Cool, nice build. Just don't think yellow looks good on a fast car.

Awesome sets you got back in the days, man. Looks like Pizza was always a part of LEGO shops, then and now. I'm a big fan of buildings, but I don't dislike the City sets. Just don't collect them as often.. only bought 2 this year. Arctic Base Camp and the latest Train Station. The rest of my buys are 90% creator sets, the rest were stray purchases. Still enjoy the smaller buildings.

santaends replied to henrysunset's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Tan: Fallingwater, Imperial Hotel, Louvre. White: Trevi Fountain, White House. Others: Robie House. I always thought they should come up with some dark tan based sets.. haha.- 31 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
santaends replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Not dark red, they break so easily. Dark green will be awesome.. so is return of sand red. -
Congrats! You will be a happy man.

City sets have always been a stable winner for LEGO, you got to milk the cash cow so they can afford riskier designs in other themes. That being said, I wouldn't mind more buildings. Every city set seems to contain wheels or boats.. if you get what I mean.

Man.. this is one of the best threads in the town forum.

Half a bridgade? Cool... either the dark red tiles all broke, or you're bricklinking it. I have 1 Pet shop, 1 Parisian and 1 Detective's office.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
santaends replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Haha what a good way to use that! Brick Adjuster uses them as a sigfig bridge. Man, us Asian collectors will be so sad. It will occupy so much room in our small apartments xD -
Sand green 1*2 hinge, 1*8 brick 1*6 brick Town hall black slope piece that looks like a pyramid with the top cut off Cafe corner dark red slopes are pretty expensive, so are the 2*4*3 white windows and the grey turnable. Olive green bricks from PR.. but they are available freely for now as it hasn't EOLed. Pet shop 1*2 sand blue with grooves as well as various 1*X bricks.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Hope the new modular uses some rare colours. Not grey, please. -
The colour scheme, oh my.. looks like it came straight out of Harry Potter.. love it to bits. But why only a surface layer of dark red?

So much love from the community.. :O

Welcome! I like other people's MOCs too. Inspired by them yeah, but not to the point of getting to building straight away.. :o

Hi, nice to meet you. Technic sets are cool. Appreciate your environmentally friendly view.

Hi there! Lego prices are pretty high here too, people like us who are on a budget can benefit from good deals from unconventional places like local eBay or Craigslist.
-
Welcome to EB! Just joined recently too.

Hi everyone, you can call me Santa. I'm in my early 20s, a university undergrad from Singapore. Have been browsing EB and a few other LEGO fan sites and forums local and international for a while now. My favourite theme is Creator, favourite subtheme is winter village (as you can tell from my username) and I normally buy and build buildings. Miniland scale is another area of interest, they're beautiful. However I have not MOC- ed any yet. My favourite part about LEGO is the building process as well as appreciating use of unconventional parts and pieces I have never seen before. Have been making forum based reviews as well as filming music videos from an online MMORPG, which I played for over 10 years. Hope to learn more about reviewing LEGO sets, photography to be precise. Would want to tackle MOCs in the future, but I don't want to mix up my sets for now, although they're mostly broken down and colour sorted in ziplocs. Looking forward to getting to know more people.

A train station would be nice. Seeing the lack of an expert train set this year.. haha.
