  1. Both. I usually don't care. It's nice to have comic accurate minifigures, and it's nice to have screen accurate minifigures. I usually just hope that the movies will make costumes that are nice enough interpretations of the comics.
  2. I won't buy it, but I do like Leia in the dress outfit, Lando, the Ugnaught, and Han's legs. Some of the details are interesting, and I'm happy for anyone that's really into this set. Mostly, I'm just glad they did this rather than a microscale build.
  3. I could see that. It's been long enough since the last one for interest to build again, and there are still plenty of characters that could be great as minifigures.
  4. Diagon Alley looks terrible. Only the printed tiles look to be of any interest to me. Just my opinion, though, as are most of my posts, so feel free to ignore or dismiss.
  5. I'm looking forward to seeing what they have on the agenda. Obviously, The LEGO Movie sequel will get it's series. That is (for all intents and purposes) filling a licensed slot. What other licensed series do we expect? Overwatch? I wonder what we could get from a non-licensed theme. There are some good ideas in this thread. A Fireman is probably a safe bet, only because I'm surprised they haven't done that yet. I've been really enjoying the Harry Potter minifigure series, and I hope that there is something else that can capture my attention in the same way. The future is bright for the CMF line.
  6. More microscale? Shameful.
  7. Thank you for this post! I see things much the same way, and I'm happy to know that my views fit into GOH. I think it's a great idea to stay away from typical religious symbols and such from the real world. This is a fantasy world, and as such these real world religions feel weird and out of place. I like that you're coming at it from a background of theology as well. These things are very interesting, and it's fun to think about how religions and such would spring up in a fantasy setting.
  8. Nice review. I like all of the pictures. As far as the poll goes... Microscale = Poor. I do kind of like the minifigures, though.
  9. I could only wish that they would do something like this again. As for the remainder of 2018, what is left? Only Cloud City?
  10. It wasn't really a cartoon, but nobody ever talks about Captain Power, either. Probably would have been much better, and more well remembered, had it been a cartoon. Tank was my dude. But what about Darkwing Duck, SilverHawks, Rocko's Modern Life, or M.A.S.K.?
  11. No way, I disagree and you are awful for saying so! JK (Rowling)
  12. I think the focus on retro-futurism is one of those "could be a nice flavor" type of things, but the main idea is to get a Space theme (preferably one that appeals to both genders instead of a minidoll theme).
  13. My impression from this list is that there will be several smaller sets, which bodes well for the wallet.
  14. You seem to contradict yourself here. Anyways, I like the idea of cat people. I hope to see some minifigures in the future with those attributes.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if Emmet's outfit in the images we have seen is the only outfit that is released for him. Maybe there will be different heads with different expressions, but the outfit could stay the same.
  16. Thank you, I'm looking forward to telling more of his story myself! Thanks, it's great to be here! I love the idea of playing around with different faiths and religions in the area. Yours sounds interesting. I may choose to do something similar in the future.
  17. I love the small builds and characters. The backstory sounds very interesting, looking forward to more from this family. Nice work!
  18. That would be fantastic. Please, someone, do this.
  19. This is gorgeous! I love the overall design. The use of handcuffs here is impressive, I may have to borrow that technique in the future. I just love seeing this many monkeys in a scene, too! It's also cool seeing the bear and panther in this build. It's just fantastic all around. Great job!
  20. I had to look closely to see that it was LEGO. It's a nice design, simple and modern. I'm not used to seeing things at this scale, but it looks good. Nice work!
  21. Wow. Where to start? There are a wealth of great building styles and techniques represented here. I will definitely be studying this. I particularly like the grey and red building, it looks fantastic. It also looks to be important, which a barracks should. The small gnomish build gives me some idea of their architecture and style, which helps a lot. All of the small stalls are wonderful, and the variety of exotic wares on sale here really show that there are representative traders from all over Historica. And of course the sheer magnitude of the build is awesome. It's not one of the biggest but it's quite large and has so much to see. Fantastic job!
  22. These opening builds are small and concise, and both share a simple but elegant style. This looks like a family not to be messed with. Good work!
  23. I really like this small, colorful build. A really nice serene scene of Varlyrian life outside the politics of the big cities. Nice work!
