This loco was originally from the 2010 CITY set 7939 - Cargo Train and first designed in red for my brother. (who ended up not building it in real life after all) I removed the rear cab and replaced it with a personnel door for access to the train and recolored it to yellow for use by me. I then looked back on what I made, and realized it actually resembled a real engine completely on accident! It appears I made a General Electric 'Genesis' series loco, specifically a P42DC as those were the most common of the sub-types. The Genesis types weren't used by freight railroads - just passenger-only carriers like Amtrak or VIA - but this is my railroad and what I say goes! Here we see the front of the locomotive. The rear side of the loco with the crew access door at the very back. The cab front flips up to put a figure at the controls. (I removed the cab roof here to make taking the picture easier.) To read more about the Genesis locomotive types, check out this Wikipedia link. Thoughts?

I was referring to ChrisXY's comment about German "daylight robbery law"(s). No offense meant to Germany itself or people from Germany.

There are other options available to buy things from on BL, and if there aren't, the stores can charge what they like. If people don't do research that's on them. "Buyer beware", and all that. Besides, Bricklink can't get in trouble - they aren't the ones selling, the individual stores are. And even if they could sue Bricklink for this, they'd have to also sue Ebay, Amazon Marketplace, and so on.... Germany can try to go up against LEGO legally, but Amazon and Ebay, LEGO, and every other major resale website? There's not a snowball's chance in hell they'd win that case. As for the community bit: Bricklink was founded in 1999. This has always been the way of things - and the community has been doing just fine.

Are there too many licensed LEGO themes?

Imposter must be an AI bot. Or a troll at the very least. This is also his third EB account with Turtle and RiddlerDC being his others that were banned - they all write EXACTLY the same way, among other things. I keep reporting him for breaking the rules but no one has stopped him this time yet despite this flagrant violation of the rules of EB. It's maddening. -

You're in the wrong topic: This isn't the 2024 Dreamzzz thread. -

Because it's been running since 2023? -
First off, welcome to Eurobricks and the Train Tech subforum! Don't forget to introduce your self in the registry thread here in Train Tech and in the new member area of Eurobricks! Second: sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but considering Coaster hasn't been online since 2022, I'd say your chances are pretty slim on that file request @shovel__man.

waiting for what? I answered your question. -
Yes, finally!! I'm hoping the portal windows are a sign a F-unit is on the horizon. It has to be a sign, right? (or am I just crazy?)

Short answer: Yes, it's worth it. Long answer: Yes, it's worth it. Get it while it's available! -
You could buy the loco sperate from the cars. More in shipping overall but it splits it up over time @faph...

What does that even mean? I'm starting to think you're an A.I. bot or a troll just picking words at random....

Are there too many licensed LEGO themes?

Again, they are number 1 in the world. They've got the cash to cover it.... this isn't like it was in the early 2000's. -

LEGO is number one toy maker in the world, and continues to grow while the market is shrinking. I think they'll be fine with paying those fees... if they couldn't they would have said "no thanks, we'll pass on this one" to the originator of the license. -
Basically the rule of thumb is this: Just because you see something on the internet, doesn't mean it's true. You should always double check sources before sticking your neck out like this. Just sayin'.

Huh.... the theme that emulates the creative buckets of old (classic) apparently lacks imagination! Who'd a thought!?! Also, Brickheadz are licensed, whereas botanicals are not. (I think this guy is trolling us, folks.) -
