  1. Nice work on this @DrJimbo! I especially love the mini lighthouse on the MOC's desk.... but I must ask: does that have a tiny lighthouse model inside it too?
  2. @Jim @aFrInaTi0n I'm seeing multiple issues with the site - formatting is going wonky at times on different pages*, and avatars are sometimes missing totally - there is a blank box instead. Refreshing the page (at least once) usually fixes it temporarily. It wasn't doing any of this until late today. *I.E. sometimes it's correct, sometimes it's all centered, once over in the pirates section it looked so wrong I'm not sure where to begin to describe it! I'm on a Windows 11 using Chrome, all current and up-to-date on both, if that helps.
  3. It's very nice @Brick900. I do think the garage is nigh unusable to cars though - too small, and too tight corners! But I could be wrong...
  4. Wow, that's quite a list. I wonder what the lone 8+ set will be? And I guess with all the 5+ and 4+ sets, stickers will not be included. (yay!)
  5. But classic themes WEREN'T really working for them much anymore by the time Star Wars came out. LEGO almost was bought out (a serious offer from Mattel was being considered by top leadership - including the founding family!) due to the financial woes of LEGO stemming from the 1990s / late 80's over-specialization, the costs of holding onto mountains of unneeded molds*, vats of too many little-used colors (Maersk blue, sand red, etc.), in-house videogame development, the theme parks, and so on. Also, MAJOR non-licensed themes Jack Stone and Galidor (a LEGO original with a show made about it by Fox Kids that is absolutely unwatchable) flopped extremely hard in that same time, along with Monorail, Scala, Belleville, and anything with fiberoptic parts. (Spybotics, anyone?) *For example: This part's mold from 2000 were made with a insert put into a lower battery box mold from 4.5V trains, last used in 1985 - fifteen years prior!
  6. Can you post the text of this list into the thread so people don't have to go elsewhere to view it? As long as it's not pictures, it's safe to post here AFAIK.
  7. Sadly, You can't post photos directly. The space provided is for your avatar and signature. You're gonna need to find another site to host the photos, then post them here.
  8. Thanks for the alternate views @idlemarvel! The MOC has a quaint retro charm to it, as if it were a MOC from around 15 years ago. Are you going to built it in the real world?
  9. Brickshelf has been bought since it was going to be shut down, so it's not available right now. EB has never had picture uploads, and I don't think ever will. You need to find someplace else to upload photos.
  10. Nice work @idlemarvel! Do you have anymore views of this MOC? i need to see more!
  11. Yes! I am supposed to receive messages on followed topics - I'm not getting anything, although I know they have received replies. Tagging @Jim and @aFrInaTi0n so they know.
  12. FINALLY! Long Have I waited for this day...
  13. Sorry to double post, but I just learned Val Kilmer is dead at age 65 and thought you all should know, considering he was Batman for a short while. (Batman Forever) Rest In Peace, Val Kilmer (1959 - 2025)
  14. Sigh. Every time the Indiana Jones thread pops back up, it's the same thing: People getting excited over nothing, because the theme isn't coming back. This song (Round and Round by Ratt) comes to mind every time that thread reappears. Here's the last verse (I replaced the word love with LEGO for the purposes of this thread): 'Round and round With LEGO we'll find a way, just give it time Round and round What comes around goes around I'll tell you why, why, why, why Round and round' (Repeat ad nauseum until the sun burns out.) I posted this here because people might not take kindly to it over there, and because I don't want to bump that thread. Thoughts?
  15. RE: Violent Deaths: Don't forget Makuta Icarax, who had his atoms spread throughout the Matoran Universe by a teleportation mask power run amok!
  16. Wait. Those are two separate characters? Mind. Blown.
  17. @Feuer Zug @zephyr1934 @XG BC @Shiva It's finished in the real world! There are more pictures in the updated first post! NOTE: If I tagged you, it was because you replied before.
  18. @Renny The Spaceman If I remember correctly, the Dummy was in the film, but not as a master builder.... he was in the background of the Cloud Cuckoo Land scenes at least once. I have no screenshots as proof, but i did just watch TLM 1, TLBM, and TLM 2 back-to-back-to-back, and he was 100% there in the first one. (and in case your wondering why 'the other film' wasn't included in my binge, I refuse to watch the LEGO Ninjago Movie ever again. Seeing it in theatres was bad enough!)
  19. My advice @Legofan2001: Believe nothing for the next 48 hours until it is no longer April 1 at any point on the globe.
  20. Ummm... LEGO did make an official Rogue Shadow. Set 7672, released in 2008, as seen below. You MOC is certainly much better though!
  21. As much as I would love to see The Nautilus submarine, it probably won't happen. The LEGO Ideas projects for those were not selected (in Mary Poppins case, several times!) so I don't think either Lego or Disney want to do them. We have about as much chance as getting sets from those films as getting the Ulysses from Atlantis: The Lost Empire or the General and Texas steam locos from The Great Locomotive Chase. (my two personal picks for dream sets) Basically, it just isn't gonna happen. Sorry @domitim.
  22. All right everyone, chill. I'm here. @Mandalorianknight Thanks for the inclusion of my sig-fig. This is a very cool series of vignettes, and I hope you continue with the Aslume theme in the future. Now, If you'll excuse me, I'm off to enjoy an ice-cold Dr Pepper. (No, really!)
  23. Congrats on your first LEGO purchase @elitist! I hope you find it fun, and I also can't wait to see how it goes with the construction!
