  1. That's a fantastic build. I love the size of it all, and the cobblestone wharf looks great. The buildings are all well built, and that's a nice usage of the yellow wall panels. It's a good looking ship, as well. It looks nicely populated, with plenty of little details. One thing I'm fond of is the angle of the wharf. Nice work!
  2. I agree. I think the repetition of ideas works against the theme (the same happens with Castle). I'll also agree that the size difference is a big change, too. But while the newer sets are smaller, there's a lot more packed into them in the way of better minifigures, accessories, and other parts. So, in some ways the Pirates theme seems worse (stale ideas and size), but in others, I'd say it's much better (minifigures, accessories, techniques). As much as I would love big sets like El Dorado, and the repetition gets to me, I'd say everything else makes up for it and the end result is a net gain.
  3. I completely understand your point of view. I wonder, however, if these sets appeal to you at all, as they are simply repurposed parts put together in ways that barely work together.
  4. Fair enough. I agree there are a lot of things that we need. As for myself, I'd like an X-Wing, but have yet to be interested in any over the last couple of years.
  5. I can see where you're coming from. It's not so much classic or vintage minifigures I'm talking about, though. It's Collectible Minifigures from previous series, like the Elf or Bumblebee Girl for example, that I'd love to see in these packs. But I do appreciate that they tried to keep them themed (even if I still don't think a Ninja or Cowboy fit the "Warrior" theme, or that the "Musicians" could have come with a guitar or 2).
  6. This is a fantastic build! The cottage looks great, but the landscaping is beautiful. I love that overgrown look, and the difference between the grasses and the leaves. The trees are really nice, as well. Getting back to the cottage itself, I really like all of the detailed stonework, but that rooftop looks fantastic. Great job!
  7. This is a well done castle. I like all of the little details in the stonework, and the rocks look great as well. The wooden sections fit really well with the stone. I really like the landscaping, the two tiers look fantastic and the foliage and tree are wonderful. I also like how the grazing cow fits into the piece. Nice job!
  8. This is a beautiful little castle. The stonework looks great, and that tower really stands out, yet fits in really well. I love all of the little details, and the foliage at the base looks great. Good work!
  9. This is a beautiful little cottage! I normally don't like that green too much, but it works exceptionally well with this color scheme. The rooftop and fences are my favorite parts. Good work!
  10. Wow, that's a fantastic build! The desert sands are wonderful, and the lush greenery by the river stands out beautifully. I love the well worn look of the structure, which has a really nice design to it. The tan colors work very well with the dark red. Of course, all of the round walls are great, and the dome tops are perfect. This is an excellent desert fortress. Nice work!
  11. I don't agree with this. There is a good variety of X-Wings. I'm not a fan of all X-Wing designs, but there are some I am interested in. As I said earlier, I didn't much care for the ones released in the past year, but this one looks nice.
  12. I'm not sure. I just thought I remembered someone mentioning it. I don't remember where. Maybe it was in a dream?
  13. That's a shame. I thought I heard at some point that he went back to the side of good.
  14. Ah, that could be the case. Well, if he's different, I'm hoping for the good Jestro: It's a solid design, and gives us yet another great Jester minifigure. He would work well in Castle builds.
  15. I completely disagree. When compared to these ramshackle amalgamations of parts, proper minifigures would be far better. It would also allow those who missed out on previous series the opportunity to buy some of the best minifigures from the theme at a retail price, which can only be a good thing. Either way, if you are a collector and you have all of the minifigures, both ideas offer you nothing new.
  16. I wonder how Jestro will be the same minifigure, but look different. Maybe a new face print? Or maybe we get lucky and it's the good Jestro rather than the evil one. I'd like that. As far as the sets, I'm not sure what to expect. As always, I'm hoping for something I'll find useful for Castle themed builds (since LEGO consider this to be Castle). None of the Knight vehicles sound promising, mostly because none of them were in the previous two waves. But I don't know what to expect from these villains. I wonder if I will find them even more useful than the Lava villains. I did get several Ash Attacker bodies, I'm hoping for villain minifigures that offer as much usefulness as that character. I'm also hoping for an even better looking Lance. The only piece I got from the previous Lance minifigure was his visor (multiples). I really want to like Nexo Knights.
  17. Wow, you got 8 Spies? I'd be happy about the 3 Rogues, anyways. Well, now I know not to order them online. Sorry it turned out this way for you.
  18. Awesome! That's a classic parody, glad you liked it.
  19. How does this have even 6 supporters?
  20. I can see this happening, but I don't think we'll know about it until pretty close to release. I'd guess it's probably at least about a year away.
  21. I also think Krennic's Shuttle is the best of the wave. If I get it, it may be the only Rogue One set I get.
  22. That's a great looking X-Wing. I didn't care much for the previous 2 (Force Awakens) X-Wings, but this one I would be much more likely to buy. The color scheme is great, it looks almost Imperial.
  23. It may sound juvenile to some, but I'm serious. I think it would actually be cool to see Nexo Knights touch on various themes during it's run.
  24. I watched Youngblood, a hockey movie with Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, and Keanu Reeves. Former Chicago Blackhawk Eric Nesterenko is also featured in the film. I really enjoyed this movie. As a hockey fan, and someone who is about to get back into league play, this was really fun to watch. Also, being from 1986, it had a great 80's feel and a great score.
  25. I agree. That would have been so much better.
