Herlock Sholmes - TAOFTHRM 4
Murdoch17 replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The mystery deepens! Also, good song choice. I though it seemed familiar. -
If Main Street is a re-re-release, it would be very cool. I wanted the first redo in 2003 when I was quite young, but missed out on it. This (if correct) would be a dream come true!

Those fantastically expensive 1:87 LEGO cars/trucks
Murdoch17 replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Eurobricks isn't meant to host pictures. You'll have to upload them elsewhere (like Flickr or Bricksafe) and link to them here. Also, tagging @LEGO Historian to help you out with this. As a side note, welcome to Eurobricks! -
Here is where you can find the file... can't link directly to it, but this link takes you to Bricksafe. NOTE: The LDD file is not complete. You need the following parts to finish the model: 36841 Bracket 1 x 1 - 1 x 1 (black, x2) 36840 Bracket 1 x 1 - 1 x 1 inverted (blue, x2) 64570 Bracket 2 x 6 - 1 x 6 Inverted (black, x1) 80683 Door 3 x 6 (white, x2) 42205 Door Frame 1 x 6 x 6 (white, x1) You will have to convert the LDD file to studio in order to load it on that program. I don't know how to do that, but I know it is possible. Have fun @franzal! I can't wait to see it if you build it in real life!
-
No, they are not compatible. The Technic axles used on the RC, PF, and PU motors will collide with the closed-hub sides of the 9v-era motor sides you are talking about. You need either 39886 or 2871b (there is no functional difference between the two I've linked too), as these have open hubs which allow the technic axles to fit.

Thanks. I don't have a studio file, all I have is a LDD file, which is missing a lot of parts. Do you still want me to post it, @franzal?

For those of you who have seen pictures of the car, is it 6 wide or 8? My reason is I was thinking about using it in my Johnny Thunder display, but only if it's six wide. Thanks in advance! -

I also eagerly await the vintage car... haven't seen the pictures yet, but I know it's got to be good based on what everyone is saying! -
@AllanSmith Here is the recreated model with six wide cab. Features new side-by-side seating. (which might not work IRL)
-
I actually did try that first when re-building it. I didn't like how it turned out (Can't put my finger on it, but it honestly didn't look good to me) and I didn't take pictures to document it. Sorry!

Are we sure this GWP starts tomorrow? I have seen nothing about it yet except for pictures being revealed. Brickset has said nothing about it coming tomorrow, and they are pretty good about these things! I have a family member trying to plan his purchases, and I don't want to steer him wrong... EDIT: Never mind! Called the Lego store and it indeed DOES start tomorrow.

As of this afternoon, the moving truck and furniture have been ordered. I had to change the printed picture in the frame, but it had to be done in order to be cheap. It was about $15 (US) for 87 parts, 77 of which you can see in this picture.

Thanks! He's got 9v out the wazoo... he's got only about ten missing 9v era sets. Sadly, he never runs them. Thanks, me too!

Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't even THINK that. If that turns out to be true, move someplace untraceable, never go online again, and don't forget to fake your own death. Otherwise, LEGO, Disney, and LEGO Disney fans will eat you ALIVE! The Mr. Gold figure was bad enough of a fiasco... Just kidding. (kinda) -
I recreated set 40586 (Moving Truck GWP) in blue, and changed the wheels, rear-view mirrors, front bumper, and a few other things. You may be asking why I chose blue for the truck. The answer is simple: I had two blue wheel arches lying around unused, and this neatly solves that! The rear of the truck. The roof comes off and the ramp slides out. Also in this picture you can see the cabin door opens. The roof of the cab section also comes off to seat a driver at the wheel. Thoughts?

Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yep. Disney wasn't doing so well for many years after Walt died. The live action films sucked badly for the most part (watch the last two original Herbie films, for example) and animation also had issues. The Renaissance started in the mid-to-late '80s with Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Personally, I also like Robin Hood, alongside Aristocats (we almost got a sequel to this one!) and the Great Mouse Detective, among others. -
Thanks! I don't know about instructions (No idea how to do that), but I can give you a LDD file for the red car alone. As for the tan car, as it was inspired by somebody *else* and their instructions (as stated in the main post), so that's not going to happen, sorry.

Thanks @Paperinik77pk! "This is getting out of hand... now there are two of them!" The one on the right is my original switch tower, while the one on the left is my Dad's (slightly different) copy. He paid for the model and I built it. I ordered the parts last Sunday, the three orders arrived Wednesday and Thursday and construction was completed last night Thoughts anybody?

Welcome to Eurobricks! You've got a nice MOD there... love the tow rope add-on on the front bumper. Not very practical in the real world, but this is LEGO, so reality doesn't matter! Great work @Sentinel!

Here are my two revamped Adventurers vehicles: the tan Scorpion Tracker owned by Johnny Thunder, and the red Island Racer purchased by Lord Sam Sinister. SCORPION TRACKER This car was heavily modified from a model by BricksAA and these free MOC instructions over on Rebrickable. The car is named the Scorpion Tracker, named after set 5918 (Scorpion Tracker) but styled after set 2995. (Adventurers car and skeleton) The car also features a spare tire hanging at the back of the vehicle. This vehicle can seat three figures total, which usually means Johnny at the wheel, Dr. Kilroy riding shotgun beside him and Pippin Reed seated in the back. ISLAND RACER I took another look at 2020 set 40409 (Hot Rod) and, after tinkering with it a bit, was reminded of the 2000 set 5920 (Island Racer) from Adventurers. I thought about how the styles could merge into one car, and this is the result. The grille, headlights, and bonnet have all been changed, and the color swapped from blue to red. I also used the longer red wheel arches to go around the short red arches extreme scarcity. (I actually like this change better, honestly.) Thoughts? EDITED 4/24/24: I changed around the Scorpion Tracker to have it's top down. The newly revised Johnny Thunder, Pippin Reed and Dr. Kilroy are also shown.
