEGO, which will, in turn, help fans. It's good business. Anyways, as far as this product itself goes, it's too early to tell. I'm hoping it will be System / minifigure scale because that's what I buy. We will have to wait and see. Either way, I'm happy to see this license on the way, and excited about future possibilities.

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
x105Black replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would probably say "as typical" rather than more, as I would with any minifigure that isn't yellow but is made up of the same parts. -

They look like Brickheadz. Though very few characters really work as Brickheadz, in my eyes. -
The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)

Choosing from your list, I would say Scout / Explorer. Scientist is also good, but I like the freedom of being an Explorer.- 991 replies

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
x105Black replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not all minifigures are yellow. Minidolls lack wrist articulation. While they don't specifically articulate at the elbow, minifigures at least have an elbow. I also find the minifigure to be more versatile in its simplicity, while still consisting of specifically molded parts to make a humanoid, but I suppose that's a different discussion to the post I'm quoting. -

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
x105Black replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Minidolls are slightly less sexualized, but in the same vein as The Palace, Monster High, or Bratz in my eyes. But I'm not in the target market for minidolls. My girlfriend is, and she says they look like Polly Pocket, which is to say that they don't look like LEGO. I agree with this. -

Brick-built could be interesting. I could see that working. Yeah, I didn't catch it at first, but it didn't take long to figure out when read aloud. -
Great builds! I particularly like the attention to Fett. Most of all, I love Rocket Raccoon! Nice work!

Lego BrickHeadz 2018 - Rumors & Discussion
x105Black replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I fully expect Brickheadz based on the LEGO Movie 2 characters. An actual Brickheadz character? Maybe that's what the shapeshifting Queen will turn out to be... -
Agreed. I have already picked up the green Raptor and the Stygimoloch.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

That's a good point as well. It could be a completely new threat. I wonder what the shapeshifting represents, how the character will be portrayed in LEGO.
