  1. This is an awesome repurposing of Chima figures and banners. The build is fantastic. I've always wanted to make a transparent castle of my own, it's great to see what the concept looks like. Good work!
  2. Sure, it doesn't do much, but it's an interesting concept (a build in a pop-up book style), and the builds themselves look great. For me, it's mostly the themed builds that I'm interested in.
  3. It's great! I love the jungle and castle scenes, and hope that the production version would come with all of the scenes.. Supported! Very happy to hear it!
  4. Yeah, that's creepy. And just not a great build.
  5. So I guess there's no seasonal minifigure sets this year?
  6. I really don't care if there are farmer bots or other robot characters, but civilian sets would be nice if they include civilian minifigures (hopefully without Tron lines).
  7. I just got home from watching Kubo and the Two Strings. What a great movie. I highly recommend it.
  8. I don't know why that would be an issue. Ideas, as I understand it, exists outside of the other themes. So an Architecture Ideas project is just as viable as any other (so long as this specific subject matter isn't already in their plans).
  9. I agree. WhiteFang's CMF reviews are almost as good as having them in hand. He does such a great job. I hope to see it soon.
  10. Right! LEGO makes mistakes often. We may not all agree on what the mistakes are, but they make them because they take calculated risks. So, even if they fail with, for example, Chima, that will not impact them in the long term. The company will continue to be successful.
  11. Wow, that's a really fun and interesting video! Thanks for posting!
  12. I thought it was good, despite it being smaller than it's predecessors. Minifigures were excellent.
  13. And this is really the target market, in my opinion.
  14. Well, the UCS Falcon was originally released in 2007 (almost a decade ago) and stuck around until about 6 years ago. So I wouldn't say it was recent. I agree, this should be in the Wishlist thread. About 2017 sets, I'm still wondering what I'm going to do with the other minifigures in the set after I get Thrawn. I've got no interest in Rebels minifigures (although a Droid is nice to have). Maybe I'll think differently after I watch the show.
  15. Why thanks -- hey waaaaait a minute. I smell that sarcasm...
  16. I'm hoping for a return to real Castle themes in 2019 at the latest. I'd really like to see something much sooner, since there hasn't really been one since 2013. Until then, Nexo Knights and Elves will have to continue to offer up good parts to Bricks & Pieces / BrickLink. KK2 was Jellybeans. NK is Rock Candy. Maybe, but until we have official news I'll remain skeptical.
  17. Well yeah, of course I'm always going on about the Wolfpack. They're awesome. But you're good at sniffing out the jokers. Guess it takes one to know one.
  18. I'll have to consider this input. Thanks! Ender's Shadow seemed a bit unrelated to me, tangentially connected to Ender's story, but maybe I'll pick that one up. I don't mind intellectual. I found Speaker to be more intellectual and less action packed than Ender's Game already, but thoroughly enjoyed both. Thanks for the opinion, though! Do it! It was a really good read. I've got a couple more Bradbury books I plan to read, as well. He's a brilliant writer.
  19. - Prince Xizor
  20. I expect LEGO to outlast everyone here. I see no reason for LEGO to fail, despite regular failures.
  21. I went to the LEGO Store and didn't see one on the shelves. Maybe we need one.
  22. I have a few more Rogues now! Great minifigure, but I still think they need to make a proper Wolfpack minifigure.
  23. This morning I finished reading Speaker For The Dead. It was a great read. I'm not sure if I will continue reading other books in the series, but I really enjoyed this one and Ender's Game. Very different, but both very good. I also started to read Robert Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Place this afternoon. I'm excited to be reading Heinlein, this is my first and I've heard great things. I'm only about 15 pages in, and I'm already enjoying it quite a bit.
  24. I watched Who's Harry Crumb? at work today. Silly.
